I looked at myself in the big mirror in my room. I just finished fixing it in the dressing room here at home but I went back to my room so I could see myself better. I'm wearing a silver silky dress and it's backless. My three-inch heels are also silver and I only put a little jewelry on my body. I don't want others to think that I prepared too much to attend the party that my Mom was talking about. I also don't want to look bad in front of many people, especially since my Mom will receive an award for our company.

My friends called me a few times earlier, but as time went on, they didn't bother me anymore. Maybe they were too busy with the arrangements and maybe they thought that I wouldn't be there.

"Sister, Eli! Is it true that Josiah will attend that party too?" Stella asked me when she suddenly entered my room.

I looked at her and raised an eyebrow at her. When she saw my raised eyebrows, she sighed and did nothing but go out of my room again to knock. I grinned and shook my head before I finally speak.

"Come in," I said.

She didn't speak again and did not repeat the question.

"Of course, he will come. He won't agree to not be there, especially at a party like this," I answered her question earlier then shrugged my shoulders.

"My gosh! I thought he wouldn't come! If only I had known, I would have insisted to Mom not to take me," she complained to me.

"And why? Jos isn't bothering you. Another thing is that I like him more for you, so I won't stop shipping you two," I replied to her then rolled my eyes at her.

"What?! I'm too young for that, Eli! Why can't you two just do it, after all, you're the same age," she kept saying to me, causing me to laugh.

"What?! Disgusting!" I complained while laughing.

What happened to me and Stella inside my room was just teasing and teasing until Allison knocked on the door because our car was ready to go to the hotel where the gathering would be held.

As usual, I'm still nervous because I know that the people there are not random and even if my other friends and schoolmates are still there, we still can't avoid interacting with professionals.

"I will introduce you to my other friends and the rest, you can enjoy the party all night," Mom said before we got out of the car.

Right in front of the hotel, there are already many photographers and media.

"My friends are here too, Mom. So if I get lost later, they'll be with me," Stella said when we finally got out of the car.

I just went down and immediately wandered my eyes outside the venue. This is in the resort world, that's why there are already many people outside.

"Sure. Just limit what you do all night. I don't want to be embarrassed," Mommy reminded us.

I just shrugged my shoulders because even though I'm not as confident as my two sisters, I still can't do something stupid. None of the three of us said anything until the reporter approached us there, but someone immediately blocked us so we couldn't get too close. My two sisters were all smiles for every camera that was facing them, while I kept a fierce face. That's why I'm often mistaken for a slob because I don't smile at cameras like this. I knew it was going to be released publicly, so I wasn't happy. They're posting pictures without our permission and consent! I'll understand it if we were in another country and the celebrities there were like us, but we're not.

As soon as we entered inside, I was immediately met by a waiter serving wine there. Mom and my two sisters refused it but I stopped there to get one and immediately drank it.

"My gosh, Scarlet! The party hasn't started yet but you started drinking," Mom said as she shook her head at me.

I grinned for a moment and shook my head because I was suddenly thirsty there. I also enjoyed the wine right away and it looks like I just tasted it so I want more. It's just that I didn't get it again because two old women about Mommy's age came right up to us.

"Celeste! Are these your and Adie's children? They are girls and in fairness, they are beautiful!" Praise of an old woman.

"Oh yes! This is Allison, Scarlet, and Stella," Mommy introduced us.

"Girls, this is Alicia and Jen. They are one of the company's investors and my friends," Mom added.

I smiled when Mommy introduced me to them. Allison was the first to shake hands with them and introduce herself formally so I followed her.

"Eliana, but you can call me Eli," I introduced myself because Mommy mentioned my second name again.

After I introduced myself to them, Stella and I followed. I kept my small smile on them and I opened my eyes again to look for my friends. I have my phone with me but I don't want to use it in front of these professionals just to look for those two.

Mommy introduced us again to her other friends there and when I saw a man, I was a little nervous about what my Mom could do again. I just looked at Stella and shook my head because Mommy might introduce me to them again.

"Your daughters are really like you Celeste. So much elegant!" A woman said thereafter introducing us.

"Yeah but your second child has a resemblance to their father," said a woman there who looked almost the same age as my Mom.

I smiled because I was being referred to there. I indeed look like my father because I got narrow eyes as well as whites from him, so many people say that I'm the girl version of my Dad.

"By the way, this is my son. I almost forgot to introduce him," The woman added.

I looked at the man behind it. Our eyes met and I saw him smiling at me, so I immediately looked away and then frowned.

"This is my son, Stefan. I'm pretty sure you guys already met each other because you both went to the same school," said the old woman then laughed a bit.

"Yeah, I know him. Who wouldn't know your son," Allison said, then immediately introduced herself.

"Really? My son is famous!" the old woman laughed. "

"His name is well-known by my classmates and even my friends like him. By the way, I'm Stella," Stella introduces herself.

I pouted because why do they know this man? I don't know him, but his handsome face seems familiar to me.

"Eli, for sure you know each other because you two are batch mates," Allison said causing me to shake my head.

I don't know him and I don't remember seeing him even though we were batch mates. Fortunately, our parents were already busy because the party was about to start, so we said goodbye to find our friends. I have not formally introduced myself to the man we were in front of earlier and it is not important to introduce myself.

"Eli, why do I have to go with you? I've already seen my friends," Stella asked me.

I've been dragging her since I couldn't see Clara and Josiah. She saw Josiah's Mom but he wasn't by her side. I'm sure he and Clara are together as well as our other friends at school.

"Stop asking, Stella. When I'm with you, I can easily find my friends," I answered.

I'm sure that Josiah is also looking for my sister now so that when he finds her, I will see them too. My sister didn't do anything but obey me because she had no choice. I'm the older of the two of us so I have the right to demand.

"Eli!"

"Stella!"

Stella and I turned to our left and I saw Clara and Josiah there who called us. Just like I predicted earlier, they were with our other friends from our school and I also saw some of our schoolmates there.

"There. You saw them. Can I go now and find my friends too?" Stella asked then frowned at me.

I grinned and shook my head then I pulled her closer to our group.

"Just say hello to them and you can leave," I told her.

Josiah was very happy when I brought my sister closer to them and he even talked to her but it didn't take long because she left.

"I can't keep my sister here, Jos. She also has friends and lastly, she can't get along and keep up with our group," I said when Josiah complained because I let my sister leave.

"My gosh! Don't mind Josiah. The important thing is that you are here. I thought you weren't coming here!" Clara said happily.

I just grinned and joined their conversation. They even introduced me to someone who was with our other friends and just a few minutes later another group approached us.

I was laughing because of Josiah's story when I looked at the new group that had arrived. My smile disappeared when I saw a man there. Stefan was one of the men there and I just realized that they were there for a basketball team.

"Clara is so happy again because she saw Elijah," Josiah whispered to me.

I looked at Clara who was slowly drinking her wine and when I heard Josiah's laugh, I bit my lip to prevent myself from laughing.

"Stop teasing her, Jos. Maybe later she will tease you too Stella," I said to him.

Because I'm sure Clara won't allow that she won't tease Josiah back. Josiah finally kept quiet and looked scared by what I said. He just gave me a glass of wine and started talking to the other guys we were there with.

The party started so we ate there first. I can't even move there because every time I look at Stefan's side, I always catch him looking at me even though he's with a girl. My gosh! What is his problem? I also ask Clara if I have dirt or something on my face.

"Look, Jackson. He's with his new girl. She's not even pretty," Clara whispered to me.

I looked at their side especially when they passed by our table. It felt like my heart was pinched again when I saw that he was really with someone else. When our eyes met, I saw the pity in his eyes so I immediately looked away and shook my head.

"Are you all right?" Clara asked me.

"How can that be okay if you showed her worthless ex-boyfriend again?" Josiah replied.

I just laughed at the pain I felt, and like before, I showed them that I was fine. I'm fine. I don't want to see him and talk about him because I feel like all the pain I felt the first time he broke up with me will come back.

I went outside to get some fresh air because I couldn't stand the scene right there. I don't understand why he wants to talk to me, even though we're not together anymore. Also, everything is clear to me. That's fine with me and I accept that he's dating someone now. I accepted it even though I was still hurt but there was nothing I could do because we both started to move on.Fortunately, I brought the wine I bought there. I'll just let my two friends look for me later but I think they won't look for me because they're busy with their crushes. Out of the three of us, I'm the only one who doesn't have a crush! Both of them should be ready when someone gets my attention."Hey,""Hey!" I almost shouted while still holding my chest because of the shock. "What the hell?!" I said indignantly when I saw who it was. I couldn't take back what I said because I was taken by surprise. I don't know what Stefan is doing here. I don't want to assume that he is following me here. "I'm sorry. I di

"Thank you,"I looked at Stefan who was smiling while staring at me. We were starting to dance now and I couldn't look directly at him. I'm still a bit annoyed because the few people who saw us, if they weren't teasing us, they were taking pictures of us. "This is gonna be yours last. Don't forget my condition," I said to him using my stubborn attitude toward him. He laughed so I didn't even look at him. I don't know what he ate. For sure he has been seeing me at school before and I just don't understand why he is paying attention to me now. "Oh come on, Eli. We just met and we're schoolmates. Why don't we try to be friends with each other?" he answered and asked me. "I already have friends," I answered him. "I know but I still want to be friends with you. Can we? Please?" He pleaded like a child."I'll think about it first," I answered him because I'm sure he won't stop me again. He was about to speak when Jackson suddenly appeared at our side causing Stefan and me to turn arou

"That would be nice to hear, Eli, but it's not. Your sister already has a boyfriend. She told me then that I should just wait for her until she graduates from college," he said to me one after another, so I became silent."I did what she told me to wait for her. You saw how I avoid women who pay attention to me just for your sister, but I didn't expect it now. While I was waiting for her, she was already in love with others. How ridiculous, right?" he continued speaking then shook his head. I bit my lip as I listened to Josiah's story. I don't know anything my sister said to him because Josiah doesn't like to tell stories. Even now I am shocked by what I found out. "Why don't you tell me?" he asked. I frowned, "Say which one?" I asked curiously. "That someone else is flirting with Stella. For sure he's visiting your house and you see it. Why didn't you tell me? Why did you let me hope?" he said and asked me one after another so I shook my head one after another. "Jos, I-I didn't

"Why is she here? Did Mom let her?" I asked. "I don't know. I saw her here earlier and she's your responsibility here. Just keep an eye on it," she answered and then left me there completely. I was in agony and shook because I was going to be a baby sitter now! And I really have to keep an eye on that girl especially since I found out that she has a boyfriend. I don't know that man, that's why I don't trust that he is with my sister now. I drank my last shot again and asked for two more shots before finally leaving to go back to our table because my friends might be looking for me. They looked up at me when I got there, especially Stefan, so I looked back at him with a frown. I was still wondering if there was dirt on my face because that man had been looking at me for a while. I couldn't help but notice because it was as if he was reading my mind every time he looked at me. "Vodka, Eli?" he asked. My lips lifted and looked at the two shots I was holding. That's why he was looki

I don't know where they went," I answered then shrugged my shoulders. "I still haven't seen Josiah, it's a shame he didn't participate in our games," he told me. "Even though he's here, I'm sure he won't join. He's a killjoy tonight," I answered him. After my sister rejected him, I don't think he wants to play with us now. I'm sure he's drinking more right now to forget about it."Too bad. I wish I could ask him something," he said as I poured wine into my glass and his glass. "What are you going to ask him?" I asked after drinking wine again. "If he likes you," Stefan answered me immediately. I suddenly coughed because I was surprised by what he said and then I couldn't help but laugh because of that. "Oh, why? Are you alright? Why did my words make you cough?" he said with a worried voice. "Just from your reaction, I think you really like each o

I'm gonna transfer it to your account," Mommy said immediately, making me shake my head. "Mom, no. I need to tell you something," I told her. I don't need money because my account never runs out. That's not why I woke up early today either. "Oh my gosh, Scarlet. Don't surprise me," she said while pouring tea into her cup. "Listen to me carefully," I said and immediately saw Mommy nod at me. "I just discovered last night that Stella already has a boyfriend. Is there someone who asks your permission to court our Stella?" I asked.Mommy's eyes widened then she shook her head at me so I just nodded and sighed. "Maybe that's not her boyfriend. You know your sister has a lot of friends. When Clara and I looked at each other, I just rolled my eyes."I don't believe that Josiah is going to join his group mates. He's just going to see Stella," I said. Clara laughed while nodding at me before speaking. "You know him, don't you? I don't believe it either, so it's funny because he has to lie to us even though it's obvious that Stella is the one he's going to," Clara continued as she continued to laugh. "I can see how serious he is with Stella. In the few years I've been with Josiah, he doesn't pay attention to the women who're approaching him. He's loyal to Stella even though he's not sure that she'll like him back," I said, then shrugged. "You're right. I just don't understand why Stella's torturing Jos," she replied then sig

I know you're upset with your mother right now, but going to the club is not a solution, especially when you're alone," he told me. I didn't speak immediately because he was right. We just had a drink last night and I feel like the alcohol I drank is still in my stomach so I don't want to drink but I don't know where else to go now. "How about coming with me? I can explain to Yasmin that you can't join us," Stefan said as we walked to Yasmin's hospital room.I shook my head and smirked a little because he really believed that Lance was my boyfriend."There's nothing to be angry about. Don't mind about it, Stefan. It's okay. I assure you," I told him, and he smiled. He sighed and shook his head at me, as if I couldn't convince him that it was all right for me."I just don't want you to fight because of this," he answered when we finally entered Yasmin's room.I saw Yasmin's frown when she looked at us; that's why I smiled at her, because she seemed to have heard the last thing Stefan said."Get angry? Who gets angry? Is your mommy taking you away from us, Doc?" Yasmin asked one after the other.I quickly shook my head at her and looked at Stefan, who led me to walk. He immediately went straight to the table and put the paper bag he was carrying there."No, it's not her mother, Yasmin. I just said that, becaus

"Come on, Eli. Tell me the truth. I won't be angry if you and Stefan get back together again," Josiah scolded me.I sighed and raised an eyebrow at him. I told him earlier that Stefan and I didn't get back together, but he didn't want to believe that."Stop it, Jos. We just talked. That's it," I answered him.We are now walking to a restaurant near the hospital. As usual, even when I'm outside, I know there are bodyguards following me. It was already dinner time, so we decided to eat outside because we had duty all night."Talked? You said that you already talked. I've seen you two talking so many times that's why you can't use an excuse that word to me," he said one after another as if he didn't really believe what I was saying.I shook my head again because I didn't know how I could convince him that Stefan and I really just talked earlier."If you don't want to believe me, then you better ask him by yourself. We really just talked for our closure, and we also talked about the false

After coming from the precinct, I went straight to the hospital. Josiah immediately approached me to ask what happened."Stella mentioned to me that you are from the precinct. How are you? Have you talked to your dad's twin brother?" Josiah immediately asked me.I nodded and sighed."Yup. I have also introduced them to Tito Adler, and we still get to know him," I answered.Josiah nodded at me before he fixed his laboratory coat. He was about to speak, but he turned his gaze behind me, which made me frown, and looked at it.I saw Stefan approaching us; that's why I held my breath."I'll just check on some of my patients. I'll come to your office later," Josiah said, then immediately left.I panicked for a moment because I didn't expect him to leave right away, but I calmed myself down."Doc Eli," Stefan called me.I kept looking at him, and I could see the doubt in his eyes, as if he wasn't sure if he should approach me now.I cleared my throat and stood properly before I spoke."Mr. E

"How can you not know about that, Mom?" Allison asked."My gosh! If he hadn't introduced himself, I might have believed that it was Dad!" Stella said one after the other."How can I know about that? Your Daddy never mentioned to me that he has a twin!" Mommy answered, then sat down on the sofa.We are at home now because, after Tito Adler's statement appeared on the news, Mommy called us to come home. I thought they wouldn't be able to watch it right away because they were busy with their work, but I was surprised when they watched it right away."He looks like Dad. I suddenly miss Daddy," Allison said with a sad voice.I remembered the night Uncle Adler appeared to me, and I was also very devastated because I thought it was Dad in front, but it wasn't. I understand Allison's feelings because I have felt the same."So what's your plan, Mom? Don't tell me we're not going to help him, huh?" asked Stella.I looked up at Mommy because I was interested in her answer to Stella's question. I

I don't know how many minutes passed until Mommy finally calmed down, but there was still a trace of anger in her eyes. "I-I just want to help the baby, but that doesn't mean I'm going back to Stefan," I explained to them. Even Stella did not want to agree to me adopting Elias because she said it was not my obligation. Another thing is that they really hate Stefan, even though I told them that I forgave him a long time ago. "How can you be so sure about that? I'm sure that man will use you again!" Stella said, annoyed. "It looks like you're planning to fool around for the rest of your life, Eliana. Hey! I don't know if I should be the one to say it. You're at the right age, so it's up to you!" Mommy kept preaching to me. I sighed again because I couldn't understand why they were thinking of me getting back together with Stefan, even though it never crossed my mind. After I got Yasmin back to her room, I let her rest. Stefan was still there, and Elias was asleep in the little crib. "Thank you, Doc. How is she?" Stefan asked me. Yasmin fell asleep immediately because her body gets tired quickly. Stefan, on the other hand, stopped what he was doing to come to me and say thank you. "She was fine, and we have already talked. She just mentioned something to me earlier," I answered, then shrugged my shoulders. I could see the slight surprise in his eyes, as if he already knew what it was about. "A-About what?" he stuttered. I avoided looking at him, and I looked at Yasmin, who was sleeping on her bed, as if she were very tired. "She doesn't want to have the surgery," I answered.I feel so sorry for her, because even if I don't agree with what she wants, I can't do anything else. "Yes, she already told me about that. I don't agree to what she wants even though her funds for her treatment have been used up," Stefan explained, causing me to turn t

I saw that the sun was about to set, and I was glad to witness it now because it was almost night when I left the hospital. It's a good thing that Yasmin asked for this, so I was able to watch the sunset with her. "How's your feeling?" I asked Yasmin. We are now behind the hospital, where there are many trees and a large oval field. This is the place I chose for my hospital so that I could give the patients a big space. The air is fresh there, and I sometimes go here when I want to be alone. There are also other patients there who are being taken around by their nurses. "As of now, I feel fine and feel no pain," Yasmin answered me. I gave her the vegetable salad that Josiah gave me earlier because I couldn't eat it anymore. I only drink iced coffee now. Yasmin was looking at the big oval field while sitting in her wheelchair, so I sat on a bench right next to her. "Your surgery is coming soon. Are you ready?" I asked her. I saw Josiah immediately shake his head while looking at me, so I slightly raised an eyebrow at him. "How many times do I have to tell you, Eli? Separate your personal feelings in situations like this so you don't get hurt in the end," he said to remind me again. I held my breath and tried to smile at him before speaking. "I know, Jos. "I'll leave you two here for now. I'm just going to buy something outside," Criza said to say goodbye. I nodded to her, and I watched her until she got out of Lance's hospital room. When Criza finally left, I turned to Lance again. He smirked as if he was going to start teasing me again, so I immediately came to him and lightly slapped his arm. "Ouch! Eliana! Did you really come here to hurt me?" he asked, then laughed slightly. "Yeah, because you're annoying! Why did you catch the bullet meant for me? You don't have nine lives," I complained to him. He laughed, so I glared at him. "Stop laughing. T
