I wanted to stop the security man from calling Frank, so I quickly said, "No, don't call him. Are you insinuating that I'm lying to you about my husband? Open the gate, I'm going out now."

I grabbed my box and left the mansion grounds, not waiting for the security man to contact Frank. I knew that Frank wouldn't allow me to leave his house.

As I walked onto the estate street, the cold weather made me shiver. I wrapped the shirt I was wearing properly around me and wondered which hotel I could lodge in for tonight until I managed to rent an affordable apartment.
