Chapter three
Killian
“What do you mean by Vittoria left the hotel thirty six minutes before I arrived?” I asked.
“Well, she was at the Dashers club at the time you were at the hotel. There are I*******m videos of her doing shots.” My assistant, Alex said.
I lean back in my chair, my expression carefully neutral, “if Vittoria wasn’t in the hotel room with me. Who had?”
Because there had definitely been someone in there with me. A brown haired goddess that had blown mind and done a disappearing act afterwards.
My mind flashed with images of her big, doe brown eyes staring up at me as I’d brought her to another orgasm. There had been something so innocent and pure and open about her. Something that should have clued me in that she wasn’t Vittoria Bell.
Vittoria was an experienced escort, and she’d have been eager to take the lead and wow me with her prowess. The woman that had been in my bed last night had been content to let me lead. She had been soft and pliable and fucking perfect.
Who the hell was she? Why the hell had she been in Vittoria’s room? In her bathtub naked too? Had Vittoria set this up?
I hated mysteries. I liked knowing everything about everything. I liked knowing that people were predictable and I could have every aspect of my life in perfect control. This wasn’t a part of the plan. This was out of my usual and I didn’t like it.
I wanted- no- I needed to get to the bottom of it as soon as possible.
“Her name is Desiree David and she’s a maid at the hotel.” Alex said carefully.
“A maid?” I asked. Unsure if I had heard correctly.
“Yes.”
“Has she reached out? Is it blackmail or something?”
His eyebrows bunched up in frustration, “no. She hasn’t. In fact it seems like she doesn’t particularly care. She’s continued with her life like nothing out of the ordinary happened.”
He looked up at me, ”excuse me for saying, but I don’t think this cleaner is going to present us any problems in the future.”
“I didn’t ask your opinion.” I sai coldly. I didn’t get to where I was by leaving things to chance. I got here by putting plans and contingencies in place just in case something came up. I was always prepared for any eventuality.
“I want to see her,” I told Alex.
“Vittoria?” He asked.
“No, the cleaner.”
I had no business with Vittoria and honestly, I wasn’t mad about it. She looked like she was a headache, high maintenance, whiny and demanding. She was the last thing I wanted to deal with right now.
“But why sir?” Alex asked, his tone full of confusion.
“When I say jump, you say how high.” I told him, “you don’t ask me why. The next time you question me, you will become unemployed and unemployable in forty states.”
He swallowed, then gave a small nod of acknowledgement. “I’ll reach out to the cleaner.” He said and then walked out of my office.
I couldn’t go back to work for hours later, my mind stuck on the woman who had been in my bed three days ago. I had had sex with countless women in the course of my life. Women were all too eager to throw themselves at me as soon as they recognized me.
The cleaner hadn't recognized me though. I’d know. She had looked at me without a flicker of recognition. Dollar signs hadn’t been in her eyes as she had looked at me. That was a very rare experience for me. I was used to women looking at me like I was their next meal.
I pressed down on my intercom button. I was determined to have the cleaner. I was a man who got whatever he wanted and she was going to be no exception.
“I need to see Quinn Now.” I barked into the microphone.
“Yes, sir” Alex replied.
Barely ten minutes later, my head of finance walked in, looking haggard as if she’d run ten blocks to see me. Good. There was nothing I hated more than people who lacked a sense of urgency.
“The BelleClavé hotel. I want it.”
Her eyes went wide, “Sir, they’re a chain of over ten very exclusive hotels around the world. They won’t go for pocket change. We’ll have a negotiation on our hands that may take months and we’re already deeply entrenched in the Middler Project. As your financial officer, I’d like to say that this isn’t a good idea.”
“I know,” I told her, “it’s a good thing that it’s my name on the door not yours then. Begin negotiations to get thr hotel. Pause the Middler Project. This is more urgent.”
Her lips pressed Into a flat line, the corners of her mouth going white with restraint, “sir, can I ask why this hotel is important all of a sudden?”
“No. You can’t ask.” I replied. “You’ll do what I tell you to immediately. I’m expecting positive news before the week ends.”
“Of course sir”
“And, Quinn,” I said as she begins to walk away, “this is a quiet project. I don’t want the usual loud take over. I’d prefer if this take over happened discreetly.” I was guessing the cleaner would know who I was by now, but I didn’t want to spook her till I was good and ready to meet with her.
By then, I’d have her exactly where I wanted her- at my mercy.
I didn’t know why I was taking all the extra precaution, I just had a feeling that Desiree wasn’t going to be very open to becoming my kept woman.
“Something this size would inevitably blow up.” She told me.
“I know. It won’t be a secret forever. Just for a while.”
“Yes, sir.” She walked out of the door and I was sure she was swearing up a storm right now.
Desiree was going to be mine. Nothing was going to stand in my way.
Chapter four Desiree“Des, there’s someone here to see you,” one of the hotel servers poked her head into the staff room. “Who?” I asked in confusion. I didn’t have any family in the city and my only friend worked in the hotel too. Who would be visiting me? My mind came up blank. The girl shrugged, "no Idea. He’s with Gia” She said then sauntered away. I made my way to the receptionist’s desk. Gia met my eyes and winked and I understood her reason for winking a second later when a bespectacled, suited man unfolded himself from one of the waiting room chairs and approached me. The man was tall and good looking. Not as good looking as Killian Donovan, my mind supplied. I shut that shit down immediately. Killian was a mistake that would not be repeating itself. He was also in the past. There was no way on earth I’d ever run into him again. It had been a week since my unusual experience with him. It felt like it had happened to someone else a million years ago. Some times I still fo
Chapter five DesireeI whirled around to face him. “That’s impossible. You’re bluffing.” “We both know I’m not. I wouldn’t even know that date if I were bluffing.” I gritted my teeth, “what do you want?” He didn’t smile. He didn’t stare down at me with triumph. As if he had known from the beginning that this was how this conversation was going to go. I had fallen right into the shaded lines of his plan. “As I said before. I have a proposition for you.” He said, “I want you in my bed.” “Why?” He looked surprised for a moment, “it doesn’t matter.” “It does to me.” I snapped. “You don’t hold any cards here. You’re quite literally at my mercy Desiree.” I shivered at the sound of my name rolling off his lips. Even though I wanted to strangle him with his own tie, I still wanted to climb him like a ladder and hump him. What the hell was wrong with me. “I’ll pay you of course. Five thousand dollars per night.” I gaped at the sum. Oh my freaking God. Did he seriously intend to jus
Chapter six Killian Was it the audacity, or was it how her eyes met with mine? Was she intimidating me right now? How dare she??? “I hate you”!! I recalled how the hatred in her face surmounted to the most I had ever received from a woman, men?? Men don't even dare to look up at me, cowards, but Desiree , she just … “Wear your hair down”! I commanded while I walked out of the room. I could have decided on a different room, but wouldn't it be perfect to remind her as a torture, it was fun for me, but I knew it was going to be the most annoying thing to her. I wanted her and that was it, there was no other way around it. I walked gracefully out the door and decided to use the elevator, something about the stairs screams “less privileged”!!! As I was in the elevator I realised that there was still a smirk planted on my face, I was having so much fun torturing her, I mean life should be this way. Rich, And Sassy! The word might be for the ladies, but at this point
Chapter Seven Desiree I wish there were more words in the dictionary to describe how I was feeling the moment Killian or killer bee or whatever his name was, left the hotel after blackmailing me to agreeing to sleep with him, no cap the amount was breathtaking, but that doesn't mean I'm as cheap as Lois’s two dollar wig?!!!! The thought of that alone made my stomach twist with aggression, yes I was hungry but Killian's proposal when I remembered what I signed up for just amplified the hunger. “Girl this is the third time your stomach will be making that really funny sound, let's go get something to eat.” Lois teased. I looked her dead in the eyes. “Like you don't know what's going on?” I tried to remind her. “What tell me?”.. Sometimes I just want to give her a little tour in my head to make her see how many times I have thought of punching her face and pulling her hair for the kind of remarks she gives. How could she be so unserious?!!! “Don't give me that look,
Chapter Eight Desiree “Girl you seem pretty made up today, better than last night!” Lois noticed as we got dressed and headed for work. “Yeah I guess, I just needed a shower that's all” I replied, almost cold. I wasn't mad at her, I just needed that attitude to be able to put up with Killian, my bone of contention, and he is going to be there for a while. I just hope he gets tired of me sooner so I could just vanish, after all vanishing was my thing. “Hey, forget all I said yesterday, if you want to quit this, I am fully in support of it, no one wants to be taken as cheap”. Lois pulled me softly by my arms. She suddenly felt like my mom at that moment. Though Lois can be so unserious, I need a little bit of unseriousness in my life, life is complicated for me to be serious all the time. I sighed. “I have no option now, Lois at least I could use the money for my mom's surgery then maybe find something to do with the rest”. I explained to her. Not to forget that my secret had
Chapter Nine Killian The morning was quite sunny and I decided to wear long dark pants with a bold hunter green turtle neck t-shirt, I pulled my dark coat from the rack and headed out. “You are three minutes late” I called out to my driver who was barely running late. “They had some construction going on, on the highway, so I took a longer route” He explained calmly. The two external people apart from my kid sister that were so confident to talk to me were my financial advisor and Oliver my driver. I love confident people, they put me on edge. “Hmm” .. I replied. The ride as usual was silent, I already had Alex waiting for me at work, I had a few things to check out at the office and sometimes I go to the office to catch some people lacking at their work. “Are we still heading for the hotel this evening sir?” Oliver asked genuinely, I had never told him we were going there again, but I love when people catch up real fast. He is smart, I love it. “Yes…. I have some busines
Chapter Ten Killian I wanted to just go in here and hold her, but I decided to keep my cool. I'm still Killian and this young woman wouldn't put me out of character. “Oh I'm sorry, I…. She apologised as she began to struggle to lay down her hair. I walked up to her gently, while she still struggled, I pulled her body towards me so that our bodies are now undoubtedly touching each other. I grabbed her hands softly but firmly from her hair, and I laid her hair down for her. The scent of her shampoo hit me and I wasn't prepared for it. Vanilla!!!! Now her back was in contact with my chest, while my talk figure hovered above her short height. I took a closer look at her choice of dressing. I bent low enough to her ear and I could hear her heartbeat rising like it was about to explode, but I kept mine in sync. “Delicate dressing you have there” I whispered to her making sure my lips tickled her ear a little, she froze at my action. She seemed quite ready and not ready so I r
Chapter Eleven Desiree “Open your eyes” my eyes flew open immediately landing on Lois face. “Geez girl you seem to have woken up from a very bad dream” Lois whined, taking her spot on the bedding. “What happened”?? I held my head, it was banging aggressively. “I should be asking you that, common given the tea now!!” I closed my eyes for a moment to fully remember how I got on and hotel bed. “Oh nooooo” I cried burying my face back in the sheets in shame as I remembered everything that had happened the previous night. “Girllll I get it, but you don't have to be embarrassed, I know from that look that it was steam yyy!” She giggled.. I looked around ignoring Lois's commentary and my sight caught a little white envelope on the table. I yanked it open. “No wayyy” I gasped. “What!” Lois grabbed the envelope from me and her face went cold. “There's no way this is real,” I exclaimed again. “This guy keeps to his word , I like it, you certainly got paid for real”. “Lois we didn
