party preparation

After the party, I went to the bedroom to rest, I had a lot to drink and because of that, I almost fall on tht ground, thankfully I grabbed onto a Stool on time.

Abhishek find me at the same spot and instead of helping, he began to laugh.

"Hey, are you okay?".

He kept on giggling.

I heaved my head and saw his face grinning out of joy.

"Can you please help me up, and don't you dare continue laughing".

I pulled up my hand ..he takes it and grabbed me onto his chest, I fell my head, slapping my hair to his face.

Abhishek and I stared at each other.. Avanti walks in at the same time, she tried leaving after seeing us in such a way but hits off a vase on the ground.

It broke to pieces.

Abhishek and I left each other and faced her.

Avanti falls her eyes away and while apologizing for not knocking before entering, I saw her grinning at both ends.

"Tell me, do you what anything sister?". Abhishek said, he lets go of me in the process.

Avanti looks at us and said, she would want to talk with me alone.

Abhishek looks back at me before facing her again.

He wanted to know why?. However, Avanti asked him not to bother and playfully pushed him out of tht room.

I wanted to speak, however, Abhishek pulled her hand up and asked me to wait.

She opened the door looking through the hall, before shutting the door again.

"So, what's going on, why the secrecy?". I sat on tht bed, facing her.

Avanti raised an eyebrow and blocked her hands together.

Are you asking me, don't you know?". She says.

I noticed she looked serious like I had just been caught doing something wrong, and when I did ask her what the problem was.

Avanti takes in a deep breath before relating to me shocking news.

"Guess who I met? Karan's sister,"

She said.

How the hell did she find that out?. Did they perhaps meet during the party?..

I questioned Avanti.

She listened and the last minute, exposed to me that they found each other, at the nearby coffee shop when she went off to get some things done.

So. I wasn't hallucinating when I did see her at the party.

If Karan's sister here?  It would mean she told Avanti everything?..

Avanti passed me a letter, she said, Karan's sister wanted her to give this to me. I collected the letter and watched her leave.

There's no way I'll read this with Avanti being here with me.

She left.

The letter in my hand made me curious, I tore the letter opened and read through it.

While reading.  Karan's sister made me recall my promise to her, she even swore to find her way in if ever I don't think of keeping to the other end of my bargain.

Should I be worried?.

Because if she wouldn't mind sending her brother to jail just to help Abhishek, what more is she willing to do.

Abhishek walks inside. "Hey! You okay?" He asked. I faced him startled by his presence, I hid the letter behind my back and said, "sure, I am fine,".

He nods and left for the bathroom to change.

Immediately he shuts the door, I ran out of the room and went straight to the kitchen. I turned on the gas cooker and burnt down Karan's sister's disturbing message.

While doing that, Avanti walks into the kitchen, and she finds me burning the paper. "what are you burning?"

She said.

I faced her curious eyes, "nothing! It's just a paper that's not important,". I said I waited for the paper to burn before switching off the gas.

I left the kitchen, after tossing the burnt papers into the trashcan at the kitchen.

I went back to the room.

Abhishek was just getting ready for bed.

He turns and sees me standing lost at the door and said, "javelin, you okay?, You seem off?".

I turned and smiled.."I am okay, don't mind me, just exhausted, that's all," I said walking away ...

I picked out my nightwear and went into the bathroom to change. I came all done and right next to me, Abhishek had already dozed off.

He looked claim?... I said...

I walked to the other side of the bed and laid down too. While sleeping, I couldn't help but recall that letter.

Do I tell Abhishek what Karan's sister wants?

Yes. I know that she helped him when needed, but I don't think that Abhishek will be happy to let her back into his family not after what happened.

No?, I can't do that.

The next morning, I woke up to loud music playing inside the bedroom. I stared at the dressing mirror, Abhishek was busy having some dance lessons with his reflection.. what's he doing?.

He sees me through the mirror.

"Good morning Javelin, did I wake you up?".- he said.

I shook my head, I was rather concerned about what he was doing.

"No, but tell me, what are you doing?".

I stepped down from the bed. Abhishek turns around and faced me.

"I am practicing, I've got a dance competition tonight".

He said

What dance competition?". I asked.

Someone knocked on the door before he could respond.

I went to open it and outdoor, I was Ayan at the door.

"Good morning javelin, is Abhishek up,?". He smiles.

Abhishek heard from behind, he yelled, "yes! Come in Ayan".

I moved back inside and Ayan follows.

He sees Abhishek wearing his workout outfit and asked, " going somewhere?".

Abhishek laughed. " Nope, but don't you remember, you challenged me to a dance battle tonight, remember?".

He taps his hand excitedly.

Immediately Ayan laughed, "oh I remember now, but I was only joking?, After all, you're a bad dancer,". He moved his eyes over and it looks at me.

I smiled.

"Oh really, then lets the ladies of this house, decide, who's the best dancer or not,". Said Abhishek. He smiles as we all looked at each other.
