CHAPTER EIGHTY-FOUR
Logan’s POV:
I led Evvie away from the training grounds, our fingers intertwined. I was surprised she did not resist me when I did, and I was glad.
Our steps were slow as we walked through the pack's territory. The cool breeze felt refreshing, and I noticed Evvie seemed to relax a little as we got farther from the noise created in the pack training grounds.
She was quiet, her mind clearly still occupied, but I could see the curiosity in her eyes as she glanced at me every now and then.
I wanted to surprise her. Wanted to show her a part of me I never showed anyone before. Besides, that way I could give her something to focus on other than the upcoming trial and intense training she had to take.
As Evvie and I strolled through the forest, the wind rustling the leaves around us, I couldn’t help but steal glances at her.
I admired her strength, but I also knew when someone was teetering on the edge of exhaustion. She needed a break,
