The beast stirred

"ahhhh-hhaaaaa" Hunter yawned tiredly, as he looked at his beta with droopy eyes. "Let's stop here for today, it's almost 2:00am. Let's continue tomorrow. Just let me know if you hear any information from that pack, Julian." he looked at his gamma and said as he stood up and staggered towards the door.

"Yes sir." Julian bowed slightly. He looked at Maverick and sighed while the other mirrored his action as they leaned back on the chair. 

The news about the beast that's about to be awoken by an unknown person had left everyone troubled and confused. They have been trying to figure out what happened and why the beast that had been locked away for over a thousand years was suddenly blinking its eyes like the news had reported.

"Or do you think the moon goddess wants to punish us for abandoning Luna?" Julian suddenly sat up and tilted his head toward Maverick, who was already dozing off, with his elbow propped on the chair's backrest as it supported his swaying head. He looked so tired and sleep-deprived.

Maverick stood up and yawned, before shooting Julian a death glare. "Don't sit there and conclude nonsense, go back to your chamber and sleep. Tomorrow we continue looking into this matter. What I know is that someone is behind the beast's sudden stir and we must find who is behind it before it is too late."

After saying this, Maverick yawned for the second time as he staggered towards the door, leaving the puzzled Julian behind.

"I hope that's the case," Julian shrugged his shoulders, as he also stood up and exited the room. He didn't know he needed a rest until his back touched his comfy bed and he hummed in content.

Hunter walked into his bedroom and smiled when his eyes caught the glimpse of the figure who was sleeping soundly on his bed. He could see her vividly in the dim room, as the only source of light was the moon shining brightly. Just a glance at her face made him so happy and seemed to have washed away all the fatigue and exhaustion that was clouding over him after long hours of trying to figure out what was happening to his kingdom. 

Lisa still remains the best gift his father had ever given to him, as he had fallen in love with her at first sight. She gives him so much joy, bestows his heart with contentment and satisfaction. Thanks to her, he no longer had to sleep with different girls just to forget a certain runaway Luna.

He slowly crept into the bed and pulled her into his arms, planting a gentle kiss on her forehead.

"Hmm.." Lisa hummed, as she slowly opened her eyes and smiled back at the alpha king. "You're back." she said.

"mhm." Hunter nodded, moving a strand of hair away from her face. "Did you wait for me?"

"Hmm... but I couldn't wait anymore so I decided to sleep." she pouted.

"I'm sorry." he chuckled, as he lowered his head and slowly captured her lips in a deep and affectionate kiss. It was as if he was baring his heart out to her, silently telling her how sorry he was for staying out late as he kissed her. He only let go when he felt her breath depleting, placing his forehead against hers'.

"How was the meeting? Any lead on who was behind the beast's strange movement?" she asked, her voice soft and warm, like the most caring mistress in the world.

"Hmmm.." Hunter sighed loudly, he looked up as color instantly drained from his face, then he looked back at her and shook his head. "There's no luck yet. Someone that wants the end of werewolves must be behind it and we'll surely catch whoever it is soon." he said, flashing her a reassuring smile.

"I hope so too." Lisa nodded. "If that beast should wake up, I don't think all of the werewolves put together would be able to fight it alone. All the supernatural heads had gone through a lot to lock it a thousand years ago."

"Mhm...it would be hard to defeat it now that all the supernatural beings are no longer at peace. That is why we have to stop whoever's behind it." Hunter agreed.

"Let's not think about it again. Let's just go to sleep, you have been working the whole day and you must be very tired right now." Lia said, pecking the Alpha king on the lips.

"Not tired enough to resist the seduction you're boldly sending my way.?" Hunter smirked, as he rolled them over with him hovering above her. "How can I resist your charm?" he slowly lowered his head and kissed her lips gently, before deepening it.

Lisa was left breathless, causing her to pant heavily. She slowly raised her index finger and poked the alpha's nose while smirking. "I was only pretending to sleep too. Who told you that I would willingly allow the slightest chance of drowning myself in your warmth to pass me by?" Lisa teased, while grinning mischievously. "I miss you so much, my king." she whispered, her eyes piercing into his, silently pleading for something. She slowly moved her hands and caressed his firm muscles before lifting her head up to peck one of his nipples, causing a groan to escape Hunter's mouth as his eyes fluttered close.

When he didn't feel her move anymore, he slowly opened his eyes and their gaze locked. "I'm waiting, my king." Lisa mouthed to him, biting her lower lip seductively.

"You little tease, I will show you how not to mess with me." Hunter gasped, and before Lisa could inhale and exhale, her robe was thrown uselessly on the floor.

Hunter inhaled, slightly taken aback by the sight before him. It hadn't occurred to him that Lisa could be stark naked under the thin fabric that was previously draped around her tiny frame. His hungry eyes slowly traced her body, pausing briefly on her hard nipples till they landed on her wet core, causing him to lick his lips greedily.
