Chapter 27 Going Back

Paige's POV

Watching your child grow is one the best moments in my life. I witnessed his every first. His first word. His first walk. His first giggle. His first smile. His first laugh. Baby Asher filled the empty hole in my heart. He filled my life with love and happiness. He painted my life with so many colors. Asher is my salvation. He saved me when I was drowning.

"Mommy, I got a star!"

I smiled and kissed Asher's cheek after he showed me the star on the back of hand. My 5 year old son is smiling sweetly at me. He's wearing a black buttoned polo and slacks. His hair was disheveled again just like the other day, so I ran my fingers through his hair, fixing it.
