Chapter 3 Revenge

Vivian's POV

All I wanted was just one night to lick my wounds and forget about everything that had happened to me but it seemed like I couldn't even ask for that. Running into Wilson and Bianca was the last thing I had expected for the night to turn out. I guess it was just my bad luck.

"I can't believe that loser. How dare he accuse me of cheating when he cheated first," I said through gritted teeth.

"I know right," Lily said putting her hands on my shoulder attempting to comfort me, "did you see the way he was acting. He was acting like a jealous husband who just saw his wife cheating. The audacity of him"

I looked down at my hand held tightly together. It still stung from when I had slapped Bianca. It felt so good to have put her in her place in front of anyone.

Lily snorted " The reporters are going to be feasting on this story for a while. It's quite the scandal"

I shrugged. I didn't care if Bianca was vilified for this, I hoped her face would be plastered on every news outlet in the city for all to know what she'd done. I can't believe the nerve of her accusing me of something she'd done to me. Did she really think she was a victim? She was just a useless homewrecker.

My brother called my name. It had been a long time since I had seen Cole. Ever since I'd insisted on marrying Wilson against my father's wishes, I'd lost contact with most of my family members including my brothers.

That was what I had planned to tell him the day I had found him cheating on me. The secret that I had been hiding for the two years we'd been married, that I was from a very powerful and influential family. The Declan family was one of the richest families in the city but also the most reclusive.

We mostly never attended big gatherings so a lot of people don't know what I looked like. I had met Wilson when I was working in my father's company in disguise as a normal worker. My father had wanted me to learn how to manage a company and had put me in a low level position and climbed my way up from there. Wilson had been a struggling lawyer then and we had started dating soon after.

My father had blatantly objected to our dating when he'd found out so I had cut ties with him and left with Wilson. Wilson had never found out about my true identity and I had only told him I was an orphan with no family of my own. I was so happy I could be with Wilson that I foolishly turned my back on my family.

I smirked. I would love to see the look on Wilson's face when he realizes the person I was dancing with was my brother and not a lover as he'd assumed.

"All you just need to do is say the word and I can destroy Wilson's life forever," my brother Cole said coming next to me.

Cole had never liked Wilson because he was the reason for the fight between my father and I and the scene at the club just proved his point of how much of an asshole Wilson was.

I patted his hands tenderly "I would so much love to do that but this is my fight. I will punish him on my own and once the divorce is finalized they won't be any reason for him to be in my life anymore"

Lily looked at me worriedly, "Didn't you see the look on his face when he saw you dancing with Cole?. I'm not sure we will be able to get him out of your life so easily like that."

I scoffed, trying to shrug off Lily's concern "Well he doesn't have a choice. I would never get back together with someone who cheated on me for so long. The divorce proceedings would soon be over and we will be finally separated once and for all"

Cole leveled me with a worrying look,"You know you have to eventually tell our father that Wilson cheated on you. Isn't it better you tell than him finding out from the press"

"Father has every reason to be angry at me. I had failed to heed his warnings when he'd warned me about Wilson. I should have listened to him back then," I said regretfully.

"That is why you need to meet and talk to him as soon as possible to smooth things over with him"

"I don't think I can face him right now," I whispered, nearing close to tears."He must be so disappointed in me"

"No don't say that," Cole said trying to comfort me."You did everything you could for him, you left your family, you did everything he wanted and yet he still took you for granted. He is the one that failed for losing someone like you. He's not worth your tears"

Lily gave a small sigh. "You really did love him, didn't you," she said sympathetically.

I nodded as Cole patted me on my back.

"I'm still so angry about what he did to me but I can't help but mourn about the death of our relationship. I had tried so hard to be a good wife to him that when I found out he was cheating I thought something was wrong with me. That I had some flaw that made him run into someone else's arms"

"That's crazy, Vivian," Lily barked, her eyes blazing red at me "I told you before Vivian you are perfect just the way you're. It's not your fault that Wilson is a cheating scumbag. Never ever say something like that again cause there is nothing wrong with you"

Cole stared at Lily approvingly as he reached out to remove his handkerchief from his pocket. "What Lily said is right. You're perfect just the way you are and father would be happy to see you. You know how much he loves you," He said as he tenderly wiped my tears with his handkerchief.

"If you want I could have the story pulled and make sure they don't write about what happened," he offered.

I knew my brother had the power and the connections to do that. With the snap of his fingers he could make the story disappear without anyone ever knowing about my altercations with Bianca. But did she really deserve to go unpunished for her actions after what she'd done to me?. I made up my mind.

"Bianca knew it was wrong to go after a married man but she did it anyway. She needs to be punished and have her reputation dragged in the mud," I said dully

"If anything make sure the news is highlighted in a way to show that she is not an innocent victim and she deserved the slap she got from me"

Cole grinned, pulling out his phone to call someone while I stared out the window.

"You did a good thing. Both Bianca and Wilson should suffer for the consequences of their actions. I hope this issue can also cause Wilson to lose some of his clients at his law firm," Lily said without remorse.

I hadn't thought of Wilson losing his clients because of the scandal. That brought a smile to my face but it still wasn't nearly enough.

"I want Bianca and Wilson to be pay for what they did," I said quietly, "and I don't know how I'll go about it. I'm going to make them suffer and by the time they realize who I really am, it will be too late"
