CHAPTER FIFTY-FIVE: THE TRUTH

WILLIAMS’ POV

The room was filled with silence. The kind that could make on go deaf. I could feel my mum’s gaze creeping up on me. It seemed as though she could not believe what I had just told her.

“Jason and Monica?” A mix of disbelief and sorrow crowned her voice as she asked. “I was with those two for months, yes they are close but that is a stretch” she commented as she sat beside me, trying to add the pieces of the puzzle together.

My face and heart still steered up on the course of not believing that they are not together. They had shattered the illusion of our perfect family, and there was no going back.

“Monica is not having an affair with Jason,” my mother stated, her voice steady, it was as though she followed them around and knew what they were capable of.
