59: Consequences

"I will visit you later," said Talia as she had a call with Kiel.

After everything happened, they back on track in their life. Back to work and Liah is focus on her studies. Talia was just staying in their unit especially that she is already months pregnant. She has to be careful and cautious to everything she does. They just hired one bodyguard outside and a maid in the unit so if she would encounter emergency, someone is there to help her.

"Babe, you know that you should not go out when -"

"Yes, I know but I wanted to see you. Please? Let me. This is just once," she cut him off because he is refusing. It was just that Kiel doesn't want Talia in harm. She should not go out alone and travel without him beside her.

Kiel sighed on the other hand. "Alright, then. I will fetch you."

"Fetch?" she chuckled in humor. "Trust me, Kiel. I am not a kid anymore, okay? I can take care of myself, do not worry."

Kiel did not have a choice anymore but to let her be. That is what she wants and he trusts her. He does not want to get her freedom away just because for her safety. It will all work in a right and great way.

Talia get down. The bodyguard insisted to go with her to keep her safe but Talia wants to go alone. As she went in the parking lot, she get Kiel's car. Yes, he left the car in case of emergency. He has another car, though. Talia drove away and as soon as she get in the company, she can not help but to smile in amazement.

She just get in the company again just now and she misses it.

"Oh, my god, Talia!" It was Dani who was so shocked to see her in the company. She ran towards her and hugged her tightly. "I miss you so much!"

"Hey, Dani," Talia greeted too and caressed her back. "I miss you too. How are you doing? Fine?"

"Yes, I am. How about you? Gosh! I have heard the rumors! You and Sir Kiel? Is it true?" Dani looked at her with her eyes widened in disbelief and anticipating for answers. Talia then bit her lower lip and nodded her head.

"Yeah, we're together," Talia answered. What for if she will lie?

Dani chanted in so much happiness. Since they are blocking the way, Dani gently dragged her beside so they could talk. "So, how was it? How are you guys? Are you cool? I see that you are a great couple!"

Talia smiled from ear to ear and caress her stomach. It is not clear yet that she is pregnant since it was just a month. "Actually, I am pregnant," Talia said in a whisper manner so others can not hear it.

Dani's mouth then formed an "o" in amazement before she jumped and yelled. Talia then covered her mouth so she could not spill it out. Dani get it that Talia do not want to announce it so she keep herself calm and normal.

"Oh my," Dani gasped. "I can't believe you guys! So, how long already?"

Talia hissed. "Month."

She nodded her head multiple times. Dani can't help but to be happy for Talia and Kiel. She did not expect it, really. She already noticed the strange thing between Talia and Kiel but still, she was surprised to know about it coming from Talia's.

"Aww, congratulations, my friend," Dani beamed. They continued to have a chit-chat heading to the elevator so they can get up to Kiel's office. By the way, Talia bought food outside for Kiel's lunch so he could eat.

Talia can't help but to laugh at Dani because her reaction in every story she tells is priceless. It is nice that they saw each other again. After months without seeing, everything seems like different.

"Hmm, I guess someone is inside," Dani said while squinting her eyes to the door of Kiel's office.

"What do you mean?" Talia asked in curiosity. What does she mean by the way?

"Someone is inside other than Sir Ramirez, Talia. Look at the curtain, there is a woman inside."

Talia shrugged her shoulders off because of what Dani said. "A client or a guest? What's with that?"

Dani looked at her with her brows creased, making Talia to feel confusion. So what if there is a woman inside talking to him? That may be just a client, business partner or whatsoever. "Talia," Dani uttered and sighed. "Someone has been visiting him these days. A woman."

"You know who?" she asked, now doubting. She trust Kiel but there is just times that everything happens unexpectedly.

"The secretary you fired," Dani responded, making Talia to stop with her pursed lips. She does not know what the right feeling to feel. So, the former secretary has been visiting him in his office? She is curious about why Kiel did not tell at her about those.

"Hmm," she hummed and nodded her head twice. "I should see them, then. It will be my pleasure to see her again."

Dani looked worried but still, she agrees with Talia. Talia did not knock on the door anymore. She opened it without a signal and went inside. That is when she caught them. The woman was sitting on Kiel's lap while Kiel was looking away, trying to push her.

"What a view," Talia said, making them to look at her and that is when they were surprised. Kiel moved his chair and pushed the woman, the former secretary. Instead of getting nervous, the woman stood up proudly and looked at Talia with her raised eyebrow.

"What are you doing here?" The woman asked like nothing happened. Kiel on the other hand stood up to get near Talia but Talia stopped her from doing so. "I am now his secretary."

Talia looked at her. "I don't care."

The woman looked amused about what Talia responded. "You don't care? Like you should. You do not have any position here anymore. You are not a secretary and you are already nothing. How dare you to get inside without knocking, huh? Who do you think are you?"

Talia showed her a smile. A smile that seemed like everything is fine but deep inside, she was already hurting. Like her heart turned into pieces.

"I have nothing to do in the company," Talia stated. "I went here to see him."

"Hmm, why? What are you to him? Well, he agreed to my deal. To have sex with me or be his secretary, because if he wouldn't choose? I will reveal everything to everyone our past."

Talia gulped. It was like a lump was blocking her throat. Kiel then shakes his head, trying to tell Talia that what the woman saying is not true. Nothing happened to them. They have no past other than the thought of her being a secretary.

"Well," Talia heaved a deep sigh. "You should make sure what you are saying are true, Miss."

"I am stating the fact, dumb -"

"How dare you to call my wife dumb?" Kiel interfered and stood up. That is when the woman stopped in surprise. "Who do you think are you, hmm? Shame of you. You should have respect me and my woman."

The woman's lips parted. "W-What?"

"Get out before I drag you out of my company."

But the woman didn't listen. She has questions in mind. "H-How? How come, Kiel?! You promised, right? I know you love me! That you have feelings for me! I saw it the way you look at me! But why?!"

"Sorry but he ended up with me," Talia said to respond to her. "Get out, Miss. Get away from him."

The woman glared at her. "You delusional!"

"No, you are," Talia smiled. "How would he like you when you are like this? Look at yourself. You don't take care of your dignity in front of men. My man is different, hmm? He don't play."

The woman gritted her teeth before she glared at Kiel. She was already on the verge of crying when she get out of the room. That is when Talia let out a heavy sigh and sat on the couch. Kiel then followed her.

"I brought you lunch," she simply said without looking at him.

"Talia, I'm sorry about that -"

"No, don't be. That was fine," she cut him off and massaged her temple. "Eat, Kiel. You have to take your lunch."

Kiel noticed that Talia is filling herself so she could calm down her waves. He wants to embrace her to make her feel his love but he knows she would just get mad especially that she was not in the mood. Kiel just get the food Talia brought for him and forced himself to eat. As he chewed, he talked.

"What she is saying is not true," he said.

"Stop talking," Talia then fired, still can not look at Kiel. "Just eat, Kiel. Do not mind me."

"No, Talia. I can't just let you feel that way. You can not even look at me," he stated with a hopeless look. "Hey, please look at me? Listen to me. You have to trust me."

"If you want to explain yourself, go on. I would not mind."

Kiel sighed in subtlety and sipped on his water first. He then cleared his throat before he started to utter. 

"Just this week, she always pass by and talk to me. I do not have to tell about it to you because it is not big of a deal, not a big deal for us, she is nothing. I have nothing to do with her," he said, staring at Talia thoroughly who still can not lay her eyes to him. "And about earlier, she's right when she told me that deal. I did not choose any of her choice, she was blackmailing me but she do not have any of my secrets. There is nothing between us. I did not even lay a touch on her skin."

Talia nodded her head twice, not stating anything. That is a signal for him to continue.

"And when she sat on my lap, I tried to push her but she was sticking. I can't look at her because with the image of her sitting on me, I am already hating myself for being so disgusting. It was like I am cheating on you."

Then he stopped. He looked at Talia and waited for her words but to his disappointment, he heard nothing from her. Talia on the other hand believe to what he is saying. She believes her man. It was just that she is currently having a bad mood, perks of being pregnant and she can not look at him yet because of annoyance, somehow angry.

The view of that woman sitting on his lap makes her blood boils but she has to control her feelings. She cannot stress herself even more. She can not risk being angry and getting driven with her feelings.

"Tal -"

She cut him off. Now, she hates hearing his voice. "I believe in you, okay? I understand it. I get it. Just, stop. Stop talking, stop minding me. Eat your lunch, I will not leave until you finish that."

Kiel sagged his shoulders, dismayed. "Why are not you still looking at me, Tal? Why can't you look at me?"

Talia closed her eyes tightly and bit her lower lip. "I am annoyed, okay? I want silence. Please."

Kiel nodded his head and smiled bitterly.

"I want silence in your presence," she added and looked down. "I just have to cool down around you. Sorry if I make you feel like I doubt your feelings and I don't trust you anymore. It is not like that, Kiel. It's not what you think."

Kiel nodded his head again for the nth time. Just like what Talia wanted, he continued to eat silently and slowly. She said she will leave after he finishes to eat his lunch, so might as well eat slowly so she would not leave shortly. He wants to be with her every time, especially this time that he sees her hurting and annoyingly mad.

He can't hurt his baby mommy.

The room was silent for already half hours. Talia can not help but to shake her head. She knew his tricks and she find it cute, funny, and annoying at the same time. She just let him, though. To eat slowly so she could stay longer. Kiel just wish that Talia will know how badly he wants to hug her. He wants to embrace her tightly as he could. He wants to wrap his arms around her and kiss her countless times.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Talia asked as she felt his stares while she is closing her eyes and is leaning against her seat. She was taking a nap.

"I just love to," Kiel simply said with a small smile plastering on his lips. "I get it why you still can't look at me. I love you, Talia."

"Hmm, I know."

Kiel chuckled. "I expect you to say thank you."

"All right, thank you for the love."

Kiel then stopped for a moment. "That is not a farewell, right? I am not cheating -"

"Don't mention that again," she said before he could utter the whole sentence. "Don't remind me that, please? Our baby might can hear it."

"That is better. Our kid will know how much I love you."

Talia just snorted and did not say anything anymore. Kiel finished his lunch and he fixed everything back to the paper bag to clean the mess. That is when Talia celebrated.

"Finally, after two hours, you finished to chew your lunch. How strange is this food anyway?" she said in humor and stood up. Kiel just smiled at her. And he was about to hug and kiss her when Talia stepped back.

"Come on, babe," Kiel sighed.

"No," she said in conviction and grinned. She then added. "You bear with the consequences, Kiel. Wait for my punishment."
