A FEW DAYS LATER It's now just a few days to Leah's wedding and Leah left for Las Vegas where they would be conducting the wedding with her husband. Since Cruz was now doing much better, the doctor finally found him fit to be on the road for a longer time and this meant that he can now move from Nevin to his house in Beverly Hills and once he is back in Beverly Hills, Jessica can finally leave his house for good and fly to Las Vegas. Jessica didn't have much to pack and Cruz and Cade didn't have to take anything except their electronic gadgets so Dave's McLauren was spacious enough to contain them all as he drove them home. Jessica sat with Dave in the front seat after having fought with Cruz for it. Jessica's point was that Cruz was still recovering from an accident and it would be better for him to rest in the back seat but Cruz being the dominating type wanted to sit in the front seat because he is a 'Man'. In the end, Jessica won while he ended up in the backseat with Cade.
Her hooded gray eyes were filled with worry even though a broad grin was plastered on her face and her simple but elegant pink trumpet gown hung on her sleek body perfectly. "Who is that beautiful woman?" Jessica asked in a low voice. "Mom!" Cruz mouthed while Cade exclaimed as he ran over to his mom and hugged her. Cruz on the hand couldn't bring himself to run to her as he dropped his head to hide his teary eyes and clenched teeth. At first, Jessica couldn't understand why Cruz was looking so down and was so angry at Dave it was his mom but after remembering what Cade had told her, she realized he was feeling guilty. "Seriously? You're not even going to welcome me?" Mrs. Westham asked as she looked up at Cruz while still hugging Cade. Cruz smacked his lips as he raised his head and feigned a smile before walking to her. "Welcome, Mom but you shouldn't have been here in the first place, or at least not without my consent." Cruz complained after welcoming his mom. "Like you're
"Ma'am, I don't mean to sound disrespectful but I'm sorry, I can't miss this wedding for anything in the world." Jessica finally spoke up. "And who said you have to miss it?" Mrs. Westham asked in awe. "Mom, you just said you won't allow her." Cade reminded her. "I didn't mean she won't go, I'm just saying I won't let her go through such difficulty just to travel." Mrs. Westham explained. "How else would she…" "By air. Why does she need to go through the stress of going on a bus when we have a private Airbus? Or what do you think? All she will need is her ID card since it's a local flight." Mrs. Westham suggested. "Wow! Mom, that is a perfect idea. I was so sad about the long trip but it never crossed my mind." Cade exclaimed, grinning from ear to ear. "Though I find you too chatty all this while, I must say the outcome is great. I mean, this lady has done a lot for our sons and it would only be nice if we help her out." Mr. Westham chimed in. "Sir, I didn't do anything hoping
"Well, he asked me for a favor earlier just before we went for dinner." Mrs. Westham replied. "You know he rarely asks me for anything ever since that incident. So I wanted to make sure I fulfill his wish and I'm glad I did." She added. "You mean he asked you to make Jessica travel in our jet?" Mr. Westham asked. "Yes. He didn't admit it but I think he was scared she might say no to him if he had asked him." She explained. "Our Cruz was scared to ask her? It's unbelievable. I think you got something wrong." He disagreed. "It's hard to believe but I know for sure that I'm not wrong. I don't know why but it seems he didn't want her to go through that stress." She replied. "Wow! If you say so. She seems like a nice girl but her manners…I can't say anything about it considering those pictures of her on WeCom. I'm sure she is just one of those loose…""I'm sorry to interrupt you, Dad, but I can't let you finish that sentence." Cade, who had come to spend some time with his parents, i
Mrs. Westham's eyes widened with excitement as she realized what Cruz meant. "Cruz, are you serious? You want to see a psychiatrist?" She asked in excitement but Cruz remained mute and indifferent.Mrs. Westham quickly composed herself and tried to withhold her excitement while talking to Cruz. "It is better late than never, son. I don't know what made you ask this question but if you want to have a better future than this, you need to move on from the past and you should know that the doctors are always there to help you. Take your time and make your decisions wisely and remember we are always here for you if you need to talk." Mrs. Westham addressed Cruz who relaxed his head on his mom’s shoulder.“Mom, I missed you!” Cruz confessed. “I was so happy when I saw you yesterday but I just wanted to hide my true feelings from…” “I know you better than anyone else, Cruz. So you just be yourself around me. None of what happened that day was your fault. It was just a result of my poor he
"Who are you?" The man finally asked as his suspicions grew. Jessica's heart began to rise as she realized this man was Cruz and he was definitely going to find out who she was. She tried to hide her face but as we all know, Cruz is the inquisitive type and wouldn't stop until he satisfied his curious mind. "By chance, are you…"Cruz's voice trailed off as Jessica laughed out hysterically. "Wait…you are so funny, dude!" Jessica laughed, trying to alter her voice a little. "You think I'm funny? You're the funny one here. What's up with your voice?" Cruz asked even more suspiciously. "I'm only having a cough!" Jessica lied and coughed pretentiously, still in an altered voice. "But you! You got beaten up just trying to crash into someone else's party!" She added, trying to provoke Cruz by picking on his ego and diverting the topic. "What? Beaten up? Someone else's party? Do you have any idea who I am? The Host of this event is my man! I just didn't want to ruin my reputation by e
While Jessica thought of the excuse to come up with, the men came to a term and walked back to her. "At this age, who goes to clubs with an ID? I mean, no one would see me and not know I'm past 18." Jessica tried to defend herself."So you ain't here with your ID?" Jason asked once again to be sure."Yes." She finally answered straightforwardly. "Then take off your cap. I need to be sure of your face." Jason declared and Jessica's heart began hampering in her chest. 'Fuck you, Jason!' Jessica swore in between her teeth as she thought of another lie to tell but nothing was coming into her head. "Guys, what's taking you all so long?" Micheal asked as he walked out of the club to the parking lot where they were standing. Jason walked toward him and explained to Micheal what was going on and Jessica thought it was the best time to manipulate Cruz into taking her in. "Too bad, your friends might end up sending me away. I thought you had a say on this but it seems like the host is the
"SHE is yours? Come on Cruz, I know you don't do men…except you're telling me she's…a woman which is absolutely…" "Absurd!" Jessica interrupted Luke before pulling Cruz to a secluded corner. She pinned Cruz to the wall and looked back and forth to be sure they were now alone before complaining. "What are you saying? Why would you say that in front of people like that? What if they start thinking I'm a lady?" Jessica asked worriedly, trying her best to continue with her altered voice. "Are you not?" Cruz asked and Jessica's heart stopped beating briefly. "W-what…are you saying?" She stuttered as her grip on Cruz weakened. Cruz took the opportunity and flipped her over, pinning her to the wall this time. He leaned in and gently removed her cap and wore it backward before slowly releasing her long ponytail and then, tracing her jawline with his finger. "What were you thinking? That I won't recognize you? I know I'm an egoist but do you seriously think I was so easy to mani
