“Hey!” The voice of a man snapped me back to my senses and my feet spurred into action even before my mind did.
I heard him come from the left side so I ran in the opposite direction.
“Stop!” Someone else yelled at me and I realized there were two people after me now. I circled the cottage and ran around to the front where I saw someone making his way inside. I only caught a glimpse of his back as I sprinted through the clearing.
My feet were pounding against the ground as I ran into the woods.
