The inevitable kiss

"Hey," I looked up and called as my gaze caught Denver's bulky figure in a very silent and lonely hallway.

I walked hurriedly after him as he increased his pace without looking back. He didn't hear me.

"Denver," I called loudly and exhaled heavily after catching up with him. He's fast.

He stopped and turned his cold gaze at me. "Luna," he called and bowed his head respectfully.

"Good morning, my lady," he greeted, and I nodded my head gently.

"Why did you make me run so fast?" I asked in a cold and angry tone.

"I didn't know you were referring to me until I heard my name," he said, and I scoffed inwardly.

I glared at him with a cold and fierce look on my face.

"Or are you trying to ignore me?" I asked, and he shook his head quickly.

"I wouldn't dare, my lady," he said.

"Well, the reason why I called for you is because I want to give you this painkiller medicine to take," I said, and he looked up with a surprised look on his face.
