Chapter 3

Sienna felt tears threaten to fall as she lay in his bed. The bedding smelt faintly of his cologne, and the memories of last night came back to her. She couldn’t believe she had lost her virginity to a random stranger. A rude, aggressive stranger, which made it worse. He probably slept with women all the time, and Sienna meant nothing to him. The sheets had been ripped during their passionate moment, even though he wasn’t even that rough. She felt disgusted with herself and screamed into a pillow, then forced herself up and got dressed.

Since her shirt’s buttons had been ripped off, she collected them to sew back on once she got home. She then tied her long sleeve shirt into a crop top and noticed the billionaire had left his room key for her to drop off at the front desk of the hotel. He had cleared all his items out of the hotel except for a cufflink that she found under the bed when collecting her buttons. It had a werewolf engraved on it and looked like it was worth some money. After fetching her bag and grey dress from the other room, Sienna took the cufflink with her and went to drop off her key card.

“Hello, I have the key card for room 15,” Sienna told the receptionist, who raised her eyebrow.

“Mr Declan Foster?” The lady asked and scanned Sienna’s appearance.

“Yes,” Sienna nodded and scratched the inner skin of her arm. Everyone probably knew what she had done.

“Right. He left this for you.” She added and handed Sienna an envelope full of cash. Sienna’s heart dropped; she had forgotten entirely about the money. She thanked the receptionist, who seemed to judge her silently and shoved the envelope into her bag.

“Chae-Soo! Can I talk…” Mr Manager called as he walked out of his office. Sienna shook her head and hurried out of the hotel before he could continue his sentence. Tears ran down her face, and she tried to control her emotions. She wiped her tears away and walked across the street. Sienna felt like everyone looked her way and did what the American movies she watched called the walk of shame. Luckily she had today off.

Sienna walked to the train station as immense guilt overtook her mind. She had sold her body for money and felt… dirty. As she waited in line to pay for the train ticket, Sienna pulled out the envelope and noticed Declan had written on the front. In messy cursive handwriting, he had written: Keep the change. Sienna felt her blood start boiling and dug her nails into her arm to help herself calm down.

The conductor gave Sienna a strange look when she gave him a 5000 won note to pay for the ticket. He handed her the change, and she found a spot on the train to sit. Why was she stupid enough to take the billionaire’s deal?

“Mom! Dad! Hanuel! I’m home!” Sienna shouted in Korean and placed the shopping bags full of groceries on the small table they had in the kitchen/ lounge/ dining room. The house only had 3 rooms, this one, a bathroom and a bedroom they all shared.

“Everyone is asleep in the room,” Her mom replied and made her way into the chair near the table. “Why didn’t you come home last night?” She asked and sat down to catch her breath. Her mom suffered from emphysema due to the air pollution and harmful chemical fumes she had inhaled over the years from working at a factory.

“I had a late shift, so my manager offered me to room to sleep in. I got a massive tip, though.” Sienna covered her lie with a smile and handed her mom the envelope of money. Declan had given her double just like he promised. “It’s about 2.5 million won. We can get Hanel his treatment and let the doctors help you and Dad.”

Her mom’s hand flew to cover her mouth as she started crying. “Thank you, my daughter.” Her mom cried and slowly got up to give Sienna a hug. “I’m so proud of you for working hard and supporting this family.”

“It’s a pleasure, mom. I have to take care of the ones I love.” Sienna stated, and tears fell down her face. She couldn’t disappoint her mom by telling her she got the money by sleeping with a billionaire.

“I bought us some chicken pieces and vegetables. I thought we could make your famous chicken soup. The one Dad and Hanuel love.” Sienna added, and her mom happily agreed. She started a fire and helped her mom prepare the meal before going to wake up her Dad and brother.

“Sienna, my beautiful daughter.” Her Dad smiled and seemed happy to see her. He was old, and his health declined over the years. She gave him a hug and felt his fragile frame through the thin blankets. “How was work, dear daughter?” He asked.

“It was good, thanks, Dad. How’s Hanuel?”

“He started vomiting last night and couldn’t breathe. I don’t know how we can help him.” Her Dad replied, and worry filled his voice. Sienna told her Dad the good news, and he cried in front of her for the first time. She felt emotional about the whole situation and constantly said to herself that she had done the right thing for her family.

“Hanuel, wake up.” Sienna sweetly called and touched his forehead. It felt warm, and he was covered in sweat.

“Sienna? Your home.” He smiled and tried to sit up, which made him start coughing. A few drops of blood were spat onto her white shirt, but Sienna didn’t care. After he stopped coughing, she helped him sip some water and wiped a wet cloth across his forehead.

“Mom made her yummy chicken soup.” She smiled and tried to lift his spirits. “If you try to eat something, then I’ll give you a chocolate.”

“Chocolate?” Her 10-year-old brother asked as excitement lit up his eyes. Sienna nodded and took the blankets off him to help him walk to the lounge. It was the first time in weeks that he agreed to leave the room, and both her parents were so happy to see him up and about.

They enjoyed the lovely meal together and chatted about what they would do with the money. Sienna rested her head against her father’s shoulder and smiled as a rough laugh came from him. Even her brother was smiling as he slowly nibbled on the chocolate. He had offered everyone a piece, but they all declined and insisted he eats it alone. Sienna wiped down her body and changed into her pyjamas later that night. She scratched through her things for a chain that lost its pendant and put the cufflink of the billionaire onto the chain. The cufflink was of plain silver in the shape of a triangle, and it hung against her chest when she put the necklace on.

Sienna decided that she would keep the cufflink as a reminder of how she saved her family. Of a reminder that there were people in this world that took advantage of women like herself. A reminder that the cruel billionaire would never be in her life again. She hated him, but mostly she hated herself.

The cufflink was also a promise that she wouldn’t let men like Declan Foster near her again.

***

Sienna returned to work the next day with her head held high. Everyone could think what they wanted; she knew she had slept with Declan for a good reason. Today her family had all gone to the private hospital and received the necessary treatment. Hanuel was booked in, and the hospital agreed to take good care of him. They even kept her parents for the night since they needed to be monitored so Sienna would have the house to herself tonight. Something she’d never thought would happen until she buried her family in the ground.

“Chae-Soo? Please, talk to me.” Mr Manager stated as he walked up to her.

“Just let me be, please, sir. I torture myself enough.” She stated and looked at the ground, ashamed. Keeping her head high was quickly forgotten.

“I… Did he hurt you?” Mr Manager asked. Sienna shook her head, and her hand flew to touch the cufflink on her necklace. Lately, that had been how she controlled her emotions, which was better than scratching and digging her nails into her skin.

“Right, all I wanted to say is that he left a 5-star review on the hotel. You can use the room to wash up if you want… but you smell nice.” He smiled and walked away.

Sienna felt herself breathe again as her boss walked away. He didn’t judge her, and no one else seemed to know what she did. It remained her secret, and she preferred that she could act like it never happened. That night was the last she ever saw and today the last she heard of the billionaire’s name. Declan Foster was just a figure in her memory.

Her shift started, and Sienna felt her confidence grow back. She felt happy again and went home with a pocket full of tips. The house felt empty without her family, but she seemed to enjoy just being alone for a bit. After having a meal of rice and gravy, she lay in bed but just couldn’t seem to fall asleep. Sienna played with the cufflink while her other hand made its way down her stomach.

All the memories with Declan replayed in her head as she started rubbing her clit with the moisture in between her legs. As much as she wished she could forget him, he was constantly on her mind. After giving herself an orgasm, Sienna finally fell asleep and kept her hand holding onto the cufflink.

The billionaire was not going to leave her thoughts anytime soon.

***

A few weeks later

“Oh, Sienna!” Her friend, Kim-Hae, called as Sienna walked home. Since high school, she and Kim had been friends and always helped each other out where they could. Kim-Hae was a beautiful woman with a bob haircut and big round glasses.

“Kim?” Sienna smiled and wrapped her arms around her friend. “How have you been?”

“Girl, I tell you, the men in this place are trash. I’ve been through about 5 since I last saw you.” Kim replied and rolled her eyes.

“That’s awful!”

“Mmmhmm. Anyways, girl, I’m glad I caught you. Here are your tampons; you probably running out since it’s that time of the month. I’m so forgetful sometimes….” Kim mumbled on, but Sienna stopped listening. She had her mind so full of thoughts of that billionaire that she completely forgot she was supposed to be on her period.

“What’s the date today?” Sienna asked as she started panicking.

“The 27th, urgh, reminds me of that time this guy ditched me for our date,” Kim replied with a laugh. Her period should be almost over by now, but nothing had come yet.

“I’m late.”

“Girl, it happens. You haven’t been with anyone; you don’t need to worry. It’s probably just stress….” Kim stated and looked at her friend, who was full-on panicking. “Sienna, what haven’t you told me?”

“Please, no. Kim, please, you have to help me.” She stated and told her friend everything that had happened. Kim-Hae was shocked but also impressed that Sienna slept with a billionaire. She tried to calm her friend down, and they walked to the supermarket to buy a pregnancy test. Well, they bought about 3 just in case, then went over to Kim’s house since she lived alone.

After 5 minutes, Kim fetched the pregnancy tests from the bathroom and walked back to her room.

“Girl, you’re pregnant.” She mumbled and sat next to Sienna, speechless. Sienna grabbed the tests and burst into tears.

“No, they must be wrong.”

“All three of them say positive; I doubt they’re wrong.”

“How can this be happening? What am I going to do?” Sienna cried and held onto the cufflink. The first time she had sex… a one night stand… and of course, the universe had to make it be with a cold billionaire. Sienna couldn’t believe what was happening; she was pregnant with billionaire Declan Fosters baby.

She would have to stop working for a few months, which meant no income... and the billionaire's money wouldn't last forever. Sienna didn't want to bring the baby up in a life where she or he would struggle. Plus, she wasn't mentally prepared to be a mother and keeping the baby meant that she would raise it alone. She would have no help from the billionaire... heck, he wouldn't even know he was a father. All she knew was his name, and by now, he was probably back in South Africa. There was no way Sienna could get in touch with him, nor did she want to. "Okay... uhm, we marry you as soon as possible, so at least then you'll have a husband," Kim suggested.

2 days earlier Declan Foster walked into his newly established firm late that afternoon after a day of travelling. He was exhausted and irritable. He checked his personal phone for any messages from the private investigator he hired back in Samjiyon, North Korea. He, too, was a werewolf which made Declan sense that he could trust the investigator. Nothing yet, which was a good sign. He walked into his office and poured himself a glass of whiskey, which he quickly downed. His business phone started ringing, and he was straight back at work dealing with investors and companies from around the world. FosterA was a company aimed at providing reliable internet and communications to all people around the world. He focused on connecting poor areas to the rest of the world. The company had subdivisions such as education, legal services, and anything related to information technology infrastructure (IT). Declan was part of

“Mr Foster, here are all the documents of the waitress that you require.” The private investigator stated and handed him an envelope. They had travelled to the hotel where Sienna worked, and the billionaire waited in the restaurant for her arrival. The private investigator proved to be a valuable source of information and arranged for Miss Chae-Soo to leave the country with all legal documents. “Thank you, Aaron.” Declan nodded and read over the documents Sienna filled in for the abortion clinic. He was surprised to discover the waitress was only 23, 16 years younger than him. Declan was already 39, but most people assume he was in his late twenties because of how well he looked after himself. Her birthday was on 13 January 1995, which meant she was born on Friday the 13th. Declan didn’t believe in supernatural events such as that, but he hoped the waitress wouldn’t bring bad luck in his life. He had gone through enough misery

Sienna shoved the billionaire off her and quickly ducked into the bathroom. She closed the door and locked it before Declan could react, which forced him to return to his seat. Sienna felt her heart racing as she stared at her reflection in the mirror. She wet her face with water and tried to understand why she kissed the enemy. “Get a hold of yourself.” She said aloud to herself and returned to her seat after using the toilet. Declan watched the waitress walk back down the aisle and sit down. He couldn’t understand why every part of him wanted to hate her when in reality, he found himself growing attached to her. He decided it was best that moments like the kiss they shared did not happen and fell back into silence. The private investigator tried to talk to either of them, but they weren’t interested. Eventually, the flat table mountain of his city and vast blue ocean came into view as they flew into Cape Town. Aa

Declan scanned his eyes over the waitress and found himself annoyed. He had work to do, and she complained because she was bored. He rolled his eyes and grabbed a file off his shelf, then handed it to her. “These are complaints that I received for the company. Kian printed them all out for me to go through, but honestly, I don’t care nor have the time. Read over them and see if there’s anything important or worth my time.” He said and returned to his desk to continue working on his employee’s salary. “Okay,” Sienna replied and placed her stuff on one of the chairs in front of his desk and sat on the other. Declan glanced at her and shook his head. He expected her to leave, but she could sit here if she was quiet. He went back to work, and Sienna started reading over the complaints. Many were about things he couldn’t control like staff complaints, slow internet during bad weather, being put on hold and issues not be

The three of them ate in silence and listened to music. It was awkward for Aaron to be in their presence when they were together, but both seemed friendly when alone with him. He finished up the delicious food and then excused himself. “Hello, this is Mr Wohoon. I am Mr Foster’s private investigator. I would…” He started to say into his phone as he walked off to his apartment. “So Declan finally found someone he could trust.” The man on the other side of the call chuckled. “Yes, Mr Hoffman. I was told you have a file for me. Will you email it to me, or must I collect it?” Aaron asked. “Please call me Ryan. You and I will be in contact often, I’m sure. We’ll meet then.” Ryan replied, then hung up the call. “I guess that means to collect it,” Aaron said to himself and shrugg

Declan walked into his house, and his personal phone started ringing. He groaned and ignored it while he poured himself some whiskey. He sat on the couch, and the phone rang again straight after it ended. “What!” He yelled into the phone without checking the caller ID. “Do you kiss your mother with that mouth?” A cocky voice replied. “Ryan, what do you want?” Declan asked and rolled his eyes. “I’m hosting a masquerade ball tomorrow evening. I noticed you have not responded to my invite yet. So I decided to phone and tell you to check your email.” He replied. “Why would I attend such a thing?” “Oh, so I can meet your new fiancé, of course. They chatted while in the kitchen, and she convinced him to nibble on the chips while they waited. Caleb had never met anyone else like Aideen before; she was bubbly and free with a lot of energy and had so much love to give him. They went to the lounge with the tea, toasted sandwiches and bowl of snacks. Aideen scanned through her movies and asked Caleb if he watched them as she went along. He didn’t have time to watch movies, so he didn’t know most of them. “Choose your favourite and put it on,” Caleb remarked, and Aideen decided to put on Suicide Squad. She was a big DC fan, while Caleb didn’t know which superheroes were DC or Marvel. Caleb hadn’t just sat back and watched a movie in a while; it was extremely relaxing and a good change. Plus, he could cuddle Aideen, and she was super happy, which was a big win. Caleb really enjoyed the movie while munching on chips and sweets. “Do you want to have a family?” Aid

Caleb woke up the next morning to an empty bed. He imagined that Aideen left in the early hours of the morning snuck out while he was asleep. His heart shattered, and he lay in bed disappointed. Last night was amazing. She was exactly the type of woman that Caleb wished he had, one like her that wouldn’t run away. Finally, after Caleb finished sulking, he forced himself out of bed and went to take a shower. The warm water ran over his skin and washed away the smell of Aideen. It was better to not think of her. Caleb knew that being with her was too good to be true. Why did he ever think she would want to be with him? Caleb would always leave when a call came in for a new case, his phone would constantly be ringing, time spent with Aideen would have to be scheduled, and after a hard case, he would come home irritable and seem like a jerk. Caleb would choose to work on a case rather than spend a romantic evening with her because he knows he has responsibilities. The consequences were

“Let’s go,” Caleb stated, his voice deep with arousal. Aideen felt herself being pulled towards apartment 37 and kissed Caleb’s shoulder as he opened the door. “Nice apartment.” She smiled and placed her purse on the kitchen counter as she quickly scanned her surroundings. “Sit.” Caleb beamed and picked her up to sit on the counter; he then undid the buckles of her heels and let them slip off her feet. “You have such tiny feet.” He laughed and held her one foot in his hand. Aideen had a sexy dark purple nail polish on, which matched her dress. “I’m a size 5.” She laughed and wrapped her legs around Caleb, who picked her up and carried her to his bedroom. Caleb carefully placed Aideen onto her feet and unzipped her dress which he then pulled off. Caleb was mesmerised by the gorgeous woman in matching black lace underwear. Her breasts were full of life and firmly held in

Aideen imagined how he would be in her bed and loved how close they were. She couldn’t stop thinking about this sexy Detective since they first met. She then turned around and moved her hips to grind against Caleb and felt how aroused she made him. “Come with me,” Caleb whispered in her ear and held her hand while he walked away. Aideen was led out of the bar and slowly pushed against a wall. The cool air contrasted with how he made her feel and could hear his heavy breathing. “You can’t do that,” Caleb stated and looked into Aideen’s eyes. “Why?” She innocently asked and bit her lower lip. Caleb closed his eyes and traced the side of her face. Aideen wanted him to kiss her; she wanted him to take her up against the wall and let him feel how wet she was. “You make me want you,” Caleb whispered before he placed his lips against hers. Aideen kissed him back and deepened the kiss. Everything aro

He tried to follow her through the crowd, but she slipped away, so he gave up and sadly returned to his friends. “Caleb, there you are! She had black hair and dark brown eyes. “My date,” Samuel added. “Nice to meet you, Joyce.” Caleb greeted and sat down. “So I’ve been told you are a detective. For a second, everything froze as she gazed into his eyes, and he felt this immense connection shoot through him. Caleb quickly looked away from her and focused his attention on the case. He tried to distance himself by being professional and asked, “Where were you on Monday night?” Aideen almost seemed disappointed that the detective broke the moment they were experiencing.
