Chapter 2

Lovely POV

It's been a month since that thing happened to me, but even so it still often comes to my mind and even more so and my friend often reminds me of it.

Hari also comes to our house and even to the office to explain but I don't want to face nor talk to him, I don't want to have any more problems because he chose to betray me. My friend Zey also tried to talk to me but Kaye just slapped her.

I am content with what I have in my life. I will move on with my life without toxic people in my life.

While I was looking at my laptop because I was checking something and suddenly my friend entered my office. "Don't focus too much on that, it's lunch time so let's eat." Kaye smiled.

I nodded as I fixed my laptop and then stood up, but I suddenly felt dizzy, I grabbed the table to get support because I felt like my vision was blurry and before I could call Kaye it was too late because I suddenly fell down .

"Lovely!" I even heard Kaye scream before I completely lost consciousness.

Kaye POV

I cried when I saw my friend passed out, a few days ago I also noticed that she was pale at first I thought it was because she was just soaking in work so sometimes he eats late so I often invite her.

I quickly came to her and patted her a few times but she didn't open his eyes so I just shouted for help, luckily there were employees here who were eating at their table so they helped me take her to the hospital .

Fortunately, there was no traffic so we arrived quickly and the doctor took care of my friend quickly. I'm so nervous right now because I don't know what's really going on with her. Later the door opened and the doctor came out.

"Are you the patient's family?" he asked.

"She's my friend doc. How is she?" I asked.

"She needs enough rest and she needs nutritious foods like fruits and vegetables. She needs to eat healthy food and avoid stress so her baby won't be affected." he explained.

I frowned at what I heard. "Doc. what are you talking about baby? Can you repeat what have you said?" I asked him.

"What you heard is true. The patient is one month pregnant." he said clearly.

My eyes widened. "Is that true, doc? My friend is pregnant? No joke?"

"Yes, your friend is really pregnant." he confirmed.

We were in that position when Lovely's mom suddenly came and approached the doctor.

"Doc. what happened to my daughter? Is she sick?" aunt asked.

The doctor immediately shook his head. "Your daughter is not sick madam, the truth is that she passed out due to fatigue and that is what she should avoid because she is pregnant."

I saw aunt holding her mouth in shock, almost unable to believe what she heard. I immediately came to him to support her. "Lovely pregnant?"

"Yes aunty, you're going to be a grandmother and I'm going to be an aunt." I promise.

"Is it true doc.?" aunt wants to confirm it again.

"Yes ma'am," answered the doctor.

The doctor talked to us about my friend's needs during her pregnancy and then bid us farewell, while Aunt and I entered the room where Lovely was.

When I was inside, I sat on the chair while Tita went straight to Lovely's bed where she was sleeping. 

When I saw the tears in aunt's eyes, I knew that she was also happy because she was going to have grandchildren. I know she knows what's going on.

I stood up and came to aunt to comfort her. "Is that tears of joy, aunt?" I asked smiling.

"I'm happy for my daughter, I didn't even notice that she was pregnant and I wasn't even told." There was a hint of sullenness in her voice.

"Maybe she doesn't even know she's pregnant aunty and if she does have a reason why she didn't tell."

We were in the middle of a conversation when the door suddenly opened and it spat out our other friend Luigi.

"Hi aunt, hi Kaye" he greeted. "I heard about what happened to Lovely, how is she?"

I immediately told him what happened and why he was hospitalized which surprised him greatly.

"If Lovely is pregnant who is the father? We know she doesn't have a boyfriend." Luigi asked after I told him the whole story.

"She doesn't know who the father is." I answer.

I saw the look of confusion in Luigi's eyes, he still doesn't know what really happened to Lovely because he's not here and he's abroad and it looks like he just came home.

It was aunt who explained to him everything that happened to Lovely and why she got pregnant without a father.

"It's a good thing that Lovely found out that Hari was just cheating on her," Lui said angrily, because he was also a witness to the duration of Lovely and Hari's relationship so he didn't think that it would break up just because of Zey.

"Lovely is a one night stand, doesn't he really know her?" he asked again.

My aunt and I shrugged our shoulders at the same time, because even we didn't know the truth if this really happened and whether or not she knew the father of the person she was carrying.
