Chapter 012

Though he'd been distracted moments before, Everett leaned into my space. I could tell he was drunk, especially when he suddenly kissed me. Feeling dazed, I pushed him away.

"What are you doing?" I asked him, slurring my speech. He laughed.

"What do you mean? You came with me for a reason."

"I don't know what you're talking about," I said, holding my pounding head. "I already told you I didn’t want to go out.”

"Yeah, but here you are," he said, taking another gulp of beer. Voices picked up as I sought to comprehend what he was saying. Narrowing my eyes, I glared at him as he continued.

"You know, everyone said I could conquer any virgin with the BMW I have."

My heart began to pound as my cheeks flushed. I was pissed off that he thought all it took was a car to get me to spread my legs. I burned to tell him the truth about who I really was.

"What the hell are you talking about? Firstly, I'm not a virgin."

"You're not a virgin?" he asked, sipped then scoffed. "That's n
