CHAPTER TWENTY-FIVE.Casey's POV "Abso-fucking-lutely not!" Danny growls, rushing forward, his scowl seemingly permanent now. He yanks me behind him, shielding me from Carlos, as if blocking me from his view could break the pull between us. I tried to peer around Danny's broad shoulders, but he shifted each time, deliberately blocking my line of sight. The tension thickened, the air heavy with testosterone and dominance. My head throbbed, the overwhelming male energy pressing in from all sides. For a moment, everything was quiet, too quiet. The eyes of the other werewolves burned into me, adding weight to the already awkward situation. How this could get worse, I had no clue.
