Sienna's P.O.V

"You are not being serious Dee,you know I can't lie like that much less to your parents. They know me to be your best friend and suddenly I become your girlfriend. What will they think? They'll think I'm some gold digging whore after your money" I whisper yell into the phone,

"please Sienna,you are the only one I trust. This is the only thing I'm asking of you. please don't deny me"he pleaded and I let out a sigh.

"okay, when is the dinner party again? And what about your brother, wouldn't he get suspicious of us?"I asked

"The dinner is tomorrow and don't worry about my brother,leave him to me" he says

"Gosh,you owe me big time"I say and he lets out a chuckle

"See you tomorrow and wear something pretty" he says before hanging up.

Now what am I going to do. I hope this doesn't turn out to be messy. 

I take the snacks to Nina and we continued our movie night.

When I woke up this morning the only thing on my mind was, what am I going to wear for the party. I had to look fancy because only rich people are going to be there. So I decided to take Nina along with me so I wouldn't feel lonely because I can't blend in. 

After taking my bath and doing all my morning routines, Nina and decided to the mall and look for something fancy to buy. 

We decided to use Nina car since the repair man brought it yesterday. 

When we got to mall,we went to some expensive shops just for windows shopping because there was no way we could afford something there.

After trying on some dresses and the price tugs exceeding our budget we decided to leave and finally go the reason why we came here.

Forever 21 

We know there, we'll get whatever we want at the right budget.

And we on lucky today because there was a sale off.

"Good morning my name is Chelsea and I'll be your attendant for shopping time" a very young and because black girl says.

"Thank you,we are actually looking for dinner dresses"I say 

"well , right this way"she says pointing to a rack of different beautiful dresses before leading us there.

We selected a few dresses and went to the changing room to try them on.

We asked Chelsea to be our judge and she was delighted. 

As we tried the dresses we began chat among ourselves and we got to know Chelsea better.

She is actually 22 and in finally year of nursing,she a foreign exchange student from Ghana and is working here to support herself. 

We invited her to hang out with us sometime and she gladly accepted. 

She even volunteered to make my hair for me since she was naturally gifted in hair styling department. 

We exchanged numbers and she told me she'll be there once she gets off work.

she incredibly fun and I love her accent. I'll probably visit Ghana when I have money.

Finally we found the perfect dress. Mine was a sea blue mermaid style strapless dress with pearls as design on them.

Nina found an olive green floral dress and suit her perfectly.

After cashing out we said our goodbyes and decided to go buy some food. 

On our way to the food parlour we found people gathering around chatting happily. 

"what is going on over there?"I asked and Nina shrugged

"I don't know let's check it out"she says and I agreed.

We went and saw a singing competition banner and winner get a 10000$ cash prize and two tickets to a Taylor swift concert with back stage passes.

I immediately look at Nina and she starts shaking her head.

"No,no,I know what you are thinking and i won't do it. You how I get when I face a crowd" she groans

" I know but look at the money,we can move out of our shitty apartment and you can even get the signing deal with a record music. Think about the opportunity , beside you don't have to even sing your original song,and we get to meet to meet Taylor swift" I shout shaking her happily

"Argh... Sienna please don't make me do this" she pleads but I'm not giving up.

I continue to persuade her until she finally gave and groan a fine. 

I immediately went and registered her name,she was the 5th person. I decided to wait for her turn to help her calm down her anxiety level.

After waiting for almost an hour the competition ,it finally her turn.

"You've got this girl" I tell before she was handed over the microphone.

"Hi..ermm.. good morning.... my name is Nina and I'll be singing rewrite the stars" she says in the microphone.

"Owwwhhh You go girl"I hyped her

She finished singing and everyone was clapping for.

I immediately run to hug her on the stage and man asked us to wait for the results.

"You did so great babe" I say and hug her again.

After waiting for another hour it was finally time to announce the winner.

Fingers crossed.

" Today we heard beautiful voice but only one of you will win. You all did great. Well I'm proudly announcing the winner and it is Nina Killian from NYU" the man says we jump shouting hugging each other.

She won. My best friend won.
