I can smell her, It’s faint but her scent is here.
Thunder rumbled in the clouds as I ran around towards the dark alley where I could smell her. But just as I stepped into the darkness of the alleyway, I saw someone down on the ground.

I ran up to her, sliding to a stop as I crouched next to the unconscious person, then paused. Slowly I moved my hand to pick her up and straighten her body in my arms as I sat there.
Lightning illuminated the whole place and I got to have an even better look at her, “Jena?” A frown appeared on my face when I noticed the side of her head was bleeding.
