CHAPTER SIXTY-SIX"He lost his consciousness after a ruckus and now he is regaining it with a ruckus." Tyler commented before Jessica pushed the door open.It was just as she had expected. Cruz woke up and just couldn't accept the fact that his brother was lying next to him unconsciously. "Cruz, calm down." Jessica soothed as she tried to hold onto Cruz's hand but he pushed her away. "What's happening here? Why is Cade in this room and why is he unconscious?" Cruz asked angrily at the top of his voice as he finally turned away from Cade's bed to face them. "Cruz, Cade had…" "Please, Jason. Let me handle this. No one will tell him anything if he doesn't calm down and stop barking." Jessica intentionally provoked Cruz because she knew he wouldn't react badly as he needed to know his brother's condition. As expected, Cruz didn't get angry, or rather, his worry surpassed his anger. "Ok! I'm calm now." He sighed. "So tell me what happened to Cade." He requested as politely as he could
Jessica walked towards him, all the while not taking her eyes off him and when she was very close enough, she leaned in, her lips caressing his ear."Revenge! I never thought about it but now that you brought it up, I want to try it." She whispered in his ear leaving the others in suspense. Cruz's eyes widened in surprise but he quickly lowered his gaze and giggled softly, such that only Jessica heard it. "And what on Earth do you think you can possibly do to me?" He asked sarcastically. "Well, I've thought about that long and hard and then it occurred to me that a Narcissist like you detest it when someone does what you can't do so I decided that from now on I will do everything you will never be able to do." She replied in whispers once again. A frown crept on his face as he listened to Jessica words but he is not the type that shows defeat. "After the self-introduction I made earlier, do you still think there is something you can do that I can't?" He asked as he placed his unin
Cruz was pissed off by her question but even though he needed to hear the idea she had, he didn't want to seem interested so he gestured Dave to reply. "An idea? I'd be glad to hear what it is." Dave grinned from ear to ear."But Cruz doesn't seem interested. Maybe I should just…" Jessica attempted to leave but Cruz stopped him. "Just say it already!" He requested. Jessica turned around and walked closer to them and when she was just two feets away from Cruz she stretched out her hand and collected the file Cruz was holding. "The first thing you're to do is stay far away from these files!" She yelled, making Cruz flinch at the unexpected yell. She turned around, walked towards Dave and threw the files at him. "What were you thinking about bringing these files to him? Breaking News; Cruz Westham's head injury reopened for the 6th time in your absence! It was so worse this time around that Cade had to sacrifice his life just to see his brother doing better but here the big brother
"The ambassador refused to be moved to a different hospital. He thinks he's been played here and he is beginning to cause a ruckus. Ms. Rivera has been trying to convince him but he won't believe her because she had suggested that he be operated on by someone else before." Dave explained. "Tsk…that's not a problem at all!" Jessica exclaimed but Cruz and Dave looked at her with creased brows and wide eyes. "It isn't? Then tell me what to do about it." Cruz requested. "Well, 192 IQ, all you just have to do is call his personal line and explain to him. It's so easy and you don't even know it?" Jessica mocked. Cruz didn't like it when Jessica called him 192 IQ but he couldn't vent out his anger because of Cade's presence. Because Cruz was using a new sim card here, he didn't have the ambassador's number on his, and instead of changing his SIM cards, he decided to just copy the number from his laptop into his news sim, and then he began to call the ambassador but after several rin
A FEW DAYS LATER It's now just a few days to Leah's wedding and Leah left for Las Vegas where they would be conducting the wedding with her husband. Since Cruz was now doing much better, the doctor finally found him fit to be on the road for a longer time and this meant that he can now move from Nevin to his house in Beverly Hills and once he is back in Beverly Hills, Jessica can finally leave his house for good and fly to Las Vegas. Jessica didn't have much to pack and Cruz and Cade didn't have to take anything except their electronic gadgets so Dave's McLauren was spacious enough to contain them all as he drove them home. Jessica sat with Dave in the front seat after having fought with Cruz for it. Jessica's point was that Cruz was still recovering from an accident and it would be better for him to rest in the back seat but Cruz being the dominating type wanted to sit in the front seat because he is a 'Man'. In the end, Jessica won while he ended up in the backseat with Cade.
Her hooded gray eyes were filled with worry even though a broad grin was plastered on her face and her simple but elegant pink trumpet gown hung on her sleek body perfectly. "Who is that beautiful woman?" Jessica asked in a low voice. "Mom!" Cruz mouthed while Cade exclaimed as he ran over to his mom and hugged her. Cruz on the hand couldn't bring himself to run to her as he dropped his head to hide his teary eyes and clenched teeth. At first, Jessica couldn't understand why Cruz was looking so down and was so angry at Dave it was his mom but after remembering what Cade had told her, she realized he was feeling guilty. "Seriously? You're not even going to welcome me?" Mrs. Westham asked as she looked up at Cruz while still hugging Cade. Cruz smacked his lips as he raised his head and feigned a smile before walking to her. "Welcome, Mom but you shouldn't have been here in the first place, or at least not without my consent." Cruz complained after welcoming his mom. "Like you're
"Ma'am, I don't mean to sound disrespectful but I'm sorry, I can't miss this wedding for anything in the world." Jessica finally spoke up. "And who said you have to miss it?" Mrs. Westham asked in awe. "Mom, you just said you won't allow her." Cade reminded her. "I didn't mean she won't go, I'm just saying I won't let her go through such difficulty just to travel." Mrs. Westham explained. "How else would she…" "By air. Why does she need to go through the stress of going on a bus when we have a private Airbus? Or what do you think? All she will need is her ID card since it's a local flight." Mrs. Westham suggested. "Wow! Mom, that is a perfect idea. I was so sad about the long trip but it never crossed my mind." Cade exclaimed, grinning from ear to ear. "Though I find you too chatty all this while, I must say the outcome is great. I mean, this lady has done a lot for our sons and it would only be nice if we help her out." Mr. Westham chimed in. "Sir, I didn't do anything hoping
"Well, he asked me for a favor earlier just before we went for dinner." Mrs. Westham replied. "You know he rarely asks me for anything ever since that incident. So I wanted to make sure I fulfill his wish and I'm glad I did." She added. "You mean he asked you to make Jessica travel in our jet?" Mr. Westham asked. "Yes. He didn't admit it but I think he was scared she might say no to him if he had asked him." She explained. "Our Cruz was scared to ask her? It's unbelievable. I think you got something wrong." He disagreed. "It's hard to believe but I know for sure that I'm not wrong. I don't know why but it seems he didn't want her to go through that stress." She replied. "Wow! If you say so. She seems like a nice girl but her manners…I can't say anything about it considering those pictures of her on WeCom. I'm sure she is just one of those loose…""I'm sorry to interrupt you, Dad, but I can't let you finish that sentence." Cade, who had come to spend some time with his parents, i
