As I walked downstairs into the living room, Frank was trying to calm Amelia down as he stood beside her and spoke to her. "Calm down, Amy. We can discuss this amicably. It hasn't gotten to the point of involving the police. Didn't you think about my reputation and yours, as no one knows Natalie?"

"No way, Frank! Don't tell me to calm down. Your wife attacked me, and she has to be punished. Your ex-wife, I mean," Amelia said, and my eyes narrowed at her words as I finally descended the stairs and looked at the officers in black uniforms standing in my living room.
