After much deliberation the previous night, Sarah made her decision. She would agree to the contract marriage with Daniel, but on her own terms.
She would set strict boundaries and make sure that she was not compromised in any way.
She would be in control.
Sarah woke up early the next morning, feeling a mix of nerves and excitement. Today was the day she was going to meet with Daniel, the arrogant jerk who had proposed a contract marriage to her in exchange for his information.
She dressed in a professional outfit, making sure to look her best for the meeting. As she arrived at the towering skyscraper that housed Daniel's office, she felt a knot form in her stomach.
Taking a deep breath, she approached the receptionist and announced her name, after which she headed to the elevator that led to his office.
As she got out of the elevator she was greeted by Mrs. Stakes who informed her that her boss was waiting for her in his office.
Sarah walked into Daniel the Billionaire's office, her heart pounding in her chest. As she stepped through the door, she saw that Daniel was facing the outer view of his office, his hands in his pockets and his back turned against her.
She took a deep breath and walked towards him, her heels clicking on the marble floor.
"I'll do it," she said, her voice steady and resolute. "But we do it my way."
Daniel turned around slowly, his eyes meeting hers and nodded, a small smile playing at the corners of his mouth. "Of course," he said. "I wouldn't expect anything less from a journalist of your caliber."
Sarah couldn't help but roll her eyes at Daniel's comment. She knew he had a reputation for being arrogant, but she couldn't let that deter her from her aim of being here.
"Great, so let's get started," she said, trying to hide her irritation.
Daniel gestured towards the chair in front of his desk. "My lawyers will send over the first paperwork for you to sign within the next 24 hours."
Sarah sat down and crossed her legs, trying to appear confident. "Actually, I have some conditions before I sign anything," she said, leaning forward.
Daniel raised an eyebrow. "Conditions?"
She nodded. "First of all, I want this marriage to be purely for show. No physical intimacy, no romantic involvement, nothing of the sort."
Daniel smirked. "Are you sure about that?" he said, gesturing to his chiseled physique.
For a second, she couldn't help but imagine what those hands could do to her body. She felt a warm sensation wash over her just by thinking about those blue eyes staring at her in the dark and whispering sweet things to her ears while his hands played with her sensitive spots.
Sarah ignored his comment and continued. "Secondly, I would only be marrying you for a year, after which the marriage would end, and we would go their separate ways.."
Daniel leaned back in his chair, looking slightly annoyed. "Fine, I'll have my lawyers draw up the necessary documents."
"And lastly," Sarah said, taking a deep breath, "I want to make it clear that I have no intention of being a trophy wife. I have my own career and I plan to continue working."
Daniel listened carefully to Sarah's conditions. "That's perfectly fine with me," he replied. "To some extent I don't expect you to give up your career."
As Sarah stood up to leave, Daniel spoke up. "One more thing, Sarah. I want to make it clear that I have no intention of falling in love with you. I can promise you respect, but nothing more. I won't be able to give you the emotional support that a real husband should provide."
Sarah looked him in the eye and nodded, "I understand. This is a business arrangement, and I am not looking for anything more."
He sat confidently behind his large mahogany desk, his sharp eyes fixated on her.
He leaned back in his chair, crossing his arms over his chest and said with a smug grin, "Well, it seems our little arrangement is finally coming to fruition. The official signing of the marriage documents is in two days, my assistant will let you in on the details."
Sarah shifted uncomfortably in her seat, taken aback by his words. She had agreed to the marriage not because she had any interest in him. But she knew that this was going to be one hell of a contract.
Daniel continued, "Don't worry, my personal assistant will take care of everything for you. She'll arrange for you to go shopping for dresses and a complete wardrobe makeover to fit into your new role as my wife. I can't have you embarrassing me at public events with your lack of style, now can I?"
Sarah gritted her teeth, trying to keep her composure. She knew she was in a vulnerable position, but she didn't appreciate his condescending attitude. "I'm perfectly capable of dressing myself, thank you. And I don't need anyone to interfere with my life."
Daniel chuckled, clearly amused by Sarah's defiance. "Oh, I see, you really have no idea what you're getting into, do you? You're not just marrying me, you're entering a whole new world of privilege and luxury. And if you want to keep up, you'll need to play by my rules."
Sarah didn't like the sound of that, but she knew she didn't have much of a choice. She just had to get through the next two days and then she would be set for life.
She forced a smile and replied, "I understand. I'll do my best to fit in."
"Very well then." He replied. "I'll see you in two days"
Sarah bit back a retort and simply nodded before making her way out of the office. She knew this was going to be a difficult arrangement, but she was determined to see it through.
With that, Sarah left, feeling both relieved and a bit sad. She had known all along that this was a marriage of convenience, but hearing him confirm that he would never love her still stung a bit.
However, she knew that this was the best decision for her career and her future, and she was ready to move forward.
And so, the deal was struck.
Later that day, Sarah felt a knot in her stomach as she made her way to the news organization's office. She was nervous about the upcoming conversation with her boss, Mr. Stevens. She didn't know how to explain that the person she had been assigned to write a profile on, who was known for his reluctance to speak to the press, was the same person she was getting married to.Sarah knew that her relationship with Daniel was going to be an issue, and she wanted to be upfront with her boss about it. She had a lot to lose if her editor didn't approve of her personal involvement with her subject. As she entered the newsroom, Sarah couldn't help but notice the hushed whispers and curious glances from her colleagues. They knew about her assignment but none of them knew about the current turnout of events and she was grateful for that. Her boss, Mr. Stevens, was a stern, no-nonsense man with a reputation for being tough on his reporters. Sarah had just left her boss's office when her phone rang. She looked at the caller ID and saw that it was her best friend, Emily. She smiled and answered the call."Hey, Emi," she said, "What's up?""I just wanted to remind you of our last conversation," Emily replied.Sarah sighed. She knew exactly what her friend was talking about. "I know, I know," Sarah said, "And I appreciate your concern. But I've made my decision.""And?" Emily prompted.Sarah took a deep breath. "I'm going through with it. I'm going to marry him."Emily gasped. "What? Are you crazy?"Sarah laughed. "Maybe a little. But hear me out. This is a great opportunity for me. I'll have access to all sorts of information that I wouldn't have otherwise. And besides, the marriage is mostly going to be signing papers. I won't even have to see him that much."Emily sighed. "I don't like it, Sarah. I don't trust this guy.""I know, but it's my decision," Sarah said firmly. "And besides, it's happening in two days. There's
Sarah's heart sank as she heard the news. She felt as if the world had stopped spinning. Emily was her best friend, and she was supposed to be the maid of honor at her wedding the next day. She couldn't imagine her wedding day without her best friend by her side. Tears filled her eyes as she tried to process the news."What happened? Is Emily okay?" Sarah asked, her voice trembling."She has been taken to the hospital. We're not sure of the extent of her injuries at the moment. But we have a team of medical professionals doing everything they can for her," the woman on the phone responded.Sarah felt a wave of emotions wash over her. She was supposed to be getting married in just a few hours, and now her best friend was in the hospital. She couldn't believe it was happening. She didn't know what to do or say."Can I talk to her?" Sarah asked, her voice shaking."I'm sorry, Sarah, but at the moment she's unconscious. We'll keep you updated on her condition," the woman said, her voice
Sarah found it difficult to sleep that night. She kept tossing and turning, her mind constantly preoccupied with Emily's accident and her upcoming wedding. She tried to distract herself by reading a book, but her thoughts kept drifting back to Emily and the uncertainty of her friend's condition. As the night wore on, Sarah grew more and more anxious, and by the time morning arrived, she was feeling exhausted and emotionally drained. In the early hours of the next morning, her phone rang. It was Olivia, her stylist, reminding her of the wedding and informing her that she would be arriving at 6 a.m to prep her for the big day.She tried to sound cheerful and grateful for the reminder, but her voice came out flat and lifeless. She was in no mood for wedding preparations, and the thought of getting dolled up and putting on a happy face felt like an impossible task. When her stylist arrived, Sarah went through the motions of getting ready, but her heart wasn't in it. Sarah sat at her desk, staring at the email from her boss. She knew what it was before she even opened it. "Another assignment from hell." She sighed and clicked the message open. "Sarah, I have a new assignment for you. You'll be interviewing Daniel Blackwood, the director of Blackwood Enterprise . This could be a big break for you, so make sure to do your best work. I expect a great story from you. Good luck." Sarah groaned. Daniel Blackwood was not exactly the kind of person she wanted to interview. She had heard all the rumors about him, and none of them were good. He was a cocky jerk who didn't care about anyone but himself. But Sarah had a job to do, and she knew she had to do it well if she wanted to advance in her career. The next day, Sarah arrived at Daniel's office building. The lobby was lavish, with marble floors and expensive artwork hanging on the walls. Sarah felt out of place in her jeans and T-shirt, surrounded by people in suits and expensive dresses. She took
Sarah is a journalist in her mid twenties, who works for a local newspaper and spends most of her days in the office, conducting interviews, researching stories, and writing articles. Her job is her passion, and she loves nothing more than uncovering the truth and sharing it with the world. Over the next few days, Sarah who was sitting on her couch in her small room found herself thinking about Daniel more and more. Her small house is located in a quiet residential neighborhood, just a few blocks away from the city center. It's a modest one-bedroom home with a cozy living room, a small kitchen, and a bathroom. The walls are painted in a warm beige color, and the floors are made of hardwood, giving the space a comfortable and inviting feel. As she looked around her cozy, comforting home, Sarah knew that she had achieved something truly great even though it was this small. She was even more determined to achieve her dreams and this was a starting point for her. As she sat on her co
Sarah's best friend, Emily, had been her confidante and ally since they had met in college. Emily was a tall, athletic woman one year older than Sarah with a no-nonsense attitude and a sharp wit. Emily was fiercely loyal to Sarah and had always been there for her, through thick and thin. She had a no-filter approach to life and was not afraid to call Sarah out when she was being too hard on herself or not living up to her full potential. She was also a great listener and was always willing to lend an ear when Sarah needed to talk. One of the things that made their friendship so strong was their ability to be completely honest with each other. They could tell each other anything, even the things that were hard to say, and they always had each other's backs. Emily was often the voice of reason when Sarah was feeling overwhelmed or

Sarah exited Daniel's office, her head spinning with the weight of the proposal he had just offered her. A contract marriage, a deal with the devil himself. She had always known that her job as an investigative journalist would take her down some dark paths, but this was different. This was personal. As she stepped out into the warm afternoon sun, she took a deep breath and tried to clear her mind. She knew that she had to give Daniel an answer within the next 24 hours, but she also knew that she couldn't just jump into this blindly. She needed time to think, to weigh the pros and cons of such an arrangement. As she walked down the bustling New York City street, Sarah couldn't help but think about the potential implications of this deal. If she agreed to marry Daniel, she would gain access to all of his wealth and assets, which would be a huge boon for her upcoming article. But at what cost? She knew that a contract marriage was not a real marriage, and that she would be essentially
Sarah had been working late nights for several days, pouring over all of the information she had gathered about Daniel Blackwood. She had hit roadblock after roadblock, and it was starting to take a toll on her.As she sat in her office, surrounded by stacks of papers and notes, her phone rang. She picked it up, expecting it to be another source that had fallen through."Hello?" she answered wearily."Ms. Johnson, this is Daniel Blackwood's assistant, Mrs. Stakes.
