It was forty-five minutes after ten when his Mercedes AMG CLS 53 car pulled up in the parking lot of the company. He wasn't to be in the office until noon, but he had some documents to work on so he decided to come in earlier than scheduled. The huge door to the administrative complex opened automatically as he stood in front of it. He responded to greetings from his staff as he walked into his private elevator that led to his office.
“Good morning sir.” His assistant greeted him as he opened the door to his office. He responded with a nod to her as he walked toward his table.“I sent your schedule for today to your email.” She stated, flipping through the files in her hand. “You don't have any official meeting today, just have to prepare for an interview with JB media on Monday.” She added and he raised an eyebrow at her.“What interview?” he asked curiously, his eyebrows shooting to the top. He hadn't been informed of any.“An interview with my JB media, you are to appear on the front cover of their business magazine for the first half of the year.” She explained and his lips curved into an “oh”“Why am I just knowing about it now?” he asked and she stared at him in disbelief, her eyes almost bulging out.“The offer came in more than a month ago and you told me to accept it.” She explained, wincing at his almost lack of enthusiasm.“Okay. The interview is on. I'll just finish up with this document and get back home.” He stated, indirectly telling her to leave and she caught the clue, walking out of the door. His phone buzzed few seconds later, he picked it up and it was a message from his dad. He opened the message and saw a phone number with the name “Jenna.” He sighed. His dad was really serious about setting him up with this girl. He had barely dropped the phone when it started ringing. He stared at the number for few seconds before picking it up. It was from an unknown number but he already figured out who it was.“Hello” he said into the phone with one of his most professional voice, his face remaining stoic as he spoke.“Hello, Jack.” The voice called from the other end, soft and tender, but at that point, it sounded like noise to his ears.“Who is this?” He asked plainly without bothering to exchange pleasantries.“It's Jenna. Your dad gave me your number, he said you were expecting my call." She replied and giggled, causing him to roll his eyes.“For starters, I wasn't planning on calling you. Two, I have important things to do right now, so I'll hang up.” He stated, already getting irritated by her. He wasn't a fan of chit chats and small talks, especially not one from a lady he already despised.“No, wait.” She shrieked “My dad suggested a meeting between our companies over dinner today.” She started nervously and he smirked, though she could not see him.“When did you become part of the company, Miss Tyrone?” he asked sarcastically over the phone.“I'm representing my dad, so dinner by seven?" she rushed nervously, missing the sarcasm and he chuckled.“My official duties for today end at four PM. Any meeting outside that is for personal issues, and no, I'm not up for that.” He stated and her face dropped. The line went silent for a bit before she spoke up again.“Okay” she muttered nervously.“If it's an official meeting, you can come over to my office now or we can catch lunch by three.” He added and her face lit up in smiles.“Lunch by three then.” She replied enthusiastically and he dropped the call.“Yes!" she screamed after dropping the call with Jack. She was very nervous while talking to him. The strictness of his voice almost made her pass out, but she succeeded in setting up a date with him. She smiled to herself triumphantly as dropped her glass of champagne.***“I'm done with these files, send them as an email to Zack holdings and schedule a meeting with the CEO.” Jack gave orders to his secretary as he stepped out of his office. She nodded in response, trying to arrange the documents in a file folder. He had spent over two hours in the office working on the files. After dropping the call with Jenna, he had switched off his phone to focus on work. He hated distractions. After handing the files over to his secretary, he walked out of the office. He was dressed in black combat joggers, a grey hoodie, and white Nike Jordan sneakers. After hitting his personal gym, he had decided to go with something simple since he wasn't going to stay long in the office. He drove into his house, parked, and stepped inside. He walked to the kitchen to prepare himself something to eat since he hadn't eaten anything all through the day. He took out the ingredients to prepare pasta and placed them on the kitchen counter. He was a good cook but rarely cooked due to lack of time. The doorbell rang few minutes into his cooking and he ignored it. He wasn't expecting any visitors. The bell rang again and he hissed. “I'm coming.” He yelled, walking out of the kitchen to go check the door. He wiped his hands on a towel and unlocked the door.“Surprise!” the person yelled and he smiled widely.“Hey man! How you doing?” he greeted, giving him a bro hug. They hugged for some before pulling away.“I'm good, Man.” he replied, walking into the house and plumping down on one of the sofas.“When did you come into California?” he asked as he brought out a drink from the bar.“Arrived last night, checked in at your hotel, had a business meeting to attend, and now I'm here.” he narrated while Jack poured the drink into two glasses.“Did you miss me that much, huh harry?” Jack teased, smirking while he rolled his eyes.“You know I don't miss you, I'm only worried about your lonely ass” he retaliated while Jack rolled his eyes.“When was the last time someone else apart from me visited here. One year ago?" he mocked. Harry was Jack's best friend. They had been friends for more than five years. They both lived in California before Harry moved to Chicago after completing college.“Any new girl?” Jack asked, trying to push the conversation away from himself which he succeeded“I've got a girl.” Harry announced proudly and Jack's eyes widened in surprise. He surely didn't expect to hear that.“You're kidding right?” he asked in belief. Harry was one of the biggest playboys he had ever known. While he was dating his ex girlfriend, Harry was known as the biggest playboy in Los Angeles. He had tried to make him become one with no success until she finally broke his heart and he became the cold hearted billionaire he was today.“I kid you not, my bro.” he replied, the big grin still on his face. “I met this beautiful girl three months ago, she swept me off my feet and we are celebrating two months together next week.” He answered with a proud smile on his face.“Wow,” Jack exclaimed after regaining his voice.“Are you sure it's love?” he asked, going back into the kitchen while his friend stared at his retreating figure.Chapter 7 is updated. He walked into the restaurant where he was supposed to meet with Jenna. It was one of the most expensive ones in the city. He walked into the private area where she had already booked a table. His hands were tucked perfectly into his pants as he took brisk steps. He was dressed in slacks and a blue sweater. Something quite simple and informal.“Dinner with Miss Tyrone” he said to the lady at the counter and was led to the booked section where Jenna was already waiting for him. She was dressed in a red tight-fitting gown that stopped at her thighs and black long heels. Her hair was styled perfectly and her makeup was perfect. Her dress was tight around the chest area, making her boobs pop out through the deep v-neckline of her gown. After Harry had surprisingly shown up at Jack's place, they spent time discussing and catching up. He had shown him the photos of his girlfriend to convince him that they were truly dating and they both looked really happy in the pictures. They spent most o
He walked into the bar with the urge to get really drunk that night. Pushing his way through the crowd of already drunk and non-drunk people that were blocking the entrance, he made his way up to the VIP section of the club. Low sensual music was playing in the background as the dim multi colored light blinked repeatedly, distorting his vision. He took his seat in one of the large empty couches and ordered two bottles of drink as he sat and watched the strippers dance on the pole. On his right was a man who seemed to be in fifties with two scantily dressed whores seated by his side and rubbing their hands all over his body. He took his eyes away from them, his anger slowly building up.His drinks soon arrived and he started drinking. He opened the first bottle of tequila and gulped it down directly from the bottle as he stared angrily at the many people that filled the clubhouse. This day held a lot of memories for him,all of them were unpleasant. On this day a year ago was the day hi
“My house or yours?” he asked huskily and she pulled him towards her apartment. They were both standing in front of the building. She had arrived home but was too lazy to get out of the car. She unlocked the door and they both entered inside before she shut it. She pushed him gently to the door, kissing his earlobe gently before trailing kisses from his face down to his neck. He grabbed her by her waist and pulled her closer before switching positions, caging her to the door. He attacked her lips again with soft kisses, nibbling on her lower lips and she moaned loudly, giving him access inside her mouth. He trailed kisses to her smooth jaw, licking her skin with his tongue. She shuddered as his tongue made contact with her skin and he trailed his lips down to her neck. His hot breath fanned her neck, turning her on even more. She breathed erratically as her body heated up. She murmured incoherent words as his lips made contact with the skin of her neck, sucking it gently. He concentrat
The sun's rays penetrated the room through the slightly opened curtain, hitting her face as she slept on the bed. She turned uncomfortably in her sleep before waking up. She looked round the room trying to remember what had happened the previous night before it hit her, she had had sex with Jack Antonio, the city hot billionaire playboy. She was drunk, yeah, blame it on the alcohol. That was better. She turned to her side and met it empty. She was covered in her blanket and she could doubt if all that happened the previous night was a dream. It looked so real and she knew it was. She looked towards the door as if expecting him to walk in with breakfast in his hands. She scoffed at the thoughts as she got up from the bed and made her way inside her bathroom. She applied toothpaste on her brush and scrubbed her teeth before taking a quick shower, washing her entire body thoroughly. Her hands lingered on her body as she thought of the way he held and caressed her body the previous night.
Jack woke up around six am. He turned on the bed and looked at the pretty woman lying beside him. He moved the hair that laid on the side of her face backward as he stared at her. She had been his fantasy, for days or weeks he had wanted her and he couldn't believe he had finally gotten in bed with her. He got up from the bed and put on his clothes, picked up his phone, and stepped out of the room. He walked out of the house silently and got into his car. Once seated inside the car, his mind flashed back to the night he had spent with her. Her sexy moans that filled his ears, her soft skin that pressed against his own. She looked like a goddess under the beautiful blue light, like the only one that could match him. He shook his head gently, trying to clear his thoughts of her. He didn't love her and never would. She was just one of his conquests, he assured himself. He drove off and arrived home some minutes later. He walked into his room, his mind still clouded with thoughts. Thought
Today was Wednesday. He was seated in his office, behind his table, reviewing the partnership documents again. After they had rejected the initial agreement, he had gone back to review it and draft a new one. He had drafted a one-year partnership between the two companies to carry out a major project in which the profits were to be shared on a 65/35 basis. The partnership and equipment were funded by Jack's company, hence the higher profit margin and it was outrageous when they had demanded an equal share. He still had a meeting with Zack holdings CEO later in the day. His secretary had booked a meeting for twelve noon.He looked at his diamond watch on his wrist, it was barely thirty minutes past ten in the morning. The huge door length window of his office overlooked the beautiful busy street of the city. Traffic outside was at a minimum as people went about their activities. He relaxed in his chair, flexing his arm a bit to release the pressure of writing for a long time. The air co
“Thank you for honoring my invitation to another meeting.” Jack stated charismatically as Lucas Zack, the chief executive officer and lead director of Zack holdings walked into the meeting room that was an extension of his office with his secretary. Zack was a young twenty-five-year-old man, fresh out of business school. Upon graduation, he took over the management of his family's business. Zack holdings were one of the fastest-rising private firms in San Francisco. Even though they had been in business for over fifteen years, they still weren't as big as they should be, mainly due to poor management. “My pleasure,” Lucas replied, shaking Jack's hands firmly. They both sat on opposite sides of the table. Lucas sat with his male secretary by his side while Jack sat alone. His secretary was standing in front of the projector screen.“I found out that you rejected the partnership.” He stated after Lucas had made himself comfortable in his chair. There were cups of coffee in front of all
He sat at his usual VIP corner in the boisterous bar as he drank from his bottle of expensive scotch. He was seated alone, watching the different people that crowded the bar on a midweek dance to low and sensual music that blared from the speakers. After his meeting with Lucas had ended, he had stayed back at the office to sort out some things before going over to the bar. The bar was somewhere he visited frequently though he didn't really go to drink. He wasn't much of a drinker, he just went there to ease some pressure and boredom of staying at home alone. Karen walked into the bar with Ciara and they both went to the VIP section. Ciara had forced her to go today. She was a big PR staff in one of the major companies in the whole of California so she was financially capable of taking care of herself. Not filthy rich, but enough to spend some dollars carelessly. Ciara dragged her as they both walked to the VIP section and took an empty table. She was dressed in a short black gown tha

“There is a fifteen million dollar trust fund in your name. Your father instructed me to give you the details so you can access it.” Mrs. Lillian said, shocking Karen.“What? Are you for real?" She asked after an extended silence.“Yes, ma. Everything is real.” Lillian answered.“Why should I believe you?” She asked. She no longer knew what to believe“Can you give me your mail address so that I will forward the pieces of evidence your father sent to me.” the secretary said and she called out her mail address. “I will drop the call now. Please check your mail in thirty seconds,” she added politely. The secretary dropped the call and she rushed to open her email inbox. She had a new message and attachment from “Lillian brown.” she clicked on the video and her father's image came on“Hello, Karen. I'm sure my secretary has contacted you, and I'll be on a sheep cruise to the other part of the world by the time you watch this video. I'm sorry for all the wrongs I did. I'm sorry for leavin
The attorney stared in shock at what had just taken place in front of him. He stared speechless at a dying Damian as he clutched his neck, going breathless. He stared back at the side the bullet came from. He noticed a hole made in the glass. It was where the bullet had passed through. Whoever shot that had a lot of precision. He called for help and Damian was rushed to the hospital. Few minutes after getting to the hospital, he was declared dead. With no more evidence and the death of the only testifier they had, the investigations into the deep four were put on hold.**Few months later**After the death of Damian, calm returned to Jack. His company was now performing very well. It had been many months since Karen left, but he lived every day with the conviction that she was going to return one day. He hadn't heard from her since she left and he had also refused to date again. He parked his car in the parking lot of his company and stepped out. He noticed a strange car parked in the
“No”“Yes. I'll be waiting for you.” he pulled her into a hug before kissing her on the forehead. “Be a good boy, kiddo.” he turned to Jayden and roughened his hair.“Now, go.” he muttered and stepped back. Tears welled up in Karen's eye as he stared at him before turning and pulling her box inside the airport building.***Meanwhile, the news of Damian's arrest had spread all over the city. Jack had made the police keep the reason for his arrest a top tier secret, however, there were already speculations flying about. His company had since been shut down for investigation over corruption charges and interrogation intensified. Seeing the turn of events, most of his investors had pulled out, leaving the company to crumble.“Hope this interests you.” the attorney stated, pushing a document to him on the table they sat. Damian picked it up and stared at the content before looking at the attorney. “Your company has been shut down, your investors have left, and there are fresh charges of
The sound of the gunshot alerted the cops and they all rushed into the room with their guns out. Damian was disarmed and handcuffed while some men went to Jack's side. Harry untied Jack and he got up, feeling the soreness of his hands.Karen laid on the floor, weak and almost passing out. The bullet had caught her arm and it was now bleeding. If not for the timely push Jack had pushed her, maybe it would have hit her chest.Jack rushed to her side and tried to lift her up. The muscles in his body failed him, making him almost fall forward. Harry rushed to his aid, and together, they helped Karen to the car. Jack tore a piece of his clothing to tie Karen's wond while Harry drove to the hospital. They arrived at the hospital thirty minutes later. Karen had been alternating between consciousness and unconsciousness. Karen was rushed into the operation theatre while Jack was admitted into a room. After twenty minutes, the bullet was taken out of her arm, and she was left under anesthesia
The loud buzzing of Karen's phone woke her up from her sleep. She had slept late the previous night. She picked up her phone from the nightstand and checked the time. It was few minutes past six am. Who the fuck was disturbing her sleep by this time of the morning!“It better be something good.” she muttered before opening the message. The message was short from an unsaved contact. It contained an address and direction to the address with a simple text that read “Jack's location. ” She jumped out of the bed, her heart beat increasing. She quickly brushed, washed her face and changed into another cloth before placing a call to Harry “Good morning Harry. Please, get the cops on standby. I think I have information on Jack's whereabouts. I'll meet you in your house in ten minutes.” She spoke breathlessly without giving him a chance to respond. She dropped the call and kissed Jayden on the forehead before picking him.She rushed out to her car, put Jayden at the backseat and took the wheels
She crashed to the chair slowly and Harry rushed to her side. He got the phone from her and checked the content of the text. His expression darkened as he finished reading the text.“When did he send this?” he directed the question at Karen.“Two days ago. He left here angrily and I haven't heard from him since then.” She answered.“We need to inform the police. This may be bigger than us.” Harry spoke. They all drove to the police station. Harry met with the inspector and filed a missing complaint. He showed the police the text Jack had sent and Karen informed him of how he had stormed out angrily.“I need this search to remain secret. None of these must get to the press or anybody in the public.” Harry cautioned.“Be rest assured, Mr Blake. We will find Mr Antonio very soon, and none of this will get to the public.” The inspector replied. Harry nodded in understanding and shook hands with the inspector before walking out. The police soon began the search. They visited some of the h
“Hello, Jack Antonio.” Damian called out his name scornfully. He smoked from the pipe in his hand, puffing the air out through nose.Jack remained silent, fixing a deep glare at him. His phone was switched off inside his pocket. At that point, he only hoped she had gotten the text and was planning another line of action. A smirk spread on his lips at the thought of ridiculing Damian.“You are now a drug dealer, huh?” he smirked. “It makes a lot of sense now. You needed a lot of money to compete and keep up with me.” Jack added with a sly smile. Damian remained calm as he puffed smoke from his pipe.“I told you this is a battle, not a war and I'll always be victorious.” Damian got up from the chair and walked up to Jack. He dragged his smoke for some seconds, puffing the smoke on Jack's face. “And what did you say about Karen being your woman?”“Guess who has a one year old child with her?” Jack smirked in a bid to spite Damian.“Guess whose child is gonna grow up without a father.” Da
Karen sighed before speaking up. “Is there anything to talk about?”“Of course. There are a lot of things to talk about.” Jack replied. He walked closer to her untill he stood few feet away from her. “Lets talk about us. I know I fucked up massively and I am really sorry. All I'm asking for is that you forgive me and give me one more chance, let's build our future together.”Karen stared at him as he finished speaking. Her stare was long and piercing. She got up from the chair, walked to fridge in the dinning room and pulled out two bottles of water before returning. She handed one bottle to Jack and uncapped her's, drinking a little quantity.“You clearly broke up with me. You wronged me greatly, and I don't wanna go back to that past.” she replied, defiant.“You-” he paused, stopping his sentence at the beginning before running his fingers through his hair. He realized if he wanted to win her back, he had to be calm. “What about Jayden?” he finally asked.“I will take care of him. I
