I was preparing to sleep in the police cell unit that I was kept in after I finished eating the meal that Franklin had brought. His reaction surprised me because I hadn't expected him to be so possessive. I still wanted to divorce him, so I tried not to think too deeply about his public reaction.

I believe Franklin was trying to protect his public image. As the CEO of HW Global, it’s important for him to back me up, knowing that once the matter gets to court, he would be dragged into the mess that he and Amelia had started.

A policeman came to my cell unit and ordered me to come out.

"You have been granted bail. You can go home," he said, taking me by surprise.

"Excuse me, officer. Who granted me bail? I was informed that I would be going to jail this morning," I told him and saw the man's brows furrow.

"Do you prefer to sleep in this cell, Madam? I just informed you that you're free to go, and you're asking me questions," he scolded me.

I smiled as I walked out
