CHAPTER FORTY EIGHT - PICTURES 

WILLIAMS’ POV

My eyes were basically moving from one point of the office to another, searching for something to fix my gaze on. As I looked around my mind instantly drifted from the drug lord scandal and the package I received the other day without checking what it was and who sent it.

My eyes gently traveled to the drawer I kept and it was sitting there, just the way I left it. I could see the tightly sealed envelope had something like a picture inside of it.

A cold sweat prickled down my skin as I tore open the envelope. Inside, a single photograph stared back at me, a stark contrast to the professional facade I'd been desperately trying to maintain. It was a picture of Monica and Jason, a betrayal so raw and visceral it threatened to consume me.
