23: Rule

"I did not know you are this possessive, Kiel."

He grinned. "I don't know. I want to see you happy and of course, it is because of me. It is annoying to see that you are so fine without me around."

"Hmm, jealousy?"

"No, I am not. I am not just used to it. Most women like me and just by seeing me, they will give their all. But you? Nah, totally different."

My mouth formed an "o" as I nodded my head twice. "You want my attention, then. You are thrilled because I have no interest in you."

"You do not have?"

"Well, before. Now I want to get to know you."

He smirked, amused. "I also do."

"So, what now?"

"Maybe we will start it with a date?"

"To make things work? Well, hmm. We should get started about knowing each other."

"Like?"

"Like asking your favorite color, favorite food, and more."

He chuckled and shook his head. "You are funny."

"I am serious. What is your favorite color?"

"Red, dark red. What about yours?"

I smiled. "Yellow."

"Oh, nice. More on like the sun?"

"Yep. Sunlight because it lightens me especially when I get trapped in the dark."

"Oh, deep."

We continued to have a small talk not until I invited him outside because I thought last night of taking a picture outside with a great light view. He did not refuse, though. We went out together, now silent.

"Will you take pictures too?" I asked him while preparing my phone.

"Nah. I do not take pictures of me."

"How boring of you."

"I know, I know."

We looked for a very great angle before I positioned myself while Kiel have my phone. I posed then he started to click to shoot a photo. We just did that and looked for another place. It even took us almost a minute.

"Thank you," I told him and checked on the pictures he took and I can say that he did well. "Hmm, come on, I will take yours."

"I don't do pictures."

"At least this time."

He shook his head. "No."

"Please?" I showed him my puppy eye, making him sigh and even tsked.

"Alright."

I jumped like a little kid when he did not refuse already. I told him to stand near the bench with a bunch of flowers before I shot I picture. I then lower my knees when I find my very first angle lame. And there, I found the perfect shot. "Perfect, Kiel."

"And we're done."

"Nope, nope. Not yet."

He creased his brows. "I am done."

"You just have one picture here. This is not even enough."

He let out a sigh, trying to control his patience. I dragged him to another area and made him stand and pose there so I can get many pictures of him. I will not post this, though. Why would I anyway?

"Let's take a picture together."

I looked at him with shock when he said that all of a sudden. "What did you eat?"

"You."

My cheeks heated. "Shut up."

"But really, let's have a picture together."

I nodded my head. We asked a stranger to take pictures of us and good thing he is a photographer as he said. After he took some, we thanked him, and then he left after.

I checked our picture together before my lips formed a smile. We look good. "Would not you take a look?" I tilted my head to Kiel, he was already staring at me.

"Can I?"

I handed him the phone. I stared at him as he checked on it. From poker face, the side of his lips rose before he handed it back to me. "So, what can you say?"

"Good."

"That's just it?"

He shrugged his shoulders before he started to walk. "I love it," he said, leaving me hanging.

When I saw him already far away from me, I ran after him for us to walk together. "We will already go back to the hotel?"

"What do you want to do?"

"Hmm, I would like to take a sip of coffee."

"Then go for it."

I almost stomped my feet. "Won't you go with me?"

He looked at me so we both stopped walking. "You need me?"

"I want you," I said, making his lips purse. "I want you to go with me to the cafe. I want a companion," I added.

"Alright. Let's go."

And that's it, we went to the nearest cafe and ordered. We sat at the available table and waited for our order to be served. "Are you bored?" I asked Kiel because he was just silent looking outside. "Kiel?"

"Hmm, I am not."

"You look like you are."

"How do you say?"

"You know, you are with your usual poker face and you are just looking outside. I feel like you do not want to talk to me and have a conversation with me. And I feel like you never want to be with me here. Well, I just forced you, though."

He knotted his brows. "Alright. I will talk to you every time."

I tsked and looked down. "Now I feel like forcing you again. I just want a companion anyway. No need for entertainment."

He let out a sigh and leaned against his sit. "I don't want you to feel that way, Talia. Talk to me when you want because I will not hesitate to talk with you."

"Nah, you don't have -"

"I want to," he cut me off. "I want to talk to you, that's it."

I was not able to answer him because our order had already come. The staff put our coffee on the table. I smiled at the staff before she walked away with a bow. I then faced Kiel again and smiled faintly. "Let's have a coffee?"

He nodded his head. We started to sip on our cups silently. We then both looked away and just stared outside. Many people were passing by through our area and the view is just satisfying. The sound of their shoe stepping against the cement floor is so good in the ear.

"So," Kiel started, breaking the silence amidst us. "What are your plans?"

I looked at him with confusion. "Plans at?"

"About us."

My lips pursed in horror. "Us? What is between us, Kiel?"

"Come on," he hissed and put his cup down. "We had sex, and we're fine together. What are your plans? To stay just my secretary or more on that?"

"What do you mean about that more? You want me to be your boss and not just a secretary?"

He chuckled because of my sarcasm. "You can, though."

"How?"

He shrugged his shoulders and looked away. "Be mine and you can rule me."
