Now our story begins !

"And what's your reason for coming late?" Ethan asked as Tatiana stepped out from the elevator. She wasn't expecting it , so she jumped back in fear as her heart beat accelerated.

She slowly stepped away from the elevator and the doors went closed.

"I -i - ... " She stuttered, not being able to form any words.

"I know people like you, " he said as he stepped close to her.

"Just one conversation we had this morning , then you decided to come to work late right " he said

"The boss's baby mama, right ?!!" He asked tauntingly with a smirk at the corner of his lips.

"I'm sorry boss , it was unavoidable " she said.

"The next time this unavoidable stuff happens, you'll have to start hunting for another job!" He replied immediately

"If you take my job away from me how am I supposed to take care of the baby? " she said, looking up at him.

"Are you asking me that ?!" He gritted out angrily.

"That's your shit , left for you to figure out " he said and walked away .

She just slowly looked at him as he walked away and her eyes became glossy , as tears threatened to fall.

She could see her life going up in ruins gradually in front of her and she had no idea what to do, she couldn't even help her situation right now.

"Tiana , what are you doing there ?!!" She heard her supervisor ask pulling her out of her deep thoughts.

"A meeting with an investor is coming up soon ,won't you go and prepare for it " he said and she clutched her bag tighter and made to walk away.

"Don't tell me you're just coming in, " he said.

"I'm sorry sir , " she whispered as she rushed off immediately.

"So you're pregnant?" Tatiana's dad asked and she nodded tearfully.

"I'm sorry Dad " she said in tears

"When and how did this happen? " he asked again.

"Two weeks ago , at the office dinner I went for, " she replied.

"And who is responsible ?!" He asked.

"My Boss, " she replied tearfully.

"And when were you planning to tell us ?!" He asked calmly.

"I'm sorry Dad, I wanted to tell you, I had no idea how you would take it "

"I thought you'd kill me if I told you , I was so scared, " she replied.

"And why would I do that , of course you should have told us immediately it happened " he said.

"I'm sorry " she repeated as she shook in tears.

"Did your mother know about this ?!" He asked, turning to her Mom.

"I have no idea , I'm as shocked as you are, " she replied calmly.

"And disappointed too, " she added.

"I could bet my life on it that you wouldn't embarrass us like this " her mother ranted.

"That's enough, " he dad said immediately.

"Go to .."

"Miss Tatiana " 

"Tatiana " she heard loudly this time as she flinched in her seat and her mind came back to the present.

"Shit !!" She whispered as she shut her eyes tightly.

She couldn't believe she zoned out again for the hundredth time in this meeting.

All day she couldn't stop wondering what her father's reaction would be once he found out .

This is the third drama of her dad's reaction; she had played out in her head , and there are still more to come.

Her eyes slowly looked up at Ethan and the glare he gave her made her shudder and look away immediately.

"I'm sorry for the seemingly incompetence of my staff ," Ethan said as he turned to face the investor.

"That's alright " he replied.

"I've heard all of your plans and I'd like to invest in this particular one, " he said, pointing at an estate.

"This seems like a nice location and a sensible investment, " he added.

"I'm glad you can see that also " Emma replied with a warm smile and he nodded with a smile in return.

"I'll have payment wired to you immediately " the investor said.

"Sure ," Ethan replied.

"Once we get the payment, I'll have my representative send you the documents to sign online " he said

"Alright that's settled then ," the investor said as he stood up from his seat and stretched out his hand to Ethan in a hand shake and then Emma.

"See you soon" Emma said and he just smiled as he walked out.

Immediately he got to where Tiana was standing , she gave a small bow while whispering I'm sorry , before he walked out.

"Why did you come here ?! Who asked you to be here!!" Ethan yelled at Tatiana immediately he investor had walked out and slammed the door.

"O- o-o-your sup-ervisor, it's my turn this week to assist in meetings " she stuttered with her hands behind her and her eyes on her feet.

"You call what you did today Assisting ?!" He asked in a scoff.

"Tell your supervisor I never want to see your face around me again!!" He said angrily.

"That's alright " Emma interfered .

"What's your name again?! , " She asked 

"Tatiana"

"That's okay Tatiana , you may leave" she said softly and Tiana nodded clumsily before rushing out.

"Ethan!!" She called, turning to him as soon as Tatiana slammed the door shut.

"Can you try to be a little bit kind with your words " 

"These people have feelings too!" She said,

"Life did not consider I had feelings also before fucking me up !!" He replied.

"Because life was difficult for you , doesn't mean you should make life difficult for other people" she replied.

"I'll do what I think is right!" He replied.

"What are you doing here anyways , you should be resting at home " he said and she just exhaled as she picked up the file she came in with , flipped her hair and headed for the door.

"I'm fine, " she said to him for the umpteenth time.

Later that Evening...

8:00pm ...

The loud roaring of thunder echoed throughout the Campbell's living room as they all sat in silence.

Tatiana was standing in front of her parents as she stared at her feet in tears.

This was real now and not one of her imaginations , they just came back from the hospital.

And the reaction her dad is giving now , she hadn't imagined it.

"Get your things together and leave my house " he said calmly and she looked up at him immediately.

"Dad .. " she tried to say.

"Eii, shushhhh" he hushed immediately and she could feel the anger rising in his voice.

"Not a word from you!" He added 

"Pack your bags and leave my house , having no child is better than having one who would disgrace me "

"Daddy please , I have nowhere to go !!" She pleaded as she flung herself to the floor at his feet , but the heavy sound of rain just kept swallowing all of her yells and tears.

He angrily stood up pushing her aside as he walked into her room and began to pull her things outside.

"Honey , calm down please " her Mom whispered walking up to him.

"If you want to leave , you're free to go with her, " he replied instead.

"Dad please, I have nowhere to go , it's raining heavily " she said as she stood up from the floor and ran up to him again, immediately she got to him he raised his hands and slammed it on her face.

"Get out of my sight before I'll do something we'll all regret!" He said.

"So now you're longer an adult and can't take care of yourself right?!!" He yelled as she held onto her cheeks wailing.

"Get yourself out of here "

"You're such a disappointment!!" He said as he pushed her and her things outside.

"Daddy please " she kept on begging repeatedly but he didn't even listen as he pushed her outside and bolted the door twice.

Her mom just sat there in tears not being able to say anything, her mind couldn't take what her husband was doing to their daughter right now.

"If you open that door and step outside , today will be the end of our marriage!" He said to her Mom before storming upstairs.

"Dad !" Tatiana kept on yelling in tears as she pounded heavily on the door , pleading that he let her in.

But all fell on deaf ears , she slowly held on to the neck of her already drenched cloth tightly as she slowly dropped to the floor in tears.

It's official, her life is over !.
