Elena’s pov

I woke up, and the silver light of dawn passing through the window shone on me.

The sheets tangled around my legs. My body ached and the lingering warmth beside me told me I wasn't alone.

For a moment, I just lay there, staring at the ceiling, letting my raging heart slow down.

Lykan’s arm was wrapped around my waist, heavy and protective. His chest rose and fell steadily behind me, and even in sleep, his fingers curled around my arm slightly like he was afraid I would disappear.

I shifted slightly, and that's when I felt the bond between us had deepened.

It was complete, but it was stronger than before I could feel it.

My wolf was quiet and calm for the first time in what felt like forever.

She didn’t press. She didn’t urge.

She was simply there. Well, she had finally gotten what she wanted.

Lykan stirred behind me, nuzzling against my hair, a low sound rumbling in his chest.

For one insane second, I thought about pretending to still be asleep.

Elenas pov Two weeks later( four days before the blood moon) I was currently training with Dominic; my wolf was stronger, and so was I, but she still refused to speak, sometimes, it still felt like she talked in her own way. Dominic ran towards me. He no longer held back, and according to him, I had become tougher. I prepared to take his punches head-on. There was no time to move put off the way. Putting my hands in a cross, I braced for impact.I didn’t go flying anymore. I smirked at him, pulling my arm into a fist. I hit him hard in the stomach. He stumbled back 5 steps, trying to steady himself, not giving him time to recover. I struck again, faster, and I put more force into each one. I didn't give him time to see an opening. I just kept going. He jumped backward, separating from me. I prepared to strike again, but before I could move, he moved first faster than before. Coming from behind me, he choked me, and I grabbed onto his hands, trying to free myself. I changed my

Elena povI didn’t stop trembling. She went through so much. Could she possibly be alive, or was she dead? She made so many sacrifices for me to be alive. Those monsters ruined her, and I would ruin them to every last one of them. Lykan didn’t let go holding me firm. He really was like a pillar I could rely on unbreakable and firm. "It's OK, princess. Cry it out." He whispered. He could probably feel my pain and hatred because of the bond. Dominic didn’t utter a word. "I'm fine now." I wiped my tears. I needed to be strong like my mother. Lykan let go, crossing the table and sitting. "I don't think that's all," Dominic said, eyebrow raised at lykan, confused. I looked at lykan for answers. "There's more. Ever since you started training and got stronger quickly, rumors have spread, and it seems the Northern Range is planning an attack on our pack.""Well, that's a dumb idea. Your pack is larger and stronger than theirs." I was shocked. "Well, not necessarily, since Lykan is v

Elena’s POV The next three days were hell. The kind of hell you couldn’t wake up from. The kind where every muscle screamed, every bruise bloomed purple, every breath felt like dragging glass into your lungs. And Lykan? He didn’t go easy on me. Not once. If anything, he was harder, faster, and crueler in training than ever before. But I understood why. War was coming. And there would be no mercy then. He was preparing me for war. I couldn't expect princess treatment, especially when what I wanted was revenge. Each morning before the sun even touched the mountains, I was dragged onto the field. Blades, hand-to-hand combat, evasion drills. Over. And over. And over. Until sweat poured down my back, blood dripped from my split knuckles, and my knees nearly buckled under me. And still— He pushed me harder. Still— I got back up every single time. "You think the enemy will give you time to catch your breath?" Lykan barked at me one morning after knocking the sword fr

Elena’s pov After the training, I couldn’t sleep, I stared at the moon through the window. Why hasn't the blood moon risen yet from what I read about it? The moon should be out by now. Why isn't it out?I tossed and turned, but I couldn't sleep. My bruises had healed, but I couldn't sleep.Something inside me wouldn't let me sleep. That could only meet one thing. lykan was in distress. Immediately getting up, I wore my pants and cardigan. The cold air brushed against my face the moment I opened the door. Allowing the bond to point the way for me, it was a small cottage house, and there he was sitting on the roof. "Hi." I stared at him with a subtle smile."You should be asleep." He said with a frown.I jumped from where I stood onto the roof and sat beside him. "No kidding genius, but someone I'm bonded to is not very happy, and it's hindering me." I stared at him with dead eyes."I'm sorry shit." He said, feeling guilty he was extremely cute right now. "It's cool, so what's on

Elena's PovI doubled up, clutching my stomach as it hurt and as though I had been slicing dozens of razors through it. I would think people would suspect I was in heat, but no, I was suffering due to another man's error. My husband was bedding another woman right before my eyes. Without any consideration whether I shall live or perish.Tears flowed from my eyes as I stood and viewed them, their bodies entangled together on our bed. My knees trembled beneath me, about to give way at any time. The hallway whirled around me as another wave of agony swept over my stomach."James," I whispered, speaking so softly I barely heard my own voice. My husband rolled his head leisurely, his eyes catching mine in the doorway. Instead of shock or shame, his face displayed no more than irritable discomfort, as though I had caught up with him midway through an unexciting phone call and not while he was betraying our marriage vows."Elena." With a sigh, he made no secret of it. "You're back early."Sh

Elena's Pov "Is my baby okay?"The words slipped from my mouth before I could even open my eyes. Shaken by my motherly instinct, it had lingered while I was still even unconscious. The steady beeping of the monitor increased, matching the wildness of my heartbeat.White ceiling. Smell of antiseptic. Hospital.I noticed a doctor standing beside me, clutching a clipboard in his hand, and his expression masked with empathy. I just hoped and pleaded quietly to anything that could help that it wasn't what I was thinking."Mrs. Spencer," the doctor began, his voice restrained in a way that can only deliver bad news. "I am Dr. Andrews."My hands instinctively went to my stomach. Flat. Empty. Where there had been the firm fullness of being alive, there was now only softness. "I'm afraid we were unable to save your child." He said, the words falling from his lips like a stone sinking underwater. The words hit me like invisible bricks. My child...was dead."You had a placental abruption," the

Elena's Pov "Please, James," I begged, legs throbbing against the chill of the cold marble beneath me as I knelt at his feet. "Where would I be? What would I be doing?" James gazed down at me, his features twisted between that boredom and slight irritation, as though I was some wayward dog rummaging through scraps. Beside him, Sophia sneered, one hand wrapped possessively around his. "That is beside the point, Elena," she replied, studying her trimmed nails. "You may take your leave back to Mother and Father. Although they would no doubt be extremely. Disappointed at your failure." Their warning made another wave of nausea wash over me. They'd been so happy when I married the next Northern Range Pack Alpha. The status, the safety, the bloodlines—all of those down the drain now. They would be heartbroken at the shame. "I can continue to be of use," I pleaded, loathing the whiny quality of my tone but unable to stop it. "I can continue to serve the pack differently. I can—" "Sto

Elena’s Pov I stood there, trembling, heart hammering, unable to look at Lykan. The weight of it all pressed against my chest—the years of silence, the lies, the humiliation I swallowed because I thought that was what love was supposed to be.The girl who took beatings in the dark, who apologized for bleeding, who begged for scraps of affection. She was gone. And the woman standing here now?She didn’t beg anymore. She didn’t break anymore.I forced a slow, ragged breath into my lungs. My nails were still half-shifted, claws digging crescents into my palms."Are you alright?" Lykan asked, voice pitched low, steady, he stretched out his hand and soothed my back. I didn’t answer right away.Because 'alright' wasn’t the word.'Free' wasn’t either. There wasn’t a word big enough to describe how I was feeling. I lifted my chin, meeting his gaze."I'm fine," I said, the lie tasting bitter on my tongue. His silver eyes scanned me, sharp and assessing. He didn’t believe me.Good. He wasn’t

Elena’s POV Today was brutal. Lykan was training me personally, and he didn’t hold back. Not like Dominic, who at least pretended to pull his punches sometimes. No, Lykan fought like I was the enemy, every strike sharp, precise, bone-deep. Every move was calculated to break me down and build me into something stronger. And dammit— did it Hurt but. I was catching up. My speed was finally toe-to-toe with his, my reflexes sharper, my instincts waking up. But strength? Forget it. Every punch he landed shook my bones like a battering ram. Each block sent vibrations through my arms. Still—I refused to fall. I refused to break. I felt my wolf howl, I gritted my teeth, pushed harder, faster— Only for Lykan to sweep my leg and slam me flat on my back in the dirt. "Better," he said, standing over me, breathing only slightly heavier. "But not good enough." I opened my mouth to snap back— When a soldier sprinted onto the field, skidding to a halt beside us. “Alpha!” the you

Lykan POV She stood there holding Stephanie’s hand back straight, chin up, eyes blazing. She was a storm wrapped in a wolf body, I always knew she had a temper; I had never just seen it till yesterday. And gods help me… I wished it was my hand she was holding.Well, Varyn wished that.…Mostly.When she clapped back at Jarrek with that razor tongue of hers, I nearly laughed. Nearly. His son really did have a face only a mother could love—Elena wasn’t wrong. And the way she defended that girl… not with desperation or ceremony. Just conviction. Fire.It shouldn’t have done something to me.But it did.Varyn purred for hours after that council meeting.Even now, her scent still lingered in my chambers like clove and defiance, making it hard to think straight.I’d just sat down behind my desk when the door opened.Of course.Dominic.No knock. No manners.“News about her spread to the markets already,” he announced, waving a folded parchment like a fan. “Everyone’s talking about the Luna
