Thirteen

Belle's POV

Leaving the Reid hospital was bittersweet.

No one loved to be a patient, but I felt safe there. It was a better place to be than the chaotic storm that my life had become.

My parents and Ben accompanied me as we first made a stop at the Scott family hospital. “Run a full body scan," My father instructed the lab scientist.

I was moved from one unit to the other, just to ensure I was alright. Once they were done, we returned to the car park.

"Mom, I think it would be best if Belle came home with us," Ben said gently, standing beside me as my parents made to enter their car.

They paused and glanced at me. I looked miserable already, so a little more droopy lips would make anyone give into my desires.

After a while, my mother asked. "Is that what you want, Belle?" she asked.

I hated staying at home and they knew it. I felt policed whenever I stayed there, but right now it was a better option to staying with Dave.

I nodded. "Yes, Mom. I think it would be good for me."
