Kidnapped by the bloodsucker

FAEDRA's POV.

“You'll be fine; you'll like the place.” Alanis reassured me for the umpteenth time. I said nothing while my eyes remained glued to the window. There had been a heavy downpour ever since we left the hangar.

Two weeks had passed since I lost my child. I was down with no options and kept a sad heart. It was last night that Alanis approached me with the news that we were to move into a new vacation house.

I had no issues with it; as a matter of fact, it was something I had always wanted all along—to get a breathing space—but the circumstances were different from what I hoped for. My hand moved down to my belly, and my heart sank at the thought of it. My hatred for Arista increased with each passing second. I wanted him dead. I made it clear to Alanis, but he wanted me to get enough rest.

He pulled over by the garage, and we both emerged from the car. I sighed and sucked in a long whiff of air.

It seemed better, calmer, and nicer.

“Do you like it?.” Alanis asked, smiling from ear to ear. Most times, I found it hard to believe that seven years had passed so quickly and he had not seemed to age a day. I was stunned beyond belief when I asked about passports, saying I had none, and he laughed it off. I found it odd, but to my shock, we headed up towards a private jet earlier today. I knew he was wealthy and had good things going on in life, but over the years, he surprisingly acquired even greater heights of wealth.

A buzz rang through the air, and I narrowed my eyes towards the phone in his hand.

“It's business,” he added hastily as a line of defense, and I nodded as a gesture that he could leave.

I walked in slowly, admiring the surroundings. I loved how tropical it looked, with the woods and the pool in sight. I pushed open the heavy wooden doors feeling tired, and I felt more relieved at everything inside: the decorations, the paintings, the space, the huge curtains, the lightning. He really had outdone himself; it seemed everything was like the dream house I wanted when I was quite young.

“Do you like the place?.” he asked again, dying to get an answer out of me.

“It's everything to my taste,” I admitted.

“Even when you've not checked the bedrooms?. '' he teased. I nodded in response, knowing he certainly had done a better job with the rooms.

“It's your taste; I remembered the funny ideas we had about wanting a home out in places like this, and when you left, I knew those dreams were dead, but somehow I purchased the house, second thoughts hoping for a miracle, and here you are; the moon goddess is just as loving.” He added in, pulled me closer, and tapped slowly against my hair.

“You will be fine; I'll make it all up to you, I promise, and Aries will pay for it, but promise me you'll have a good time here?.” He asked, pulling away as his eyes bore into mine.

“I will, but what's up with you? Is there anything I need to know?.” I asked, slowly yet worried, as the words eased up from my lips.

“I have to go now; duty calls; it's business; I promise I'll be back in a week; you'll be safe here; no one knows about this place yet; besides, it's a community; humans and their peckish lifestyle; it's urgent; and I need to leave before the hanger is closed for today. Now will you be fine alone?.” he asked.

I hesitated for a while; I didn't want to seem like a sucker, but I knew he had plans as well.

“It's okay; I'll be fine.” I added in, hating to be a burden. He tucked a card into my hand, and my eye spooled as I caught sight of it. a fucking black card; how wealthy was he?.

“Have fun,” he added in, leaned towards me, and placed a soft kiss against both cheeks of mine before dashing out the door. I was all by myself yet again, alone to deal with the burden of my life.

I listened as I heard the engine of his car get ignited as he drove off. I slouched my shoulders and bolted the door closed before heading up the stairs. The rooms were huge, but eventually I settled for the second one at the right corner of the second floor. I pushed open the heavy curtains and admired the view from the glass windows.

He had acquired a masterpiece as I stared down into the flowers, pool, little barbecue spot at the back, and even the interior of the room. He had left no details out; he made it all as I had planned it out to be.

I stretched at my full length and yawned lazily, but stopped, panicking as I matched-eyed with a pair of blue ones.

A man stood behind the fence, staring right at me. It was odd; he spoke of humans being around. I always knew them to be nosy, but here was something appealing to me with those very eyes.

I swallowed hard as I waved slightly with a smile on my face. Perhaps it might have been some neighbour, but not for once had the person flinched. Lines of worry formed on my head as I picked up my pace and headed down for the door.

Thinking soothing might be wrong; the person had stared at me, like he was calling out my soul. The deep blue orbs had loneliness in them. I was worried.

I pushed open the door as well at the gate and turned my route towards the fence, but to my despair, the handsome lad was gone.

“hello? Anybody there?!.” I called out again, but I heard nothing, disappointed at the waste it had been. I turned down to my feet, a blunt force was dealt behind my neck, and I fell to the floor and slipped off of my consciousness.

FAEDRA’S POV.

A heavy migraine was the first feeling that reeled through me.

I swallowed hard while my eyes darted around. It was almost a day break; the grass was wet, dew fell against my skin as the sky was dark up ahead, and it was about to rain again.

Slowly, I stood to my feet, dusted off the speckle of dirt from my body, before standing to my feet hastily, alarmed at the fact that I had slept out on the cold floor overnight and still had no idea what had happened.

Goosebumps crawled all over my skin as I made a mental reminder never to reach out to anyone else in the town. I could not understand what it was all about, but luckily I had not been harmed; nothing seemed out of place for me. I jumped instantly and picked up my pace towards the door. I was right; someone had broken in.

Not that there was anything to be stolen or anything Alanis could not replace, but there were fallen pieces of cookies and fruits. I followed the trails and ended up at the pantry. The food there, in the store, had been completely wiped out.

Whoever he was that stared at me, he was nothing but a cold-hearted thief.

“fuck!.” I yelled from pent-up frustrations; not only had he stolen, he had also somehow gotten me winded up in some silly ass affairs.

I swallowed hard and chugged down saliva as I reached for my phone and the black card, which had not been stolen. I could have let it slide, but it was unfair of me to have slept out in the cold all night.

I looked up the nearest station on G****e, and to my surprise, their building was a few blocks away. The thieves, I had to admit, had lots of fucking nerves.

I stormed out of the house, closed the door, locked it, and headed towards the cops, my anger building up by the minute.

“New in town?. '' a middle-aged man asked as he eyed me. I felt somewhat uncomfortable knowing he was human. I said nothing as I wiggled in my seat and nodded affirmatively.

“Well, there's been a couple I break in, a bunch of hungry kids, I guess; nothing important is stolen, just food and fruits; anything different?” He asked again.

“No, just some food and fruits.” I responded, feeling slightly irritated. Thieves are thieves; there was nothing like a couple of hungry kids, not when they had injured me and left me to die for all they cared.

“That would be all. I assure you, we will all get to it. I promise, I'll stop by and knock on your door if it comes up, or you could check with us yourselves. Be sure to have your door locked. They might be tricky as hell, but I could swear on my life they don't break in, so get a good sleep. Once your door is locked, you are safe.”

Something about his manner of speech told me he knew who the thieves were and had merely been covering for them. I wasn't sure if believing his words was the best thing to do.

I nodded and proceeded to leave. Everyone in the damned station were humans; I've never lived amongst them, but I was to take Alanis's words for it; he trusted them and said they were of no harm.

“You have our number, right?.” he yelled right after me. I stopped in my tracks, turned to face him, and nodded with a smile again. He was somehow acting odd, or was I the one thinking too far?

I had been scared for a moment, worried sick that some men had gotten to me. Never had I been so happy to be mugged in my entire life; at least they were food thieves and not murderers.

I sighed deeply as I caught sight of my new home a few blocks away. It was a beauty; no wonder it attracted those thieves as soon as I moved in.

I checked the time, and the sun had begun to stretch its pinkyfingers across the yards. But Alanis had still not called. Worry thugged at the pit of my belly before I reminded myself that he was just a friend, nothing more between us.

The words seemed more like I had been trying to lie to myself. It's been a few weeks since I and Alanis had been together; my uncontrollable lust for him wasn't helping matters, but he had kept a strong restraint on himself. It was quite shameful to admit, but I knew I would drop on my knees and suck the life out of his d*ck if he asked me to; who would not? The man was so fine.

I stopped to my feet as a huge van pulled over before me, and a hand grabbed at me from behind. I tried screaming, but pieces of clothes were shoved into my mouth, and a sack was placed over my head as I'm pushed off into the van, my body hitting against harsh cold metal.

“hurry!.” Another voice called out, followed by the slamming of the door. I couldn't see; it was all dark, and neither could I speak. I had been fucking kidnapped, but that wasn't all; there was something off about them.

. I wriggled more, and I felt a stab of pain in my sides as I got kicked violently.

“Keep your acts on, and you'll be dead before you are even sold!.” a hoarse voice commanded, and then it clicked on to me; they had no heartbeat; it was just as I dreaded...

I had been taken by bloody blood suckers, the vampires.
