Chapter 30 Another Coincidence

Paige's POV

"You can just use my car instead, Paige. You don't need to buy another one."

I nodded at Ares. "That was my plan, actually."

"I'll just take a cab to go to work."

My forehead creased as I stared at him. "Work? You're not working anymore, Ares. You're gonna focus on your treatment."

"I agree with Paige." It was Alex, who's going down the stairs. He's combing his hair while walking down the stairs.

"Am I handsome, buddy?" Alex asked Asher, who gave him a thumbs up while giggling.

I just ignored them and looked at Ares again. His forehead is now creased while looking at me.

"You're not working anymore, Ares. You stay in the house and focus on yourself. Let us do your responsibilities this time."

"Paige—"

I pointed a finger at him. "I let you do things on your own five years ago. Now, you listen to me and do as I say."
