The strange feeling

"Thank you," I muttered with a sigh as I returned from the graveyard. I shook my head with a sigh as I stared at the pack house before me.

I felt empty and void without Ryan. I thought I'd gotten over him until today when I visited his graveyard. I know he remains in my heart. Although he's dead, he'll forever be in my memory.

I couldn't stop thinking about him.

I turned to Denver who stared at me with a sad look for a while before he looked away. I lowered my head.

"Hey come back," I said, and he turned his gaze to me.

"How may I help you?" He asked with his arms crossed under his broad chest.

I nodded my head gently.

"I want you to take a break since you've been guarding me for a while," I said, and he arched his eyebrows.

"I appreciate your help but I would have to decline it since I'm paid to protect you,"

"And I like to stay by your side," he emphasized, and I gulped down into nothing.
