13.
Chelsea nodded as Vano signaled her using his index finger, drawing it across his left index finger. That was the final code Vano gave Chelsea before she shouted in the kitchen.
"Help me!" Chelsea yelled repeatedly until Carlos came rushing.
Their household assistant heard Chelsea's cries and hurried over, but Vano stared at them sharply and signaled for her to step back.
"Can you check on Chelsea in the kitchen, see what's wrong?" Carlos asked.
Instead of obeying his father's request, Vano got up from his seat.
"Just wait a moment, Dad. I have a stomachache. Instead of helping Chelsea, I might end up soiling myself." Vano rushed out of the dining room.
Reluctantly, Carlos paused his breakfast to check on Chelsea in the kitchen.
"What happened?" Carlos approached Chelsea, who was holding her left hand.
"My hand got scratched by a knife, and I'm afraid of blood." Chelsea's panicked expression was clear as she closed her eyes, as if she couldn't bear to see the blood flowing from her index finger.
Quickly, Carlos took Chelsea's hand and guided her to the sink. He washed it clean with running water and wrapped it with a bandage that was conveniently nearby.
"There you go." Carlos pulled the corners of his lips into a reassuring smile.
"Thank you, Uncle." Chelsea hurriedly hugged Carlos before he left.
"You're welcome." Carlos ruffled Chelsea's hair, trying hard to suppress something when he felt a round, elastic object touch his chest.
"What are you two doing!" Margareth snapped, slightly annoyed to see Chelsea and Carlos hugging.
Margareth couldn't hide her frustration and anger, now mixed into one. She saw Carlos and Chelsea hugging in the kitchen without anyone else around.
However, Margareth tried to conceal her discomfort, not wanting Carlos to know about any negative aspects of her personality.
"Explain what made you hug Chelsea in the kitchen, Carlos! As a woman, I'm jealous, and as a mother, I question this." Margareth posed a stern question to Carlos, fearing that Chelsea was trying to steal her sweetheart. Carlos, still handsome in his mid-forties, would undoubtedly charm anyone with his charisma.
Moreover, Carlos had fantastic wealth. "I didn't do anything to Chelsea. I just helped her treat her wound. I was going to ask Vano for help, but he had already left. He said he had a stomachache," Carlos explained according to the actual facts.
"Treating Chelsea's wound? How big of a wound did that girl have that you had to go through all this trouble?"
"Not too big, just a scratch on her index finger. But Chelsea said she's afraid of blood, so I quickly helped her. Although the wound wasn't too severe, if left untreated, it could have gotten worse."
"W-what? Chelsea is afraid of blood? Is that true?" Margareth was alarmed. "As far as I know, she doesn't have any phobias, because Chelsea is a brave girl. Could it be that this is just an excuse for you to hug my daughter?" Margareth was still convinced by her intuition that Chelsea and Carlos had more than just a casual acquaintance.
"I swear on anything, Margareth, I never even thought in that direction, because I love you, not your daughter."
"Come on, that's just what you're saying. Just admit that you're interested in my wife because she's younger and more attractive, of course."
Carlos chuckled, teasing Margareth for her negative thoughts. "You've only been living in my house for one day, and you're already thinking all these things. What if you stay here for a month? It'll probably get worse. And just so you know, you're not even allowed to glance at Chelsea. If you need to know, Margareth, it's true that my love for you is strong, but if I'm constantly suspected like this, I won't be able to handle it. And since Chelsea will become part of our family, that means she and I will only get closer."
Margareth rolled her eyes lazily, hearing Brun's defense. It was true that Chelsea was arranged to marry Vano, but it didn't mean the girl could be close to her sweetheart. Anyway, Carlos could marry Chelsea because they weren't related by blood.
"Fine, let's leave it at that. I'm warning you, this is the last time you'll be close to Chelsea, especially hugging her." Margareth got up and left the living room. That's where they had argued so Chelsea and Vano wouldn't hear.
With each firm step thudding on the floor, Margareth headed to the dining room. Arguing with Carlos had only made her hungrier. In the dining room, she found Vano and Chelsea engrossed in conversation. They seemed so comfortable and close, as if they had known each other for a long time, not just recently acquainted.
"Aunt, you see how comfortable and compatible you are talking with Chelsea." Margareth made small talk as she sat down beside Chelsea. Vano only nodded and slightly raised the corners of his lips, continuing to enjoy the delicious chicken soup that tingled on his taste buds.
This time, Vano gave Chelsea's cooking a perfect 10 out of 10. He admitted that Chelsea's cooking was almost as good as the dishes made by his late mother.
"Instead of being close like this without any commitment, how about getting engaged first?" Margareth offered, as if in a hurry to ask Vano and Chelsea to get married. This idea caught Vano off guard, and he nearly choked on the rice he was eating.
"W-what did you say, Aunt? But, with Chelsea?" he protested. "I accept you and Chelsea being here, but that doesn't mean you can dictate my life. Whether we end up together or not is not your concern, and I remind you again, no one can dictate my life. Not even you, Aunt, let alone Dad. Don't let this lead me to kick you out of the house." Vano, annoyed, put his spoon down in his bowl and reached for his bag on the chair.
He left Margareth stunned by his reaction. To be honest, the middle-aged woman was surprised by Vano's response. At first, she thought Vano was a polite child, but it turned out that he had no manners at all when he got offended.
"Don't blame Vano for being impolite to you." Carlos immediately interrupted when he saw that Margareth was about to speak. He didn't know what the woman was going to say, but he didn't want anyone to speak ill of his son.
"If you treated Vano as a friend, he wouldn't have acted that way. If it's so wrong to immediately pressure Vano into getting engaged with Chelsea, especially since they just met. If they were close, you should be grateful, because that means it's easy for Chelsea to win Vano's heart. But don't rush like this, because Vano can't be forced at all."
Once again, Margareth felt annoyed hearing Carlos' explanation, so she got up from her seat and abandoned her breakfast. Suddenly, she felt full because Carlos had been scolding her all the time.
First, it was because of Chelsea, and now it was about Vano. It seemed as though Margareth felt as if she wasn't liked there.
"Uncle doesn't need to follow Mom. Let Mom be alone for now. She'll meet you again later," Chelsea prevented Carlos from going after her as she noticed Margareth's steps.
Originally, she wanted to apologize because she had been rebuking what the woman had said.
"Mom is the type of woman who likes to sulk. She wants to be coaxed but doesn't want to admit she's wrong. So just let her introspect herself. When she's tired, I'm sure she'll come see you again."
Carlos turned to Chelsea, and the girl casually held his wrist. "We better have breakfast first. I'm sure you're hungry, Uncle. Let's finish your breakfast first."
Carlos sighed deeply, sitting back down. He admitted that what Chelsea said was true. Margareth often sulked and was a bit selfish, wanting everyone to listen only to her words, while others had to follow her rules.
"Chelsea, what are your plans while you're on break from school?" Carlos started small talk with Chelsea, as they had been silent for a while.
Chelsea, who wasn't yet fully acquainted with Carlos' personality, was being cautious in her approach. She was afraid that she might not be able to win Carlos' heart, but instead might make him averse to her.
"None, Uncle. Probably just studying at home."
"Instead of staying home, why not come to the office with me? Besides, you can learn how to manage the company, considering that your mother might marry me in the future." Out of nowhere, Vano suddenly appeared next to Carlos and grabbed the untouched hot chocolate.
All this because of Margareth, who casually arranged his life. Carlos nodded his head.
"It seems like what Vano said is true. While you have some free time, let's go to the office together."
"Really?" Chelsea tried to put on a cheerful face, happy about Carlos' offer. Even though she had initially rejected the job offer.
But this time, she agreed because of the pleading look from Vano.
"Well, then you might as well start packing, Chelsea. Papa will be leaving for the office soon." Vano glanced at his watch. "I also need to say goodbye, Dad. I'm going to campus."
"Alright, if that's the case." Carlos extended his hand so Vano could kiss the back of it. "Take care!"
Meanwhile, Chelsea could only grin broadly, feeling increasingly embarrassed about being close to Carlos. It wasn't because she was falling in love with him, no.
However, her mind went back to the idea of getting close to Carlos to make him fall in love, and she felt uneasy about it if they were to be constantly close.
Still in shock from the incident in the kitchen earlier, now Margareth had to face another surprise as she was about to leave her room. She froze and stared in disbelief as she saw both Chelsea and Carlos getting ready to leave.
"Where are you going?" Margareth asked, trying to suppress the anger that was about to consume her whole body.
"I'm heading to the office, and I'm taking Chelsea with me. She will be Vano's wife. Of course, she should be involved in learning how to manage the company. To be honest, I'm tired of working from morning until evening, dealing with the files that keep coming to my desk. So, instead of being frustrated alone, I might as well teach Chelsea a lot of things. It's a good idea, isn't it?"
Margareth wanted to open her mouth to reject Carlos' proposal, but he had already raised his hand.
"Just agree with what I say because Vano himself ordered it."
"Really?" Margareth couldn't believe it because as far as she knew, Vano hadn't fully accepted their presence yet.
"Of course, when have I ever lied to you, Margareth?" She had to reluctantly agree. Within 24 hours of being in the house, it seemed like Margareth had become the second person and Chelsea the primary focus for Carlos.
She wanted to protest again, but the two incidents earlier made her hesitant to express her opinions, as Carlos would not accept any objection. And he used Vano as an excuse.
"Before you leave, if I may, I want to protest Chelsea's outfit." Margareth tried to remain patient, but seeing the clothes Chelsea was wearing slightly disturbed her peace of mind.
"What's wrong with my outfit, Mom?" Chelsea asked, pretending to be innocent and not understanding anything. Even though she knew her skirt was much above the knee and the shirt she was wearing showed off her figure.
"That skirt, isn't there anything shorter than that?" Margareth remarked, pointing to Chelsea's skirt.
Chelsea shook her head. "It's not that there's nothing shorter, Mom. But Vano chose this outfit for me. He said he likes girls who dress fashionably like this, so to win Vano's heart, I have to follow all the rules he sets. Isn't that right, Uncle?" Now Chelsea turned to Carlos.
Carlos, who indeed felt that Chelsea was dressing more boldly than when they first met, sensed that something was off. However, for Chelsea's comfort, Carlos didn't make an issue out of it. He was initially relieved that Margareth was scolding her daughter, but after hearing Chelsea's response, Carlos supported whatever the girl wanted.
"As long as it's Vano who requested it, just let it be. After all, Vano will be her husband." Carlos ruffled Chelsea's hair, only further fueling Margareth's resentment towards her daughter.
"Yes, let's stop arguing. It's still early, and it's not good." Carlos curled his lips into a smile. "Alright then, the two of us will say goodbye. Take care of the house, okay? Just relax at home, no need to do too much."
"I'm going to the salon later, dear. I'm bored being at home all the time," Margareth grumbled. Carlos still didn't quite understand what she wanted.
He should have realized that Margareth wanted to be hugged and have her forehead kissed like any other husband and wife would do. It was quite presumptuous of her, demanding so much so early in their relationship, but that's what Margareth wanted. In her pursuit of that desire, she wanted to bind Carlos so tightly that he wouldn't have any reason to stay away from her.
"Whatever you want, go wherever you please. I'll transfer the shopping money later." Without saying anything else, Carlos motioned for Chelsea to walk ahead, leaving Margareth feeling completely isolated at the moment.
"Just watch, I'll make sure Chelsea and Vano do something improper soon so that they'll hurry up and get married." That was the promise Margareth echoed in her heart, hoping to marry Carlos soon. If Chelsea and Vano were already married, it meant that she and Carlos could also get married since one of the conditions Vano had set was that Carlos could marry once he was married himself.
14. "For the time being, your workspace with Daddy will be the same so that Daddy can check and supervise your work. So, if there are any doubts or questions, you don't need to keep going back and forth just to ask," Chelsea nodded, glancing briefly at Carlos. "So, we'll be working at the same desk like this, Uncle?""Yes, for the time being until there's a spare office boy to deliver a desk and chair for you. And by the way, I'd like to mention that you don't need to call me Uncle anymore, but Daddy, okay?" Carlos raised both his eyebrows.Chelsea smiled and nodded. "Of course, what's not for Daddy," she replied in a soft and seductive voice, making Carlos tempted to just hug Chelsea right now. While waiting for Carlos to discuss what Chelsea could do to help him at the office.Of course, they were just having a casual conversation, and Chelsea responded as usual. But after receiving a text message from Vano, Chelsea reacted immediately. The man asked Chelsea to get closer to her fa
14But there was still a chance, right? Celine just had to be patient a little longer until their hope became a reality."To be honest, Van, I'm exhausted with all of this, especially since your dad always follows me everywhere I go, sending people to spy on me to find out if we're in a relationship or not. I no longer feel comfortable," Celine lamented as she pulled away from his embrace. "Having a clandestine relationship on campus like this has worn me out, and having to hide every time I want to meet you is even worse. Just imagine for a moment what it feels like to be me. My family is pressuring me to get married, as you know, I'm of an age to have a husband. I also don't want your dad to change his mind and end up pairing me with someone else. Do you think you're the only one burdened by this issue? I am too."For many years, they had been living together without approval, and every day was haunted by fear. Fear that Vano wouldn't be her destiny. The wall between them was so hig
16Just by observing how Vano fought relentlessly for Celine, willing to do anything, Carlos had a bad feeling. He didn't want Vano and Celine's marriage to bring a catastrophe for the second time. Carlos didn't want his son to become the next victim, as he believed that the grudge from the past still lingered.Recalling that ever since his rival Celine's father lost the business battle, his company had almost gone bankrupt and was still struggling to survive. If it weren't for financial injections from others, the company would have crumbled and gone bankrupt."It feels challenging to bring up those bitter memories, but perhaps it's time for me to share it all with you," Carlos said seriously, looking at Chelsea. This time, he would open up about his painful past to Chelsea, even though he had been in a serious relationship with Margareth. Still, he had no intention of sharing his wounds and grudges. However, for some reason, when Chelsea asked what the issue was with giving his bles
"17 "We don't need to use the driver on the way home, Dad. Who knows, on the way, I might want to make a detour."Once again, Chelsea surprised Carlos when they reached the lobby of the office building."But, you said you were tired earlier?""Well, who knows, I might want to stop and buy ice cream to relax a bit, or something like that? You know how the mindset of a fickle teenager like me works."Carlos chuckled softly. "You're right, indeed. Okay, then. I'll request a ride-sharing service, and we'll go home together."Carlos quickly grabbed his phone and called the driver who was waiting in the parking lot. He was prepared to be driven home as usual, as he was tired from work. However, this time, because of Chelsea's request, Carlos was willing to drive himself home.As soon as they reached the car, Chelsea seemed to be thinking about how to captivate the handsome widower who was now focusing on driving. An insane idea crossed her mind, and she unbuttoned her shirt, which had been
18"Not yet, Aunt. I'm not sleepy yet; there's an assignment I wanted to ask Chelsea, but apparently, she doesn't understand the task. And, I apologize, but we can chat tomorrow."Vano interrupted before Margareth could engage in small talk with her future stepson."Let Vano rest," Carlos intervened, stopping Margareth in her tracks.Margareth turned and grumbled in frustration at Carlos's intervention, feeling somewhat sidelined in her own home, even though she had been the first to capture Carlos's heart."But, Carlos, I still want to ask Vano something," she said, grabbing his hand. "Wait, Van. What are you doing alone in Chelsea's room at this hour? Why are you coming out of that room so late?"Vano shrugged and started to leave, not forgetting to take his father with him.Margareth couldn't hold back any longer, so she entered Chelsea's room."What was Vano doing here?""Nothing, just discussing campus matters, and it got late, so he went back to his room.""Only that?""Yes.""O
19"It's hot, Dad," Chelsea complained as she fanned the coffee stain on her outfit."Oh my... you weren't careful. It was clearly hot, but you still grabbed it," Carlos led Chelsea to a nearby room. The room wasn't too big, but it had a bathroom. Carlos used it as a resting place when he had urgent work and couldn't go home. Instead of commuting back home tired and drowsy, Carlos sometimes decided to stay overnight at the office, and this room was his designated resting place. There was nothing special about the room, just a small wardrobe where Carlos kept spare clothes and a small-sized bed. Perfect for Carlos alone when he needed to rest there."It's so hot, Dad," Chelsea cried a little to make Carlos feel more sympathetic. Whether he liked it or not, Carlos had to take off Chelsea's tank top and pants, and indeed, her stomach and thighs were red due to the hot coffee spill earlier."Let's go to the bathroom to clean up!" Chelsea shook her head."But, Dad, I'm embarrassed. You mig
20The middle-aged woman seemed passionate. She conveyed her concerns about Margareth's behavior."Don't worry, let me handle everything. So, there's no need to worry, especially about doing things that could jeopardize your presence here because I know how my mother can easily twist the facts. As long as you know, my father died because of her actions and was falsely accused as if he was the one with bad behavior.Playing around. When in fact, she's the one who changes lovers, and I swear I won't let her live in peace, let alone happiness, at the expense of my father's suffering. And don't worry, I won't need much time to do this... And...""What are you guys talking about? Why so serious in the middle of the day like this?" interrupted Vano, who didn't know when he had been standing behind Chelsea."Ah, nothing, Honey. We were just discussing the slightly neglected plants. As you know, Auntie is not very good with gardening.""Oh, that's right. I'll let Daddy know to have the garden
2Chelsea was no longer surprised by Vano's shopping results. He was really going to transform her into a seductive woman, and Chelsea would have to work extra hard because Carlos wasn't just any man.If Carlos were like any other man, Chelsea would have already been under his control. But what had happened? Forget touching her; he wasn't even tempted.Chelsea tried her best, determined to achieve her goal – to make her mother beg for forgiveness for everything she had done to her father over the years. To enhance her appearance, Chelsea had to clean herself up and do her makeup to look beautiful and fresh in Carlos' eyes, who was supposedly in the family room, enjoying the bright afternoon while reading a newspaper.Chelsea was prepared, wearing a mini skirt and a tank top. Underneath the tank top, she wore nothing, creating two bulges. Her outfit left little to the imagination and was designed to break through Carlos' defenses aggressively. As she stepped out of her room, her gaze i
35The sound of sighs and groans fills a cheap accommodation room. Shows how hot and passionate the bed game between a pair of human children, of different ages, can be.Who else if not Margareth and her brondong lover, Kevin. They both enjoyed the pleasure without caring that there was no status that allowed them to do so. But Margaret, who had not received spiritual support from Tomas for a long time, nor from her lover, whom she had broken up with, decided to end the relationship because she wanted to focus on Carlos. Now he is addicted to Kevin's touch, so he can never stand not touching the man for long. Therefore, every day Margareth will look for ways to meet Kevin and experience heaven on earth as it is now. Kevin jerked his way into delivering parts of himself into Margareth's body.“Are you still wearing protection?” Kevin asked, as he got off Margareth's body. Don't forget to give a little pinch at the end of one of Margareth's circles."Still, I still don't want to get pre
34"Thank you," Indri whispered. "But this is related to that night."Cecilia remained silent, not interrupting until Indri finished her statement. "I'm begging you, Cecilia. A middle-aged man asked me to meet with you and persuade you to satisfy his desires. He offered 100 million. I'll borrow half of it from you, and I'll repay it every time I get a customer. I need about 55 million for my mother's operation. The surgery must be done tomorrow to save her life.""So, you're asking me to come here just to plead with me to entertain that man, right?"Indri nodded quickly, wiping the tears from her cheeks. She had no other choice; Cecilia was her only hope right now. If only she hadn't satisfied her boyfriend's desires that day, Indri wouldn't have to go through this ordeal."If you hadn't introduced me to that man, I'd still be a virgin and could sell my virginity at a high price for my mother's treatment."Cecilia massaged her temples. She was always blamed for Indri and her boyfriend
33"This, Carlos. Vano said that last night he slept in the same room as Cecilia. I also saw them kissing at the bedroom door." She pointed at Vano, who stopped right in front of Carlos. "Not only that, I also saw Cecilia walking a little funny!"Carlos swallowed hard. He stared at Vano, who shrugged. He passed by without saying a word, without explaining anything. Carlos wasn't asking for an explanation about Cecilia here. It was about the kissing at the bedroom door and why Vano had mentioned that Cecilia slept in his room when it was clear that Cecilia had slept with him last night."Dad, what's wrong?" Cecilia met Carlos, who had just entered her room. This was the first time Carlos had entered her room since she had been living there.Earlier, Carlos had said he was leaving for the office, but suddenly he appeared and stood right in front of her. His face was stern with reddened eyes. He had also locked Cecilia's room when he entered, as if he didn't care about anyone else. Carlo
32 "M-what about mother?" Finally, Cecilia realized that her mother was out there, when Carlos stopped. Digest what happened, outside the room. Even though his desires are taking over and asking to be satisfied.“Tsk, your mother really is.”"It's okay... Just leave him there, he'll get tired and he'll go by himself." Holding Carlos back from leaving. Cecilia also pushed him to lie down. Without letting go of the union between them. This morning Cecilia will pamper Carlos. Taking over the game so that the man bends his knees to him even more... Don't ask again how to be Carlos. Her face hardened. Her lips kept moaning as Cecilia's hips moved. It was irregular because it was the first time he had done it, but it still made Carlos forget himself. Likewise with him. I can't really do it anymore, but the delicious feeling trumps everything. After going through so much drama when she woke up earlier and finished everything related to the bathroom, now Cecilia was sitting pretty on the edg
31"What's so important that you disturbed my rest?" Carlos hurriedly closed the bedroom door."Cecilia said there are signs of aging here," pointing at her cheek.Carlos squinted, looking at Margareth's index finger. "No, there aren't. It looks normal, and even if there are signs of aging, they're in line with your age. We're getting older every day, so naturally, there will be signs of aging," Carlos explained, distancing himself so that Margareth couldn't get too close. He was afraid that Cecilia might suddenly peek and see what they were doing. It could ruin him if his wife found out that Margareth was clinging to him."You see, Carlos." Margareth grumbled, tapping her foot on the floor. "These are signs of aging. I don't want them.""So, what do you want?""Beauty treatment expenses.""Didn't you just go to the salon earlier? What else?""Why do you question it as if I'm a burden to you?""I'm not questioning it, but reminding you that I've already transferred money to you, and y
"Plans? What other plans are you working on, Cecilia? Why don't I know about them?" Margareth started to be influenced by Cecilia's words, so she dragged Cecilia into the bedroom. The word "plan" mentioned by Cecilia was indeed a secret that needed to be kept. If it were to be exposed, it could be very dangerous for their positions in that house."Here's the thing, Mom," Cecilia put on a serious face as she explained the lie she had crafted to draw Margareth even deeper into the revenge plan she was playing."I approached Daddy Carlos to gain a position in his company. So, the more I learn about how the company works, the easier it is for me to control both of them. I'll get close to Vano and make him fall in love. Marry him, in line with the plan to take over all the divisions in Daddy's company. That way, Daddy will easily hand over the company to me because Vano is more focused on Daddy's subsidiary. He says he's not very interested in the main company because his knowledge isn't s
29"Then why me? Why not yourself? Didn't that chubby man ask for perfection? If you were still 'perfect,' he would have paid a fantastic price even though you both did it. Don't think I'm a naive child who can be fooled and doesn't know about your past relationship, which has left your room in shambles.""It's true that I sold myself that night, but I lost all of this not because I needed the money.""Then?" Cecilia raised her eyebrows."All of this happened because of the man you often introduced to me, the one I fell in love with, deeply in love, to the point where I gave my all for him, even in bed. I gave myself entirely, even though we weren't married."Cecilia was stunned. "So that's why I lost everything. So, what's the point of looking for a difficult job when I have an easier way?""Oh my... Indri, you have to realize that what you did was wrong.""Yes, I know it was wrong, but it's too late, Cecilia. I've lost everything. So, it's better to make use of it than end up as a p
28"Surprisingly, haven't you left yet, dear?" Margareth greeted Carlos, who was still engrossed in his newspaper. He usually left for the office before Margareth woke up, but this morning, he was still at home, waiting for Cecilia, who had her first day of college."I'll be taking Cecilia to campus," Carlos replied without putting down his newspaper."Why not Vano?""Vano left earlier. He said he had a morning class. So, since there's no urgent work at the office, I'll take her to campus.""I see. But last night...""That was Cecilia." Carlos folded the newspaper when he saw Cecilia descending the stairs. She looked radiant, unlike her usual self."Good morning, Mom. Dad," greeted Cecilia, flashing a sweet smile, concealing her dislike for Margareth getting close to her husband."Let's go!" Carlos said, immediately heading out, leaving Cecilia to say her goodbyes to Margareth. He didn't want Cecilia to get angry, so he preferred Margareth to embrace her instead of getting scolded by
27"What do you mean?" Vano hands back the two books to Cecilia."It seems like I'm starting to feel comfortable and enjoy being with your dad. So, from today on, call me 'Chosen,' if my mom isn't around.""W-Wait a minute, what do you mean? I don't understand. Please explain in detail so I can digest everything you're saying.""I and your dad are already married, Van. And here's the proof." Cecilia opens the book and shows a photo of her and Carlos together. "And after thinking it over, I believe I should just go through with this marriage and hope that your dad is the destiny I've been searching for.""Why would you think that? Um... I mean, it feels like you're saying too soon that Dad is your destiny. Isn't all of this just a...""That was before I saw how sincere your dad treats me. Even though our introduction wasn't good, and our initial intentions weren't either, your dad's sincerity is something I no longer doubt. So, there's no reason for me to reject marrying him. The marri
