He watched her leave understanding her unspoken command that he stay put, the cave was reasonably warm and dry, in one corner he found a place where she had stored the fur she shed each spring. It was a little dirty from being shoved into the corner but it more than made up for that inconvenience by being thick and silky soft. With quick agile fingers, the Homos Erectus pulled and twisted the fur shaping it into a rough covering that it could use to cover itself with. It was warm and comforting and he curled back up to sleep until she returned.
She had brought him food and even though he knew what the pieces of frozen meat were he had no choice but to eat what was offered to him, his stomach heaved as he chewed and it took a huge amount of effort not to vomit it back up. He did not have a choice, there was no other food to sustain them, it was eat or die and he had a very strong survival instinct just as she had. When they grew tired of eating she nudged him outside to a small recess in the mountain and he quickly understood it was a place to relieve himself so as not to sully their living area. When he returned he curled up into her thick fur and they slept and this set the pattern for the following days. He showed how useful he could be because he had two legs and two other things that were not legs strange appendages that could do things she could not. When she went out hunting he cleared out the debris from the cave throwing it down the mountainside far away from them, he used an animal skull as a vessel to hold some snow in while it melted giving her something to drink rather than eating it to satisfy her thirst. They were completely isolated, the only two living things in a world that was having to reset itself so soon after its birth and they came to understand each other learning to work together to ensure they both survived. Then just as they had settled into a routine together and as she had known she would, the She-Wolf went into Heat. The Homo-Erectus male, still more animal than Homo-Sapien scented it immediately and his deep blue eyes glowed with desire his carnal instincts kicking in. At first, she growled viciously when he tried to approach her, his scent telling her he was eager to mate for the first time. He frowned and backed away at the sight of those powerful teeth bared at him not understanding why she would refuse his advances when he could sense her need to mate.
Retreating to the back of the cave, his eyes never left her as she paced the cave restlessly growling and shaking her thick fur in her frustration occasionally going outside to run and howl in an attempt to relieve the pressure. As the days passed the burning inside her grew intense to a wild fever pitch forcing her to rub along the icy walls trying to use the icy cold to ease the itch but it only made things worse. He stayed very still, his animal instincts telling him to be patient as his desires burned just as deeply as he loosened the skins wrapped around his body so she could scent his readiness to help her. The She-Wolf lay near the entrance to the cave panting hard but it was no use, no amount of snow or ice could cool the intense burning inside her body she knew that only the male creature could do that. Turning her brilliant blue eyes to look at him she assessed him critically, he was not as powerful as the Alpha Wolf she had mated with since her first season but his body was muscled and he was tall. When he stood up on his two back paws he towered over her but his strength nowhere near matched her own, it would take no real effort on her part to dispose of him if she needed to. The urge inside her had grown to a fever pitch, she was crazed with the need to mate and satisfy the primal need inside her. He could feel it too and as met her gaze he did something very strange to her, he removed the skins covering the lower half of his body and her eyes locked on to his male member. It was huge, long and thick, much bigger than the Alpha’s although she had only seen that once when she had witnessed him mating another female who she had killed afterwards in a jealous rage. The strange male creature stood on its back paws towering over her and she watched him approach her cautiously one of his front paws held his member. He was stroking it up and down his mating scent was so strong it fascinated her as she watched it grow even bigger. She crouched before him her need now so great it matched the males and she did not move when he walked behind her placing his other paw on her hip and grunting his approval when she remained still. Ancient primal instincts long buried in each of their genetic make-ups rushed into their bloodstreams and their eyes turned onyx when she moved her tail granting him access to her body. The male gave a deep grunt of pleasure as he moved his body into position his fingers curling into her thick white fur as drove his rock-hard member deeply into her warm wetness. Over the next three moons they mated again and again until she hit her most fertile cycle and the magic happened his seed impregnated her eggs.
The Goddess turned to the Creator,
‘It is done.’
She said as they watched the strange coupling,
‘Are you ready to lead a new Species my love?’
The Creator smiled and kissed her neck his arms around her holding her tightly as she fed their Son at her breast,
‘I am ready and eager to see them populate this new planet.’
She smiled up at him and he chuckled,‘They will not have it all their own way my love, you know what the plans are for this pretty blue planet it will be an interesting experiment watching how they all develop.’The male creature had one more act he needed to perform, and as the She-Wolf's belly grew big with the approaching birth it made it difficult for her to hunt and she knew it was essential that both her and her Pups survived. Two days before she gave birth she did what she had to do and killed him as his meat would feed her and her Pups until the Spring thaw she had given birth to six Pups, three male and three female but only four of them mattered, they were the new Species and when the time was right they took the lives of their siblings and their mother as they needed the food to help them survive. The world settled around them with the great continents detaching themselves from each other to form the land masses of today and the Homo-
Just as they knew of the other creatures that the humans had long forgotten, the powerful Dragons that remained behind their protective shield, the stunning winged unicorns descendants of the mighty Pegasus, the Elves, Faeries, Witches and Warlocks who lived by the ancient codes of magic. All had once shared their lives with the Homo-Sapien race and believed they lived peacefully and helped their neighbours when needed. It was the humans who developed their strong beliefs in a higher Deity rejecting the world of magic and myth and turning against them viewing them as their greatest enemy. They had simply stopped believing as they evolved and developed finding they no longer needed magic when science overtook the old ways and truth became greater than fiction. Humans could fly like birds, only higher and further, they had flown into Space, and they could swim like the fish only deeper and faster as they plundered the bounty of the seas. On land they bred at such a rapid rate they soo
She laughed heartily as he grabbed her and gave her a hug,‘I don’t tell you often enough how much I appreciate all you do for me.’He kissed the top of her head and let her go so he could pick up his sandwich and take a huge bite chewing contentedly,‘It’s nice to be useful.’She grinned and bustled off to his room to make sure the maids had finished his bed and put his clothes away properly and when she closed the door he mind-linked his Beta,‘Karl, bring the Warriors to my office in half an hour’He commanded,‘Yes Alpha, we’re on our way’Alexis stood looking out of his office window at the snow capped mountain finishing his sandwich he felt restless and had a deep foreboding something was coming and it wasn’t going to be good.Aurora sat in her room brushing her long, rich copper coloured hair, it was stunning, a myriad of colours from pale gold to rich crimson a legacy from her Mother she had been told many times growing up. Not that she would know, her Mother had died two week
‘There is nothing I can do for you my Princess, your future is set but your daughter has the blood of both sides running through her veins. On her eighteenth birthday she will inherit the powers of her Ancestors and the magic that runs in your blood that you have had to repress. She will stop the Hunters, including the man you love so much, and your people will be forever free.’Aurora was born at midnight on All Hallows Eve, the wind was howling and hailstones battered the castle as the wildest storm anyone had ever seen raged. She came into the world waving her tiny fists and shouting right back at the storm and as her Mother held her in her arms for the first time the storm broke. Holding her tightly the Princess took her to the window as a huge incredible moon appeared, it was blood red and all around it the clouds seemed to be on fire as the colour seeped into them.‘The Blood Moon, little daughter.’The Princess understood the Goddesses sign,‘It is for you Aurora and I am truly
Martha carried on,‘This is how they work, this ‘feeling’ is just the beginning. Slowly Pack members will become Paranoid and start reacting to each other. It weakens the Pack so that when the Hunters attack it makes their job so much easier. Without the strength of Pack unity, we become easy targets fighting solo instead of together.’She stopped and looked at Alexis her face reflecting her sadness,‘I’m so sorry.’He moved across the room and hugged her tightly,‘Don’t apologise Martha, none of this is youor fault now please can you tell us what else you know?’It wasn’t much more but it was enough, Alexis turned to Karl,‘Go and find Morgana and bring her here.’He asked his Beta who nodded and left immediately.Morgana was the most powerful witch in the whole of the Vottovaara Mountain Region he had found her many years ago, seriously injured and dropped into a ravine just inside their boundary and left to perish. He had been a young wolf, only just coming into his adulthood, out
A bolt of energy slammed through Aurora and she cried out closing her eyes as the room grew brilliant white and the fizzing in her body intensified spreading rapidly through her.The beautiful teenager began to shake and then she was lifted off the ground by a hidden force it spun her violently making her hair fly out around her until everything imploded and she dropped onto her bed like a lead weight her powers had finally been released,‘You are so like her, Aurora, and now you must confront him, show him that you are her daughter, not his. She walks beside you, my dear child. It is time to embrace her. You must take her hand and become the woman she knows you are meant to be.’The Witch touched the Princess's forehead and everything went black and when she opened her eyes again the Witch had gone, all that remained were a few rags on the floor. She turned and looked up at the sky gasping at the beauty of a huge blood-red moon just reaching its zenith in the night sky with the cloud
Joachim did not live long enough to see the Mother of Alexis find her Fated Mate and leave his Pack because she left silently in the early hours when her mate called for her. She knew that to ask his permission would have meant certain death for her, he did not want her in his Pack but he would never have agreed to free her. When her mate had her safely far away from them within his borders the Goddess had intervened sending Constantine and his Hunters to them and the whole Pack had been wiped out. Unfortunately, when Meredith’s Mother heard what had happened it broke her gentle heart, even though he had rejected her and thrown her and their daughter out of his Pack she had never stopped loving her Mate. It destroyed her completely when she discovered her beloved daughter's Mate was the Hunter Prince, the man who had murdered her whole Pack, he was the man who made it his life’s objective to destroy as many of their kind as he could, it was all too much for her. The day before their m
She did not want to be like him and had taught herself to anticipate and respond to his moves instead, practising for hours alone in her room. Now she faced him and put her knowledge into practice, he moved with speed and accuracy and she blocked him and retaliated every time. She toyed with him, wearing him down, he was not as fit as her and was soon panting heavily. No one interfered as she sent him to the floor time and time again, instead, the Warriors stood back watching closely The silver daggers slid across the room out of his reach as she knocked them out of his hands one by one and with a speed and strength that shocked him she broke his wrists. He grunted in pain as she spun him beneath her in a stranglehold squeezing his neck strangling him, he began to turn blue as he fought to breathe,Now his Warriors stepped in and picked up the daggers,‘Release the Leader Aurora’His Second came forward with his two grown-up sons behind him,‘Release him and go back to your room and n
