"That's not true and you know it. You're just saying that because I didn't want to fool around with you. You can't take rejection, can you?"

"Mila, you aren't being honest with me," he said. I glared at him unsure why I owed him an explanation. "I know you're seeing someone else. Otherwise, you wouldn't be acting this way."

"I don't know what you're talking about," I said, scoffing, crossing my arms.

"Who in the school are you dating? Is it Joseph?"

"Really, Everett?" I asked tossing my hair. "Is that the only conclusion you can come to?"

"Well, what else can you tell me? You've been hounding me for months, sending me dirty pictures in lingerie and posing with your vibrator. Now you’re cold as ice. What do you expect me to think?" he asked.

Turning around, I secretly took a deep breath trying to gather my thoughts.

"I need to focus on my internship at your father's company. Then my credits will be sorted out. That’s what has my attention."

Everett sneered at me.
