The sun's rays penetrated the room through the slightly opened curtain, hitting her face as she slept on the bed. She turned uncomfortably in her sleep before waking up. She looked round the room trying to remember what had happened the previous night before it hit her, she had had sex with Jack Antonio, the city hot billionaire playboy. She was drunk, yeah, blame it on the alcohol. That was better. She turned to her side and met it empty. She was covered in her blanket and she could doubt if all that happened the previous night was a dream. It looked so real and she knew it was. She looked towards the door as if expecting him to walk in with breakfast in his hands. She scoffed at the thoughts as she got up from the bed and made her way inside her bathroom. She applied toothpaste on her brush and scrubbed her teeth before taking a quick shower, washing her entire body thoroughly. Her hands lingered on her body as she thought of the way he held and caressed her body the previous night.
Jack woke up around six am. He turned on the bed and looked at the pretty woman lying beside him. He moved the hair that laid on the side of her face backward as he stared at her. She had been his fantasy, for days or weeks he had wanted her and he couldn't believe he had finally gotten in bed with her. He got up from the bed and put on his clothes, picked up his phone, and stepped out of the room. He walked out of the house silently and got into his car. Once seated inside the car, his mind flashed back to the night he had spent with her. Her sexy moans that filled his ears, her soft skin that pressed against his own. She looked like a goddess under the beautiful blue light, like the only one that could match him. He shook his head gently, trying to clear his thoughts of her. He didn't love her and never would. She was just one of his conquests, he assured himself. He drove off and arrived home some minutes later. He walked into his room, his mind still clouded with thoughts. Thought
Today was Wednesday. He was seated in his office, behind his table, reviewing the partnership documents again. After they had rejected the initial agreement, he had gone back to review it and draft a new one. He had drafted a one-year partnership between the two companies to carry out a major project in which the profits were to be shared on a 65/35 basis. The partnership and equipment were funded by Jack's company, hence the higher profit margin and it was outrageous when they had demanded an equal share. He still had a meeting with Zack holdings CEO later in the day. His secretary had booked a meeting for twelve noon.He looked at his diamond watch on his wrist, it was barely thirty minutes past ten in the morning. The huge door length window of his office overlooked the beautiful busy street of the city. Traffic outside was at a minimum as people went about their activities. He relaxed in his chair, flexing his arm a bit to release the pressure of writing for a long time. The air co
“Thank you for honoring my invitation to another meeting.” Jack stated charismatically as Lucas Zack, the chief executive officer and lead director of Zack holdings walked into the meeting room that was an extension of his office with his secretary. Zack was a young twenty-five-year-old man, fresh out of business school. Upon graduation, he took over the management of his family's business. Zack holdings were one of the fastest-rising private firms in San Francisco. Even though they had been in business for over fifteen years, they still weren't as big as they should be, mainly due to poor management. “My pleasure,” Lucas replied, shaking Jack's hands firmly. They both sat on opposite sides of the table. Lucas sat with his male secretary by his side while Jack sat alone. His secretary was standing in front of the projector screen.“I found out that you rejected the partnership.” He stated after Lucas had made himself comfortable in his chair. There were cups of coffee in front of all
He sat at his usual VIP corner in the boisterous bar as he drank from his bottle of expensive scotch. He was seated alone, watching the different people that crowded the bar on a midweek dance to low and sensual music that blared from the speakers. After his meeting with Lucas had ended, he had stayed back at the office to sort out some things before going over to the bar. The bar was somewhere he visited frequently though he didn't really go to drink. He wasn't much of a drinker, he just went there to ease some pressure and boredom of staying at home alone. Karen walked into the bar with Ciara and they both went to the VIP section. Ciara had forced her to go today. She was a big PR staff in one of the major companies in the whole of California so she was financially capable of taking care of herself. Not filthy rich, but enough to spend some dollars carelessly. Ciara dragged her as they both walked to the VIP section and took an empty table. She was dressed in a short black gown tha
He took out his phone, dialed Jenna's number and put a call through to her. Ever since their little drama at the restaurant, he hasn't spoken to her and it bugged him deep in his conscience. He swirled on his chair, waiting for her to pick, and few seconds later, she picked up.“Good morning, this is Jack Antonio.” He introduced himself and Jenna sighed. She was yet to recover from the insults he had hurled at her at the restaurant the previous day.“What do you want, Mr. Billionaire?” She mocked angrily and Jack ran his hands through his hands. Though her voice was irksome, he had to ignore it.“Is the deal still on?” he asked for clarity and she scoffed angrily. Even though he said he was going to think about it, the deal ended the moment he slut shamed her.“There is no deal, Mr. Antonio” she answered with a professional tone and ended the call on him. His eyebrows knitted in surprise as he stared at the blank phone screen. He had thought about his actions and decided he had been to
Karen's phone beeped beside her and she dropped her laptop on the table to pick up the phone. She wasn't particularly focused on her work. Her mind drifted continually to her phone beside her, so it was more of a relief to her when it beeped. She unlocked it and it was a message from her I*******m account. She quickly opened it and was shocked to see a message from Jack. She screamed in delight and dropped her phone on the chair. It was already more than five days since she dropped the message and she had already given up on getting a reply. She picked up the phone again and clicked on the message. It was a simple “Hi”, but it was enough to send her over the edge. Enough to send butterflies flying in her stomach. She sent a response immediately introducing herself. She was nervous. Texting him was something she had just decided to give a try. She just hoped her nervousness wasn't visible in the way she texted. “Ya. I already know who you are. I'm not dumb not to go through your profil
He was dressed in a black designer shirt that tucked into a jean. He folded the arm of the shirt, exposing his arms that were designed with different tattoos. The first two buttons of his shirt were left undone, giving him the hot playboy look. He looked at himself in the mirror one last time. His black hair was gelled and curled backwards. On his neck was a simple, yet expensive gold necklace and he wore a diamond watch to compliment his dressing. He wasn't a sucker for jewelries, so he loved using few pieces on his dressing. He stepped out of the house into his Mercedes AMG CLS 53 and zoomed off. He arrived at the hotel, the venue for the dinner less than twenty minutes later. It was a multi-million five star rated hotel he had bought and transformed few years ago. He took the elevator to the restaurant section of the hotel and was greeted politely by the security. He had recognized Jack as the CEO. He went to the VIP section and took a seat close to the huge glass window. He had se

“There is a fifteen million dollar trust fund in your name. Your father instructed me to give you the details so you can access it.” Mrs. Lillian said, shocking Karen.“What? Are you for real?" She asked after an extended silence.“Yes, ma. Everything is real.” Lillian answered.“Why should I believe you?” She asked. She no longer knew what to believe“Can you give me your mail address so that I will forward the pieces of evidence your father sent to me.” the secretary said and she called out her mail address. “I will drop the call now. Please check your mail in thirty seconds,” she added politely. The secretary dropped the call and she rushed to open her email inbox. She had a new message and attachment from “Lillian brown.” she clicked on the video and her father's image came on“Hello, Karen. I'm sure my secretary has contacted you, and I'll be on a sheep cruise to the other part of the world by the time you watch this video. I'm sorry for all the wrongs I did. I'm sorry for leavin
The attorney stared in shock at what had just taken place in front of him. He stared speechless at a dying Damian as he clutched his neck, going breathless. He stared back at the side the bullet came from. He noticed a hole made in the glass. It was where the bullet had passed through. Whoever shot that had a lot of precision. He called for help and Damian was rushed to the hospital. Few minutes after getting to the hospital, he was declared dead. With no more evidence and the death of the only testifier they had, the investigations into the deep four were put on hold.**Few months later**After the death of Damian, calm returned to Jack. His company was now performing very well. It had been many months since Karen left, but he lived every day with the conviction that she was going to return one day. He hadn't heard from her since she left and he had also refused to date again. He parked his car in the parking lot of his company and stepped out. He noticed a strange car parked in the
“No”“Yes. I'll be waiting for you.” he pulled her into a hug before kissing her on the forehead. “Be a good boy, kiddo.” he turned to Jayden and roughened his hair.“Now, go.” he muttered and stepped back. Tears welled up in Karen's eye as he stared at him before turning and pulling her box inside the airport building.***Meanwhile, the news of Damian's arrest had spread all over the city. Jack had made the police keep the reason for his arrest a top tier secret, however, there were already speculations flying about. His company had since been shut down for investigation over corruption charges and interrogation intensified. Seeing the turn of events, most of his investors had pulled out, leaving the company to crumble.“Hope this interests you.” the attorney stated, pushing a document to him on the table they sat. Damian picked it up and stared at the content before looking at the attorney. “Your company has been shut down, your investors have left, and there are fresh charges of
The sound of the gunshot alerted the cops and they all rushed into the room with their guns out. Damian was disarmed and handcuffed while some men went to Jack's side. Harry untied Jack and he got up, feeling the soreness of his hands.Karen laid on the floor, weak and almost passing out. The bullet had caught her arm and it was now bleeding. If not for the timely push Jack had pushed her, maybe it would have hit her chest.Jack rushed to her side and tried to lift her up. The muscles in his body failed him, making him almost fall forward. Harry rushed to his aid, and together, they helped Karen to the car. Jack tore a piece of his clothing to tie Karen's wond while Harry drove to the hospital. They arrived at the hospital thirty minutes later. Karen had been alternating between consciousness and unconsciousness. Karen was rushed into the operation theatre while Jack was admitted into a room. After twenty minutes, the bullet was taken out of her arm, and she was left under anesthesia
The loud buzzing of Karen's phone woke her up from her sleep. She had slept late the previous night. She picked up her phone from the nightstand and checked the time. It was few minutes past six am. Who the fuck was disturbing her sleep by this time of the morning!“It better be something good.” she muttered before opening the message. The message was short from an unsaved contact. It contained an address and direction to the address with a simple text that read “Jack's location. ” She jumped out of the bed, her heart beat increasing. She quickly brushed, washed her face and changed into another cloth before placing a call to Harry “Good morning Harry. Please, get the cops on standby. I think I have information on Jack's whereabouts. I'll meet you in your house in ten minutes.” She spoke breathlessly without giving him a chance to respond. She dropped the call and kissed Jayden on the forehead before picking him.She rushed out to her car, put Jayden at the backseat and took the wheels
She crashed to the chair slowly and Harry rushed to her side. He got the phone from her and checked the content of the text. His expression darkened as he finished reading the text.“When did he send this?” he directed the question at Karen.“Two days ago. He left here angrily and I haven't heard from him since then.” She answered.“We need to inform the police. This may be bigger than us.” Harry spoke. They all drove to the police station. Harry met with the inspector and filed a missing complaint. He showed the police the text Jack had sent and Karen informed him of how he had stormed out angrily.“I need this search to remain secret. None of these must get to the press or anybody in the public.” Harry cautioned.“Be rest assured, Mr Blake. We will find Mr Antonio very soon, and none of this will get to the public.” The inspector replied. Harry nodded in understanding and shook hands with the inspector before walking out. The police soon began the search. They visited some of the h
“Hello, Jack Antonio.” Damian called out his name scornfully. He smoked from the pipe in his hand, puffing the air out through nose.Jack remained silent, fixing a deep glare at him. His phone was switched off inside his pocket. At that point, he only hoped she had gotten the text and was planning another line of action. A smirk spread on his lips at the thought of ridiculing Damian.“You are now a drug dealer, huh?” he smirked. “It makes a lot of sense now. You needed a lot of money to compete and keep up with me.” Jack added with a sly smile. Damian remained calm as he puffed smoke from his pipe.“I told you this is a battle, not a war and I'll always be victorious.” Damian got up from the chair and walked up to Jack. He dragged his smoke for some seconds, puffing the smoke on Jack's face. “And what did you say about Karen being your woman?”“Guess who has a one year old child with her?” Jack smirked in a bid to spite Damian.“Guess whose child is gonna grow up without a father.” Da
Karen sighed before speaking up. “Is there anything to talk about?”“Of course. There are a lot of things to talk about.” Jack replied. He walked closer to her untill he stood few feet away from her. “Lets talk about us. I know I fucked up massively and I am really sorry. All I'm asking for is that you forgive me and give me one more chance, let's build our future together.”Karen stared at him as he finished speaking. Her stare was long and piercing. She got up from the chair, walked to fridge in the dinning room and pulled out two bottles of water before returning. She handed one bottle to Jack and uncapped her's, drinking a little quantity.“You clearly broke up with me. You wronged me greatly, and I don't wanna go back to that past.” she replied, defiant.“You-” he paused, stopping his sentence at the beginning before running his fingers through his hair. He realized if he wanted to win her back, he had to be calm. “What about Jayden?” he finally asked.“I will take care of him. I
