Epilogue

Jake was awake all night waiting for a call to update him on what happened the previous night. He did not want to call himself because he knew that in times of battle there is no time for a phone. When he got a call in the early hours of the morning from Derick informing him of what happened he was relieved.

He then went to bed. “My parents will be here at ten, I will come and wake you up thirty minutes before the time so you can have enough time to freshen up,” Sandra told him when he walked into their room looking like the walking dead. He hummed his response and threw himself on the bed. It did not take long for him to fall into a deep sleep because of how tired he was.

That morning Sandra left Jake in bed and went to make sure the preparations for her parent’s arrival were going according to plan. Their room to sleep, the decorations, and the breakfast set up.
