13: QUITE DIZZY

ADRIANNA

I felt quite dizzy.

I could see the world spinning before my eyes. Everything and everyone were in pairs. I held my manager's hand tight as i felt like i could collapse at anytime.

I was beginning to become weak, my body not been able to hold me anymore.

My manager looked over to me, as she was now concerned, because i had gripped her so tightly.

"What's wrong Adrianna?" She said as she held me by my shoulders.

I looked up at her, and i could see two of her.

I shoke my head to release the tension and took a deep breath, but it only became worse. I could no longer see clearly and everywhere was spinning seriously. It felt like everyone was in twos and they were moving without even stopping

"I don't know ma'am, I don't feel go__" i wasn't able to finish the sentence as i became very nauseous and before i knew it, i had brought out a weird substance from my mouth.

I had vomited, and worst of it all, i had vomited all on my manager's cloth.

She held a shocked expression, her eyes widened.

"I'm so so___"

I was about to apologize, when i felt my body collapse and everywhere went blank.

The faint sound of a beep was all i could hear for a while. My eyes shot and everywhere pitch black. I couldn't understand what was happening and where exactly that sound was coming from.

I sprang my eyes open, taking in my surroundings. The walls were white, and gave the feeling of a hospital. I took a look around and i could finally see what was making the beeping sound.

My eyes widened at the realization, i was in an hospital.

How did i get here? And what exactly happened? How long have i been out?

I took a look around again, and this time i could see two people standing at the corner talking.

I took a closer look and i realized that it was my manager and a doctor, i guess the one who attended to me.

I couldn't actually hear their conversation, or what they were talking about, because their voices were faint and they were a little bit far away from where i was.

I laid in the hospital bed, confused and not understanding what was happening. I could not really remember what happened, and how i had got here. It was all just so confusing.

The doctor noticed that i was finally awake and she walked up to me.

"Oh, you are awake?" She said as she walked up to me, checking my temperature and every other thing she needed to check.

"Yes doctor i am. What exactly happened?" I said as i sounded so confused.

"You passed out. You've been out for two days now" she said as she moved back, holding her medical chart.

"Two days!!" I said shocked at how long i have been asleep.

"Doctor, what exactly happened? I can't remember anything" i said.

I couldn't remember a single thing that happened that led me to this hospital. I had tried to rack my brain around it, i had forced myself to remember what happened before this hospital incident, but all i got was a splitting headache. My head was hurting so bad, that i just had to stop thinking.

The doctor looked over to my manager, signaling her to come forward.

She walked over to where we were, and gave me a wide smile.

"Hi Adrianna, how are you feeling now" she asked me putting her hands on my shoulder.

"I feel good i guess, please what exactly happened?" I asked her, my tone laced with confusion.

I needed to know how i got here, and what exactly happened.

"Okay, two days ago, after you had an argument with a customer, where he harassed you and i called the police on him, you passed out in the shop shortly after. You were feeling quite dizzy and even threw up on me and before we knew it, you collapsed on the floor, so we had to rush you to the hospital" She said, her hand gently patting my shoulders to soothe my nerves.

I sat down on the bed, shocked and confused.

I looked over at my manager, trying to say something or even anything, but nothing refused to come out. I was just too shocked to speak.

"Shhhh it's okay, just take a rest. You need it" she said.

"I'll go get you food and water, cos i know you are starving and you need something to eat" she added as she gave me a reassuring smile.

I watched as she left the hospital room, my mind racing with thoughts.

The doctor walked over to me with a smile.

"What happened to me doctor? Was i too stressed?" I asked curious and wanting answers.

She gave me a smile, and moved closer to me taking a seat.

"You need lots of rest, you were too stressed, that was why you passed out" she said, as she held her medical chart closer to her chest.

I looked at her confused. I hadn't done anything that would stress me or strain me, so i just couldn't understand. I was perfectly fine all these days, with little to no problem, so it was quite weird that all of a sudden, i would become dizzy, even going as far as throwing up and then collapsing.

Was i having some kind of disease? Or terminal illness?

My heart began to race, and my eyes widened in shock.

Was that the reason why i passed out? Was i sick?

I took a deep breath, trying to calm myself down.

"I was not so stressed doctor, i did not actually do so much work" i said confused, and my heart racing with fear.

The doctor looked at me and gave a smile.

"Hmm yea that's the issue, that is the side effects of pregnancy" she said.

My heartbeat stopped at that moment.

It felt like the world took a pause, and everywhere was still, nothing moved, not even the doctor.
