332. Should've remembered he's my boy

Gradually, Jemma opened her eyes to the comfortable confines of a hospital room. Her senses were filled with confusion and disorientation as she attempted to make sense of her surroundings.

Jemma's eyes widened in disbelief as her vision corrected. The dim storeroom she had last remembered seeing Noah wasn't this one. Rather, she was lying in a hospital bed, the sterile surroundings emphasised by the faint light coming in through the curtains. A nurse hurried around, her steps deliberate yet soft.

Something tugged at Jemma's arm, slightly, and her shock grew. She looked down and saw a nurse taking out an IV line very carefully. She realised she was in Dixon Hospital, and panic set in.

"Ah! You're conscious, Mrs. Johnson. How do you feel now? The nurse asked.

Jemma's head was filled with questions, and she stammered, "How did I get here? "Where is Jimmy?"

Grinning sympathetically, the nurse said, "Mr. Johsnon had surgery and is in the intensive care unit right now."
