The beast and masked one!

"Luna stop running." 

"Will you maniacs just get off my trail?" she hissed, increasing her speed.  She wanted to get as far as possible from these people. They probably need something from her. That would only explain the reason they have been following her everywhere lately.

"Stop running, Luna", one of the five men that were chasing after her pleaded as they continued running after their Luna. They were already tired, judging from the way they were breathing through their mouths, their speed decreasing every second. 

"I don't want to be your Luna. Is that hard to understand? And your stupid alpha now has a woman beside him, who happens to be your Luna. So what else do you want from me?" Nora rolled her eyes, but didn't stop.  

This was the third time that these men had managed to track her down, thanks to her mother. It was only her mother that could do this great job and Nora couldn't help but wonder how they were able to convince her to do that. 

The first time they had managed to catch her was while she was in Italy enjoying herself with herself, and the second time was at a fashion show in Paris. She still resents them for making her forsake the show as she tries to escape from them. They literally crashed that lovely day for her. And now here in Hawaii.

It's been over 5 years now since she decided to give up on so many things, but why does it still feel like time still remains the same every time these people appear before her? It still felt like yesterday. She could still picture his face, and of course, she could still remember how he picked another over her, spell or no spell. He wanted it that way because she felt and saw nothing but happiness from him when he did it. Thinking about it hurts like hell. That's why she'd decided to push all of it to the back of her mind, assuming her old self. It still amazed her that she was able to give up her ruthless behavior because of that person and yet he betrayed her after turning her into a good person. 

Fuck all of it. It's over and there's no way she will go back now.

 But how can it be over and remain that way when all these people keep on appearing before her and begging her to come home? Why can't they just get it that it was over between her and their Alpha? Why even run away from them when she can easily destroy them? But it's a taboo to kill a fellow werewolf. While all this was going on in Nora's mind, they had run so many laps on the beach with her chasers not relenting. And it got her more angrier.

"What the fuck do you want from me?" Nora suddenly stopped, as she turned to face them. "And don't start with Luna shit. I'm not your Luna." she warned seriously.

"You're our rightful Luna and there's no way we would address you without respect. So please pardon us, Luna." One of them who Nora remembered as the beta replied while bowing his head slightly as a sign of respect. When the Alpha king abandoned her and cheated on her, he was against it and almost fought his alpha on her behalf. She could still remember and she was grateful to him, but that wouldn't stop her from claiming his life if he continued to disturb her peace.

"Our queen doesn't want that obvious stupid title, don't you get it? " Hilton barked, as he and Mike suddenly appeared beside Nora. The look on the werewolves' faces turned to that of disgust upon seeing humans butting into their business with disrespect. 

"You two should stay out of this," Maverick growled.

"You don't growl at my men." Nora growled back, baring her teeth out.

"Am sorry, Luna." Maverick quickly apologized, once again baring his neck in surrender.

The two men also got irritated by the title and were ready to snap at the deaf man before them. But Nora held them back with just a snap of her finger. She wouldn't want them to suffer ignorantly for defiling the people before them. 

"Take me back to my seat," she commanded.

The disgust and contempt on the werewolves' faces doubled as they watched the two men carry their Luna back to her seat with their filthy and unworthy hands. After doing this, the men went back to their position, with one kneeling on the ground beside Nora's legs and the other moving to her back.

Nora adjusted her sunglasses, relaxing her back properly on the lounging chair, before she finally looked up at Maverick. "So what brings you here, beta Maverick?" she asked sarcastically, looking uninterested while playing with her well-polished finger nails.

But seconds passed, and there was no response from the beta. She stylishly looked up at the men before her through her glasses, enjoying the anger and disgust on their faces while watching the men touch her neck and leg. Awesome!!! 

Talk about having fun, this is clearly one of them and they might never return after today. This is what your alpha did to me. Enjoy the disgust in full and be sure to gist him when you get back. Nora thought as she smirked at the men. 

"You have five minutes more to say whatever you want to say and disappear from my sight before I destroy the five of you. And don't even think that I can't do it, after all, I'm no longer part of you people." Nora growled, snapping the disgusted expression off the men's faces. That's more like it, she silently nodded in content.

"Luna, please, we have an important message and these men can't hear about it." The beta pleaded.

"Just go ahead and say what you want to say, they won't hear you anyway." she placed her hand on her mouth and yawned lazily.

Maverick nodded his head, even though there was a little horror in his eyes. He'd just remembered what their Luna can do, which is part of the reason why they were there in the first place. "We need your help, Luna. Our kingdom is in a dire situation at the moment."

"What about your alpha?" Nora asked, feeling less concerned and unbothered. 

"He can't fight this alone, and we don't even know the one behind it."

"Well, that is your business and not mine. As far as my kingdom is not involved, then, all of you can go to hell and die." Nora said dismissively.

"I'm sorry to tell you this, Luna. But the whole kingdom is also inclusive. And that is why your mother has been helping us to find you." The beta explained.

Hearing this brought Nora to her feet immediately, ripping the sunglasses from her face. Even her men were forced to get up upon sensing the anger that was oozing out from her.

"What do you mean?" Nora queried authoritatively as she forced her mind not to believe her gut.

All the five men kneeled down immediately as they felt the domineering power in her voice. She did not just use her alpha voice, but her other powers were on the surface with her eyes changing into a glittering gold. There were other people on the beach but with her spell that she had cast around them, they could see or feel nothing out of the ordinary. They could only see a woman that was being massaged by two men and five others talking to her.

"Luna, please calm down." The beta pleaded, while struggling to breathe. Others were also suffering from the same ordeal.

"Tell me what happened." Nora demanded with her alpha voice coupled with the power that was sending chills down the men's spines.

"The doom that was sealed five years ago is back to destroy us all." Maverick said, as he slowly explained what had been going on to her. 

"Impossible!" Nora hissed.

With a loud thud, Nora kneeled on the ground while tears brewed in her eyes.

"My queen. " the two men rushed to her side.

" Luna." The five other men also did the same but she stopped them with a wave of her hand.

"Why now? " Nora asked no one in particular, as it was in her heart. 

Is this how fate messes with people?" she wondered, as she couldn't understand anything anymore. This piece of bad news was enough to question all of her life choices. It had her asking herself if she had made the right decision by choosing to leave instead of fighting. If she'd stayed, this probably wouldn't have happened.  

A thousand years ago, the beast caused havoc in the supernatural world as it almost wiped them out. It took great efforts and sacrifices for them to be able to lock that monster, turning it into a statue. How are they going to fight it once again? How would they reach out to other supernatural beings when they were not even in peace? 

Now, she has no option but to go back home, and face not just the locked beast, but the beast in a mask!
