Chapter 146

Mirabel:

I paced the cabin's porch waiting for Noah to arrive. I knew it was dangerous for us to meet here, but I was pretty sure that Roselyn and Thaila were not coming back anytime soon. At least that’s what Roselyn had said besides as soon as he arrived, I planned on following him to another location.

I watched as Noah drove into the driveway and began to tap my legs against the floorboard as he walked up to me, annoyed and irritated by what Roselyn had told me he had said about seeing Jackson leave town with his bags.

"Hey, you look upset, what’s wrong? He asked.

" You told Roselyn that my brother left town and ran away. What is that about?"

I snapped impatiently. I did not have any time to mince my words.

“I’m not sure what you’re talking about and what is that supposed to mean? I told her the truth. I even gave her evidence of him traveling and leaving town and even evidence of him using his credit card and booking a flight out of the pack.” Noah said, sounding offended.
