“No buts and if both of you think that you are a pain for each other then I recommend both of you should take painkillers”, said Miss Harmony.

Everyone in the class laughed at us. We both sat down after realizing that there is no way of reasoning with miss Harmony. Resentment was clear on Kei’s and Mizuki’s faces for each other but they could do nothing. Miss harmony announced the rest of the teams.

Team no 4: Sora and Sisi, Team no 5: Flora and Soma. After announcing other teams, she took our attendance and everyone went to the battle arena.

“Okay, today you are all going to be engaging with mechanic vampires along with your partner. You have to take down these mechanical vampires with the help of each other if your partner fails to even put a scratch on it while you take it down all by yourself the whole team is going to fail. And remember if you get F more than passing marks in each subject for the next week you won’t appear in mids meaning you are going to repeat your mid-session”.

“Oh, and if you get three F in a row it doesn’t matter if it’s a different subject you will have to repeat mids”, said Miss Harmony.

“Why does it sound like you really want someone to repeat mids”, asked Sora.

“Well, if you want to go to the battlefield without any proper training and die in a second then I will give you straight A’s. What do you say”? replied Miss Harmony.

“NO, I’m fine with having proper training even if it means getting an F”, Sora said.

“Wow! Just take a look at these humongous machines”, Mizuki said in wonder.

“Yeah, and the bad thing is that you are my partner”, said Kei in disappointment.

“You think I’m enjoying being your partner”, Mizuki replied in disgust.

“Well of course after all I’m a prince”, said Kei. “Is he a narcissist or what? I’m going to puke if keeps on doing praising himself”, Mizuki thought in mind.

“Wow it’s a pleasure for me that I got to be your partner,” Mizuki said in a sarcastic tone. “Jerk”

“What did you say”? Kei asked while being slightly angry.

“Nothing. You are imagining voices”.

The team which was supposed to battle first remained in the arena while the rest of us went to the waiting area to wait for our turns. Everyone was done with their battles pretty quickly I guess it was because of their great teamwork and soon our turn came.

Mizuki’s POV:

“It’s finally our turn. Hey Kei you can do whatever you want just don’t come in my way”. Kei replied: “You are the one who shouldn’t come in my way”. I ignored him and made huge hands with my mana, grabbed the machine with its foot, and spun it in the air.

 While I was spinning it I saw that Kei teleported in the mid-air and tried to kick it in the face to smash its control center but as I was spinning it recklessly it threw Kei across the field giving him some injuries. Due to the impact of Kei’s brutal kick, I also got pushed back and ended up being submerged in the wall. I got out of the wall and was covered in bruises.

“I told you not to get in my way”, Kei shouted from the distance.

“I too told you not to but you did”.

We were busy fighting with each other and blaming one another for the injuries we received. Meanwhile, the machine got up and started to attack us. We both barely escaped its attack.

I again tried to push it down to the ground but Kei again got in my way. 15 minutes went by and we both were struggling not with the machine but with one another. We kept coming between each other’s attack then finally Kei said:

“I can’t believe I’m saying this but we have to work together”.

“You think? I believe because if it was only me, I could’ve done it in a second but you have to hit it too”, Mizuki replied.

“Huh? Excuse me you are the one getting in my way and I could’ve defeated him in Nanosecond”, said Kei.

“Let’s not talk about it now. How about I drag him to the ground and once he is down you smash his control center”? said Mizuki

“That sounds like a plan to me. Let’s do it”, Kei said while agreeing with the plan.

Then we did according to the plan and finally got rid of this mechanical vampire. It was kind of difficult to defeat that thing. I and Kei got pretty injured but we can’t argue with it because if we worked together from the beginning we wouldn’t be injured.

“What was that? What were you both doing in the arena? I thought I made myself clear that you are supposed to work in a team”, said miss Harmony.

“We did work in a team though it was in the end”, said Kei.

Well, I’m going to deduct marks for your initial behavior and if you are continuously going to show this kind of behavior and get such bad grades, I will demote both of you. And Kei I don’t care whether you are a Prince or not”, Miss Harmony said in a threatening tone.

“Yes, miss Harmony”, both of them replied.

Finally, this difficult class was over and we both had to go to the nurse's office because we can’t heal ourselves due to cancellation devices. We spent our next class in the nurse’s office and were still blaming each other.

“It’s because of you that I got a warning from Mis Harmony”, said Kei.

“Oh, shut up for once. It was not my fault and just so you know she yelled at me too”’, Mizuki said getting annoyed by Kei’s behavior.

After being treated we went to the cafeteria because we basically didn’t go to the next class as we were too injured to go. Ronesme and Jones approached us with notes and told us that Mr. Tsubaki gave an assignment to us in which we have to observe a flying boar how it uses nearby energy to fly and attack its prey.

“Did everyone get the same assignment”? Mizuki asked.

“No, everyone got their own unique type of assignment based on their power usages and we have the time until next week” Jones replied.

Mr. Tsubaki also told that no student has to attend his class until next week because he has already assigned the work to us”, Ronesme added.

“Wow. But I guess these instructions match his tired personality”, said Kei.

After all that talk, I went to eat my delicious lunch with Ronesme.

“I was so tired after all of the fighting but this cafeteria food fills my mouth with water. It’s so delicious”, Mizuki said it getting all jolly and bubbly.

“You really like this cafeteria’s food don’t you”, Ronesme asked.

My mouth was filled with food but I still tried to reply to Ronesme. “Yup. I’ve…. Bev…er...pa...spe...fush…bel. i.. fus...foog”. Thought I was trying to say I’ve never tasted such delicious food before.

Looking at my mouth filled with food Ronesme laughed out heartedly. “I get it I get it you don’t have to say it. Eat your food first”.

After I swallowed my food I said, “forget about food how many marks did you get in first class”?

“I got marks above the average”, Ronesme replied.
