I gracefully walked out of the Fletchers' dining room, refusing to show my weakness and breakdown in front of them. I could not give Lisa the satisfaction. She had set a trap for me and without knowing, I had fallen into it. I never knew she was so cunning and I believed Reign didn't know as well.

I'd been humiliated a lot of times but I did not feel as much pain as I felt in my heart. However, I could not stop thinking about Reign and the distressed look I had seen in his eyes.

Was it because his family seemed to have turned against him or because I was humiliated? I hoped it was the latter. In the end, he was also a victim because Lisa had as well made him into a bad guy in the eyes of his family.

What was I supposed to do now? They all probably thought I was a shameless two-timing woman who wanted their son for his money. I didn't know why I was unlucky most of the time but I didn't want to spend another second in that place.

your story is good. why not make cora a femsle lead this time she a lawyer so she should more stronger to fight for her man.
