91. Suggestions

NEXT MORNING

When Eleanor woke up, he had left for the Hospital already. She had heard his faint voice in sleep an hour ago where he sounded frantic. Eleanor wanted to be awake and check upon him but she just couldn’t. Last night she couldn’t sleep well. Not after all that conversation she and Kayden had at the table when he dined.

Plus, the flashes of her running into his arms played like 100 times in her head until she finally dozed off hardly two hours away from the morning sunshine. But now she had to wake up and check if the lead gave any clue of the person behind Christopher’s abduction. She typed him a message instead of making a call. Who knows how busy he would be at this hour. She didn’t want to take a chance to disturb him.

‘Any luck with the lead?’

She typed the message, hit send and waited for another few minutes on bed for his reply. When he didn’t, she brushed and showered and when she returned back, his reply was awaiting in her notifications.

‘He died this morning’
