Alex lay on his side facing Angelina, lifting his head and supporting it with his arm. He watched her intently.

"Angelina, I'm serious about taking you to be my wife," Alex said, also serious.

"Then you must also be serious about showing your feelings, not just with words."

"I knew that. And I became even more eager to pursue it after you parted ways with that fake doctor," Alex said with a lopsided smile.

"So, are you praying for my relationship to break up?" Angelina accused.

"Of course, I don't wish for such things, but since it's already happened then I should be grateful. Because after you won't use the excuse of having a lover to reject me. And I hope you'll be more able to express your feelings," Alex said, sounding soft in the ear.
