Chapter 4 Delivery

Jasmine had already left the kitchen to the living room while Jim, Chloe and Sharon throng around me to listen to what I had to say.

“I had broken up with Spiffy 5 months, then Michael showed up, and we got engaged”, “I didn't know how Spiffy got to know about it”, I coughed trying to clear my airways.

“Jasmine called me a week before my wedding with Michael and said Spiffy had a surprise for me”.

“Didn't you ask her how Spiffy got to know about it”?Jim intercepted my speech, with concern written all over his face.

“I did ask her”, I responded, swallowing the sputum mixed with tears that had filled my mouth.

“What was her response then”?Jim requested, folding his arm across his chest as he looked into my eyes.

Jasmine then responded swiftly “I told her she will get to know how he knew later”, “ but at that time she should get ready for her surprise”,as she peered at Jim, munching the cheese she was holding.

Just then my phone rang loudly in the room, and Sharon passed the phone to me saying “it's Spiffy”.

The mere mention of Spiffy made me want to run to the bathroom and empty everything in my stomach. I flinged the phone over to the other couch and continued our discussion while the phone kept reverberating.

“Why not hear what he has to say” jasmine pleaded, going on her knees beside the couch I was sitting on and held my hands as she said “hear him out bridggy”

“He has nothing to say”, I snorted loudly “he has said it all to me and Michael the day he showed up at our duplex”. Jasmine picked up the ringing phone and answered the call, putting it on a loudspeaker.

“Bridggy I know I've caused you much discomfort, but I'm ready to make amends”, “I want to take care of you and our child,I want to give you a happy life”, Spiffy ranted over the phone, his voice getting more emotional.

I giggled when he said he wanted to give me a happy life and all eyes in the room fell on me while I kept mute.

“Be my Luna and fated mate”, he suggested, just as I got up and walked out of their presence to Chloe's room while Spiffy rants over the phone.

“Boring lines” I muttered out while they listened to the rest of his lines

I laid on the bed in Chloe's room, my body and heavy stomach turned to the left as I thought about Michael.

He was my fated mate, my better half, my alpha and lover, he was gentle and kind unlike Spiffy,I remembered the smile on his face the day he gave me his ring, he promised never to leave me but here am I without him by my side.

Our wedding night was filled with a deep display of emotions and longing for each other,we had not had intercourse prior to our wedding and we took advantage of our wedding night.

We were hot and not even tired after the ceremony. We took a fresh bath together and began to kiss and cuddle right from the bathtub.

He had sucked my firm breast so romantically that I was more wet down there than any other part of my body.

I had massaged his below making us desperate for each other some more and just as we rounded up the bath, he raised me up from the tub with me still clung to his body and he laid my naked self on the bed, with my thighs apart as he drives into my core jerking so hard.

“Sister give him another chance”, jasmine's voice resonated in the room, bringing me back to reality. Still engrossed in the feelings of my fated mate Michael and our erotic display,I didn't respond to her plea.

Sharon and Chloe followed her closely as she knelt by the bedside, tapping my palm gently and said “hear him out please”.

“But why did you break up with Spiffy”?, Sharon scoffed, her face breaking into a temporal frown. “He was possessive”, I retorted.

“Is there anyone who truly loves you that won't be possessive?”Jasmine reiterated, getting up on her feet and sitting beside me on the bed.

“He was manipulative, adamant and excessively possessive”. I screamed holding my head as tears turned my eyes red.

“Michael is the one I want, the one I need”, “he was everything I ever asked for, his love was tender and delicate like a petal”.

“Please… hold it”! Jasmine cut in, “but he is gone now, accept your reality” she erupted as she got up from the bed and straightened the end of her fluffy blue gown and walked out of the room to pick up her ringing phone.

I felt a sharp pain below my abdomen, which kept biting hard.I didn't know when I let out a scream, clutching my stomach and almost going on my knees as the pain increased.

“Hold her other arm” I could hear Jim gesturing with his head to Sharon while my scream increased. I felt a heavy body in the middle of my core which made movement very difficult for me.

“Hold on,we are going to the hospital”, I could faintly hear Sharon's tiny voice. “!Ahhh”! I screamed, the pain multiplied as I went into the car. Jim kicked the engine to start as we zoomed off to Rogers hospital leaving jasmine behind.

The drive was hasty, beating traffic signs and drivers complaining in their vehicles of Jim's speed while he continued,screeching to a halt into the parking lot.

Sharon had informed doctor Rogers we were coming, some nurses were waiting at the entrance of the reception hall with a stretcher as they rolled me into the VIP ward.

The pain was biting hard all over my body and I had slightly tapped Jim to call Michael and inform him that I couldn't make it, as I heard P.U.S.H…

I didn't know what happened next but the walls around me swung like a pendulum. Then I closed my eyes to relieve my head of this heartbreaking trauma.
