Chelsea shook her head. "No, Dad. I wanted a bowl of cereal with thick, creamy milk. But I wanted you to make it, not the nanny."
"Now?"
"No, not until Dedek is born," Chelsea's lips pouted.
"You're something else," Carlos chuckled a bit before heading to the kitchen to prepare Chelsea's order. Before cooking, of course, he needed to shower to feel clean and fresh. Technically, Carlos still had work to finish this morning, but his wife's request was his top priority now. It's better to fulfill the pregnant lady's wishes than risk her having cravings, as the saying goes.
While he was busily making cereal for Chelsea, the pregnant woman followed him to the kitchen. She hugged him from behind, resting her head on his back.
"Why did you take so long, Daddy? I'm hungry and can't wait to have my cereal."
"Well, you'll have to wait a bit. Daddy's just about to pour the milk into the cereal."
"But why is it taking so long?"
"It's not that long; it's just that you're impatient. Daddy's only been here for a few minutes, and you're already here complaining."
"Daddy..." Chelsea pouted, moving in front of Carlos and hugging her husband. "I miss you. Don't take too long."
Carlos could only laugh at how spoiled his wife was. That was Chelsea for you, unable to stay away from her husband for long, even when she was angry. Chelsea always hesitated to admit her mistakes because she knew Carlos didn't need apologies to mend any differences between them.
Carlos hugged Chelsea with one arm, planting a long kiss on the top of her head before continuing to prepare the cereal.
After the cereal was ready, Carlos carried Chelsea and placed her in a chair. He brushed her hair aside before sitting down in the empty chair next to his wife.
"Eat here or in the bedroom?"
"Here," Chelsea replied as she grabbed a spoon and started to enjoy the cereal Carlos had made. She described the taste as delicious and sweet.
"Darling, eat slowly, so you don't choke," Carlos advised as he wiped traces of milk from Chelsea's lips.
Chelsea turned and gave him a warm smile, and her narrowed eyes seemed to make Carlos shiver.
"Why are you looking at Daddy like that?"
Carlos blinked in surprise when Chelsea's gaze narrowed.
There are no words or even sounds. Chelsea grabbed Carlos' nape and kissed both of her husband's lips. Sniffled softly, and ended up with her sitting on Carlos' lap.
Glancing at the clock hanging on the wall, it was still five in the morning, so it was impossible for Vano to go downstairs for breakfast. As a result, Carlos untied three buttons on Chelsea's pajamas. Just cup the two circles which are getting denser.
Chelsea moaned between their hot kisses. Sighed, when Carlos' wet lips trailed down. Suck the white skin of his neck. Ends in a solid circle.
"Dad, go to the room," whispered Chelsea, she couldn't wait to be entered by Carlos who was starting to squirm. Carlos nodded and carried Chelsea towards the room. The woman seemed unable to wait long, so she left wet trails on Carlos' ears and neck.
"Honey, you're going to fall," scolded Carlos, who started to sway because Chelsea didn't stop teasing him. This was answered with a small laugh which made Carlos even more impatient to sit his wife in the room.
What a happy life Chelsea lives. Having a husband who always follows what he wants. Giving up all the love he had for himself. This is what Margaret really dreamed of when Carlos proposed to her.
Margareth's face turned red when she saw how Carlos had been sipping Carlos' balls. So passionate and full of desire. Margareth had always imagined Carlos' big hand cupping her breast, but it never came true even though she had tried many ways to tease him.
Annoyed to death, Margareth promised herself that she would take away Chelsea's happiness without Vano or Carlos being able to reply.
Chelsea refused when Carlos wanted to put her on the bed. And instead asked the man to lie there. Still wondering what Chelsea meant by this, because since being pregnant, his wife has never led a game again.
"Honey," moaned Carlos. When he entered Chelsea's mouth, even though not all of it, his wife still tried to swallow Carlos, occasionally turning to Carlos' two toys that were hanging there.
The man's body stiffened. Not letting Chelsea work alone. As a result he grabbed Chelsea's leg and led it to open. Chelsea did so, so that Carlos could freely bury his face in Chelsea's base. Take a deep sip and stab with the tongue.
"Pa," whispered Chelsea. Unable to hold back, he changed position and guided Carlos, who had stiffened, to his wet core.
"Don't, he'll get sick."
Carlos hurriedly held Chelsea's hips so they didn't fall. The woman nodded her head, then lay down waiting for Carlos to finish their game. In fact, he already missed Carlos so quickly and deeply, but their future baby was very important at the moment so he would obey what Carlos wanted.
Resting on the head of the bed, Carlos entered, moving very slowly to grip the head of the bed with his hands as he felt Chelsea's massage. He also squeezed the solid circle while kissing both of his wife's lips. Chelsea groaned feeling the pleasure that overwhelmed her. So slowly, but the pleasure could still ravage his body.
It took quite a long time in and out for Carlos to finally give Chelsea satisfaction, then he himself moved and achieved pleasure for himself too.
"Is Daddy ready to go to Celine's house?" Chelsea asked as Carlos released himself from her embrace.
"Whether I'm ready or not, I have to be prepared to meet Celine's parents because that's the process for Celine and Vano's wedding," Carlos replied.
"I'll definitely accompany you, Daddy."
"Thank you, dear." Carlos held Chelsea close. If it weren't for Chelsea, the plan for Vano and Celine's wedding might not have come together. One month had passed since Carlos first met Celine, and Vano had been contemplating during this time.
Should he proceed or not? Celine's behavior had not angered him in the slightest, and Vano had given her many chances. Furthermore, Celine had changed a lot in the past month. She was more understanding and compliant with Vano's wishes, so there was no harm in giving her a chance. Today was the day Carlos would propose to Celine, and it was also the first day he would meet the person who had taken his late wife's life.
Celine couldn't hide her happiness as their engagement and Vano's proposal day finally arrived. After more than five years of being in a relationship, Celine had also tried to make peace with the fact that Chelsea had helped bring them together, so she made an effort not to show any resentment towards her.
Although she couldn't help but feel jealous when she saw Chelsea's pregnant belly, she didn't want to show it, fearing it might upset Vano and jeopardize their engagement. Celine couldn't control her own heart, and now it beat faster and almost felt like it would burst from her chest when she saw Vano's car and entourage entering the driveway. She hurriedly ran to meet her parents and let them know that Carlos and Vano had arrived. Celine's parents exchanged glances, trying to support each other and hide something from their future son-in-law.
Celine, aware of her father's reaction, tried to ignore it, not wanting to discuss it because today was the happiest day of her life. The same went for Carlos; his body felt weak as he looked at the house where he had once come to inquire about his late wife's death. Now, Carlos was here not out of revenge and hatred but to establish a bond that would last a lifetime. He also tried to accept Celine as his daughter-in-law, convincing himself that if his late wife's death had any foul play involved, Celine had nothing to do with it, making it easier for him to accept her as Vano's future wife.
The atmosphere turned awkward as Carlos entered the luxurious house, but fortunately, Chelsea was by his side, holding his hand, giving him strength as if to say that everything would be fine. There could be no more grudges because Celine had not been involved in the past issues.
Celine's father warmly welcomed Carlos, embracing him and hugging him.
"Welcome to our home, future son-in-law," he said as if there were no issues between them in the past.
Carlos followed suit in how he welcomed their gesture, expressing his heartfelt gratitude to ensure that the engagement ceremony would proceed smoothly. Everyone gathered to witness the exchange of rings between Celine and Vano. Smiles of happiness adorned their faces, showcasing how thrilled they were to continue their relationship to the next level: marriage.
After exchanging rings, Carlos and Celine's parents began discussing the right time for their children's wedding. It might have seemed rushed, but Carlos agreed when Celine's father suggested that two weeks from now would be the perfect time for the wedding. Laughter and jokes filled the spacious living room as they welcomed the decision and wedding date for Celine and Vano.
However, there was one girl at the top of the stairs who had been reluctant to come down and witness her cousin's engagement because she secretly wanted Vano for herself. It was none other than Amber, who felt comfortable every time she talked and interacted with Vano. They had grown closer over time, especially when Vano needed guidance with his thesis. Their bond had deepened, but Amber didn't want to show Vano that she liked everything about him. Her love was genuine and devoid of any coercion.
The engagement and proposal event went on for quite some time. At exactly 11:00 PM, the event had to be disbanded as Chelsea couldn't stay outside for long. She easily grew tired with so many activities. For the sake of the health of their unborn child, Carlos bid farewell to Celine's parents.
An interesting development occurred when Amber suddenly asked Vano for a ride, claiming that her car wouldn't start. Celine was hesitant to let Amber leave with Vano, but she didn't want to engage in an argument that could jeopardize her wedding with Vano. So, she gave Amber permission to leave with Vano, hoping her cousin wouldn't repeat the same mistakes as before.
Summoning all the courage she had, Amber pointed out a grilled corn vendor on the roadside, asking Vano to stop and enjoy some grilled corn.
At first, Vano hesitated, but Amber reassured him that it wouldn't take long for them to enjoy the grilled corn. While waiting for their order, Vano chose to stay in the car and didn't step out because Celine had sent him a message. It was a casual message just to make sure Vano and Amber weren't making multiple stops. Here, Vano was forced to lie to Celine, saying he was driving and couldn't keep responding to her messages, fearing that it would lead to an accident. So, Celine stopped sending messages to Vano and told him to come straight home without making any detours. She also reminded him to contact her when he arrived home.
"I usually like mine extra spicy. How about you?" Amber handed Vano a plastic bag containing three different flavors of grilled corn.
Vano tugged at the corners of his lips. "I only like the salty ones."
"Well, then this is for you," Amber handed the grilled corn to Vano. Both of them silently enjoyed the grilled corn, and when Amber looked at Vano, she noticed a small piece of corn on the corner of his lip.
Bravely, she reached out her hand to remove the corn. Vano caught her wrist.
"Sorry, the corn spilled. You remind me of my four-year-old niece when she's eating corn. She makes a mess everywhere," Amber joked to lighten the mood.
Vano rubbed his neck. "You could say that."
He placed the corn back in its place. He stared at Amber, who was still gazing at him. Somehow, they locked eyes, and it reached a point where Amber tilted her head and reached for Vano's neck.
In response, Vano spoke up, "Amber."
Amber diverted her gaze elsewhere. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to—"
"Why? Don't you know I'm Celine's fiancé?"
"I know, but unfortunately, my heart doesn't want to accept that and wants to have you." Vano raised his eyebrows, surprised by Amber's confession. It was astonishing how honest she was about wanting him, even though he and Celine had just become engaged.
70Although her relationship with Margareth wasn't good, Carlos still involved the woman in preparing Vano and Celine's wedding. Unfortunately, Margareth didn't want to follow Carlos' invitation. She had started to become disgusted by the intimacy displayed between Chelsea and Carlos in the house, but she also didn't want to leave Carlos's residence because she felt it was still her rightful place to stay. She also wasn't ready to leave before settling all her grudges with Chelsea. Margareth wouldn't leave until she saw Chelsea in tears, which is why, while everyone was busy preparing for Vano and Celine's wedding, Margareth wandered around with Kevin looking for clients to support herself, as Chelsea only allocated her two million per week.Even that money handed over to Margareth was money she requested from Carlos for that woman. If Chelsea had been honest with her husband, she could have still received her monthly allowance, but Chelsea didn't want to deceive Carlos and wasn't ope
71"There's no reason for me to leave you, Darling." Carlos pinched Chelsea's chin. "All the perfection of a woman is in you, so there's no reason for me to waste the perfection of a wife like you. Moreover..." Carlos knelt in front of Chelsea and pressed his ear to her belly. "Soon, we'll be parents. How perfect is this happiness for me.""Of course. Because you're a good man, patient, and you know how to treat a wife.""I'm like this because my wife is an amazing person. So we complement each other, making us a perfectly perfect couple." Chelsea couldn't find words to respond to all of Carlos' sweet words, she could only wipe away the tears that flowed at the corners of her eyes. Carlos responded with a tight hug."Today feels so heavy, my Love. It's as if something will be missing from my life, I don't know what, but it feels like my chest is so tight, and I'm afraid of losing something," Carlos expressed what had been bothering him since he started packing early this morning. He d
72"Daddy, where's Mama?" Vano asked, following Carlos, who stood at the doorway. He scanned the room, looking for his wife among the extended family gathered for Vano and Celine's wedding."Mama, what do you mean? Didn't your mom enter with you and the others earlier?" Carlos responded."Yes, but Auntie said Mama left with Margareth. She said you asked for it, Daddy.""I never asked for anything, I swear! Wait a minute." Carlos paused. "That means Chelsea and Margareth left in a car?""Yes, she said there was...""Margareth, damn it!" Carlos cursed as he rushed out of the room, with Vano following closely behind."Why, Dad?" Vano tried to keep up with Carlos."Why did you let Margareth take Chelsea with her? She's clearly a madwoman, and you all were so careless.""I'm sorry, Dad."Vano and Carlos hurried to the car, chasing after Margareth and Chelsea. They hoped that this foreboding feeling was something only they experienced."Van, why did you leave? What about our wedding!?" Celi
73Vano was busy tending to everything for Chelsea. He also dealt with Margareth's funeral arrangements, even though she was the cause of Chelsea losing her unborn child. Despite his immense hatred, Carlos couldn't hold onto his anger towards Margareth forever. He needed to let it all go and focus on Chelsea's recovery. Especially since, up to this point, his wife had yet to awaken, despite 13 hours of intensive care.Exhausted, but determined to push his weariness aside, Vano took charge of everything. It was impossible for Carlos to do it all alone. The mere thought of facing life with Chelsea's continued unconsciousness weighed heavily on him.Celine approached Vano in the hospital lobby, voicing her frustration, "Why couldn't you be reached at all? I tried calling you multiple times and sent you messages!"Vano, who had just arrived from home with fresh clothes for his parents, halted in his tracks. He regarded Celine with a sardonic look, surprised that she would raise complaints
74“Uncle, Vano's mother didn't die in a regular accident. She collaborated with the former driver who used to work for you. They sabotaged the car, causing the brakes to fail, which led to the accident.Regarding all the manipulation done by Celine's father, I'm not entirely sure about the details, but what I do know is that Celine's father intentionally chased after Vano's mother, making it impossible for her to avoid the accident. It's no wonder, given that the car's brakes were no longer functioning.""Do you have any evidence?" Carlos asked. Amber quickly nodded and reached into her bag, handing a mobile phone to Carlos."I recorded their conversation this morning when Celine said she would marry Vano today. It can be used as evidence to prosecute Celine's father. And just so you know, this marriage was intentionally arranged so that he could gain control over Vano and his company. He believes that Vano is deeply in love with Celine, so automatically, his son would do anything fo
75Chelsea didn't respond; she simply cried, releasing the pain and disappointment that had mingled within her. She also touched her no longer swollen belly, everything gone, taken away so cruelly by Margaret."Sis, please, don't do this to me! I'm not ready to get married!" protested Alexa, entering Chelsea's hospital room, startling the embracing couple. There, behind them, stood a middle-aged man who had been following them around, the two young people who were supposed to be getting married, but instead were arguing."Please, you need to understand, Lex. I want us to get married. Aren't you concerned about that man, Dad? He's been chasing us relentlessly. Aren't you tired of following me around?"Alexa shook her head, trying to retrieve her phone from Vano's grasp."I don't care who that man is; all I know is you'd better return my phone. I want to tell my mom that you're just joking. There's no way the dowry is that large. I don't like jokes like this.""I'm not joking, that's wh
76"But, Ma'am, I can't get married because I have so much land mortgaged and debts everywhere for my education. My parents have been working hard to support my education, causing my younger siblings to be neglected in the process.""You don't need to worry about the debts and mortgaged land. My husband will pay them off for you. And please don't think of this as a business transaction; it's not. There's one issue that I can't mention right now. I wonder why Vano is so eager and pushing you to marry him. As far as I remember, before I lost consciousness after the accident, Vano's wedding with his girlfriend had already been prepared. I even visited the bride's house to officiate the marriage. I don't know what happened; suddenly, I woke up in this hospital. I had to accept the fact that my unborn child was gone and heard that Vano's wedding with his girlfriend had failed. He chose you as his future wife, which means you must be a very special person for my son."Alexa tightly closed h
77Vano simply nodded, unable to utter a word, as he knew that his father was right. Marriage was not something to be taken lightly, even if it had been rushed. He feared that Celine might return and plead to continue their marriage. And indeed, as the afternoon approached, Alexa came to Chelsea's room to bid farewell to everyone before heading back to her rented place. Although she hadn't fully accepted the marriage, she still considered Vano her husband, so saying goodbye to her husband and in-laws was not a bad thing. However, upon entering the room, she was surprised to see a girl kneeling in front of Vano, begging him to continue their marriage."Excuse me, but I am already married to someone else. I've been in a relationship with her for a while, even without an official status, but I feel she's suitable to be my wife," Vano stated as he looked at Alexa, who was hesitating at the threshold of Chelsea's room."Darling, come here. You don't need to hesitate like this. You're my wi
Gibran continued, "As for our divorce, I've already agreed to it. We'll proceed with the legal process, and you'll be free to start a new chapter in your life. I hope you find the happiness you deserve."The conversation between Viska and Gibran marked the beginning of the end of their tumultuous marriage. While their emotions were still raw, they had come to a mutual understanding that it was time to move on and seek happiness elsewhere.Gibran's frustration and pent-up emotions poured out as he defended his actions. He felt betrayed by Viska, who had consistently pushed him away and made unfavorable comparisons with Nicholas. Their relationship had become a battleground of insecurities, and Gibran had sought solace with Shabila.Viska's accusations stung, but Gibran was determined to make her understand the context of his actions. He continued, "Viska, I don't want to justify what I did, but it was a result of our broken marriage. We both contributed to its downfall. I needed someth
190"Also," Bryan paused, kissing Silvi's lips briefly."Don't forget that the night we were together, I can assure you, it's my child."Silvi shook her head. "It's not Devin's child. Do you think after that night, I didn't do anything with other men? Did you really think that night was the only time someone touched me? No, there have been many other nights with so many men because I felt like I wasn't pure anymore. So I was free to do it with anyone since my life was already a mess.""S-so... instead of slightly more ruining myself, and the last time it was done to me was by Devin. That's why he's willing to take responsibility. He's also convinced that this is his child."Bryan let out a bitter laugh, releasing Silvi from his embrace. "Is that so?" He loosened his tie, which had felt suffocating after hearing Silvi's explanation. "Let's prove that what you said is true." He took off the suit jacket that clung to his body.“W-what are you doing?” Silvi stepped back. Hugging her own b
189"No way! I won't leave until I meet Gibran. He has to take responsibility for this child," Shabila insisted, refusing to budge. She held onto Viska and stood her ground."Leave, I said! Go!"Viska couldn't bear Shabila's stubbornness and forcefully pulled her arm, nearly causing Shabila to stumble."What's wrong with you!" Shabila pushed away Viska's hand and fixed her disheveled hair. "Are you afraid your husband's actions will be known to your parents? Or is it that you refuse to accept the truth?" Shabila began to rant."I don't understand what you're saying. Now leave!" Viska demanded."Wait, Viska! Mom wants to ask this woman something." Viska's mother restrained her daughter and turned to Shabila. "Why did you let my granddaughter get pregnant? Don't you know he's already married? What do you want from us? Money?"Shabila seethed with anger. Her dignity felt insulted when the middle-aged woman mentioned money."Do you think I'm a lowly woman who just surrenders her body to a
188Shabila spent the whole day in frustration, angry that she couldn't meet Gibran at his cafe. She paced back and forth in her room, thinking of ways to meet him."Do you think you can avoid me forever? You won't be able to, Gibran. I have to make you take responsibility for the child I'm carrying. You won't be able to escape. Just wait and see."Shabila clenched her fists, planning a thousand ways to meet Gibran. "If I can't find you at the cafe, I'll come to your house. Let's see if you can still avoid me," she muttered to herself.Gibran decided to visit the club where he had met Shabila some time ago. He had a bad feeling about Shabila's visit to his cafe and wanted to find out what had really happened between them that night. Honestly, Gibran didn't remember much because he had been heavily intoxicated that night.Upon arriving at the club, Gibran called one of the waitresses and conveyed his request to meet with the club's owner."I'd like to discuss something important with y
187"What brand would you like, Miss?" The employee asked while displaying several different brands of pregnancy tests.Shabila looked puzzled, which only fueled the employee's suspicions. "Is this your first time buying a pregnancy test?" she guessed with a condescending glance."Y-yes," Shabila replied hesitantly. Seeing the employee looking down on her, Shabila's heart began to boil. "I am already married, just so you know. Here's my ID," she said abruptly, opening her wallet and showing her ID card, which still stated her marital status as MARRIED. Her divorce from Arya was only religious; it wasn't legally recognized yet.Seeing the ID placed on the counter, the pharmacy employee became flustered. She was torn between embarrassment and guilt. "I'm s-sorry, Miss, I didn't mean to—""It's fine, I understand!" Shabila retorted sharply, then pointed towards the pregnancy tests. "So, which one is the best?" she asked. She deliberately didn't want to prolong the issue since she wanted
186Several days had passed, and today was the ceremonial bath event for Silvi. Everything was well-prepared, and the guests were moved by the event, which was expertly guided by the paid organizers, arranged by Silvi's parents. Silvi's large family wore matching light green kebaya, while Devin's family, who were present, wore light blue kebaya. The event was conducted with great solemnity, and Silvi looked beautiful despite wearing makeup that wasn't too flashy. This ceremony included many symbols and motifs that served as lessons or guidelines for the couple, influencing their married life. These symbols or motifs mainly conveyed advice and useful insights for the newlyweds' life together. That's why Mama Silvi insisted on holding the ceremonial bath event, even though Silvi and Devin had been married before. In addition to the food ordered for the guests and relatives, the organizers had prepared specific dishes usually served during this ceremonial bath event. These included tumpe
185Meanwhile, Silvi and Devin listened to the doctor's explanations during the examination. Silvi's pregnancy was already at three weeks. The doctor prescribed vitamins and anti-nausea medication since Silvi mentioned she often felt dizzy and nauseous. Devin didn't ask any questions because it was his first time in a obstetrician's office. He was confused about how to react. Silvi was the one who asked all the questions.Silvi got her next appointment scheduled, and then they left. Devin and Silvi went to the hospital's pharmacy to pick up the prescribed medicines first. Then, Devin asked Silvi where she wanted to go."I don't know. I just feel like lying down in my room.""Why's that? Don't you want to go out together?" Devin asked softly. They were now in the car. "How about having ice cream and buying some new sleepwear for you?""What's the point of buying sleepwear?""Because you're pregnant, and I want you to sleep comfortably. How about it?""I don't want to," Silvi said, maki
184As a father, whose heart wouldn't break upon learning that his daughter is pregnant with no official partner by her side? He felt like a terrible father, willing to do anything as long as the man who impregnated his daughter, Silvi, would take responsibility.Pregnancy is never an easy journey for a woman, especially without a husband by her side. The man Silvi referred to as the father finally decided to find Devin, the man who should be held accountable for what happened to Silvi. He took a taxi to Devin's whereabouts, hoping that he would indeed be there. Impatiently sitting in the taxi, the weary-looking man, no longer in his youth, stared at his phone screen. The journey from the city to the village was quite long, which was why he opted for a taxi. Besides, he didn't want any unpleasant conversations about Silvi if he had brought his driver along.Fortunately, he found out about Silvi's pregnancy before it was too late, or who knows what might have happened. He sighed wearil
183Nicholas didn't want anything to happen to their unborn child. So, he tried his best to grant her wishes. Besides, Alesya's request was relatively easy to fulfill, and it had been quite some time since they had visited her hometown."Are you happy?" Nicholas asked.Alesya turned and nodded. "I've really missed my hometown. As nice as it is to live in the city, the hometown is the number one place to visit," Alesya replied. "Besides, all my childhood memories are buried there."Hearing Alesya's response, Nicholas could only smile. He, who had lived in the city since childhood, never experienced life in the village. So, he didn't fully understand what Alesya meant. In his mind, Alesya might just miss the peaceful atmosphere of the village because the city was quite noisy."Get some rest; I'll wake you up when we arrive," Nicholas said after a moment of silence."Okay."Alesya adjusted her seating position to make herself more comfortable. She also slightly reclined her seat to make
