I tried as much as I could you tiptoe back upstairs to my room, but I was still caught

My dad was seated in the second sitting room, with a disappointed countenance

"Kola, where have you been?" He asked

"I am not happy with you....." He said

"Dad, I see you're not pleased with the competition. Was there anything wrong?" I tried to divert the topic

"The question was too easy and you left the hall immediately, that was very disrespectful" he said and walked up to me

"You left the competition for a girl.....Don't lie to me, I followed you to the hospital. Your car was there" He said and I gulped
