We were both silent.
Wait, a few minutes ago, I had been putting my robe on. So, what if he had come out of the bathroom at that time? What if he had seen me naked? In the first place, what was he doing in my room?!
Scanning him, I gulped. He was looking so, so hot. A white towel was wrapped around his waist, another around his neck. His dark, brown hair was wet, slipping past his eyebrows. There were his arms, not overly built like one of those bouncers or boxers' arms, yet built enough for any girl to like. Any girl who wasn't me.
"Y-You?" He cut the silence creeping around us. Okay. This was it. I wasn't ever going to think about people's stutter. That had to end
Woah! This man was in my room, looking hot!
Contemplating, also trying to be the crazy person I always was, I tried to frown again, then took a step close to him. "Hey, what're you doing in here?" I demanded.
"I should be asking you that." He raised his eyebrow at me, kept his hands on his waist, and bended his neck a little, to catch my height. He was as tall as Aaron, so I guessed he should be about 6"3 feets.
I scoffed, and wrapped my arms around my chest. "See, cause I needed to work with you, doesn't mean I'll do anything to achieve that. There's no doubt you've come in here to taste my body. Dude, go to your harlots!"
"Excuse me?" He took a step close, scrunched his nose as if he was irritated. "Do you know who you're speaking with? I'm Seth, the man with so many principles. And, for your info, you're not even close to being my type."
"Whatever. Just get out of my room." That had kind of had an effect on me, but I would just ignore his words.
He squirmed his neck sideways, sighed hard, and turned back to me. "Lady, this is my room. Don't make me get angry with you. I'm not in a good mood tonight."
"I have the room card, so stop saying nonsense. This is the room I took for the night," I complained.
He walked to the bed, took a skin lotion from the side table, sat on the bed, and began applying the lotion to the skin of his face. What? He was sitting? He wasn't ready to leave? This guy would make me commit murder.
"Once you're ready, leave," he sputtered, glaring a bit.
I gaped. "Are you serious? Do you want me to call the police? This is a harrassment! How can you be in a woman's room?"
"You're in my room, Lella," he retorted.
"It's Louella." I frowned even more. Noticing he wasn't ready to leave, and in fact, was attempting to unwrap his towel, I gasped. "Hey, stop! Are you trying to send me out of the room by doing that? What's wrong with you, disgusting dick?"
He glared up at me. "You're still adamant? Fine, we would stay here together."
"Stop this nonsense! It seems like you don't know who I am. I'm not like the morons who fall for you, so I won't think twice before breaking your bones."
He hissed. Ignoring my words, he stood up. As if he hadn't even thought twice, he just began unwrapping his towel. Helpless, I gasped for maybe the third time, and twirled around so I wouldn't have to see the whatever ugly thing under that towel.
I shut my eyes tight, really irritated. I had thought this man had a brain, but clearly, he didn't. But wait, what would I do? I was in a robe, he was naked. What if he thought I had come to seduce him or something? Okay, fine, I would just have to be a psycho at this moment. Well, I was ever a psycho.
Like crazy, I wanted to turn around, but then, I was wondering if he already had his clothes on. I was getting so furious, yet nervous. Another thing that made me weak were men. As a young girl, during the times I used to do weird jobs, I had almost been assaulted twice. All thanks to Aaron who had saved me. That was one of the reasons I would never forget him.
When I felt Seth coming close, sweat seeped on my forehead, although the air conditioner was turned on. I was blinking crazily, swallowing the pounds that formed in my throat. Was he truly going to do something? No, not with me! I would really murder him.
"You don't wanna leave, right?" His voice sounded raspy, dangerous, pretty flirtatious. He wasn't stepping close anymore, but I could tell he was already behind me. What if he was standing there naked?
Alarmed, I scanned my eyes left and right, seeking for something I would use to hit his head. And, that was when I saw the emergency button which was on the wall. Good for me, since my men weren't in the corridor, at least, I would be able to call for help using that button.
Contemplating, I turned around to look at him. My eyes almost went down there, but I refrained them from doing that. I only stared at his face, glared on seeing that threatening sneer.
"So…" He moved close, and I moved backwards.
Woah, woah, I wasn't one of those dumb girls who would move backwards, and then say, “Ah, no, I hit my back against the wall. He's pinning me to the wall!” Absolutely crazy. I was only moving backwards because I wanted to press the emergency button without him noticing it. If he got to see me doing it, he would probably run away, and maybe not get arrested although he was trying to force himself on me.
"So, what?" I smirked as well. I just had to pretend like I was fine with this madness.
"So, you're ready? You still don't wanna leave here?" I knew he was purposely confusing. I didn't even know whether or not he was planning to force himself on me. Was he trying to get me out of this room by threatening to sleep with me? No, no, I wouldn't leave here. He'd be the one to leave. I wasn't a coward.
Slowly, I crawled my fingers to the wall, pressed the button which was behind me.
"Seth Lee, don't come any closer," I warned. I warned him because this closeness seemed a bit frustrating. I didn't want my traumatic experiences to ramble back into my head.
"You won't leave." His hands pinned me to the wall.
I smirked. "Taste my fist."
"Huh?" He furrowed his brows at me. Uniformed, I threw a punch against his tummy.
He groaned a little, and stepped backwards. When he did so, I didn't resist attacking him. I couldn't believe I was doing this, but well, I was. I climbed on the bed, stood on it, and began throwing pillows at him.
"Get out of here, idiot! I hate you so much already. Don't make me murder you!" I cried.
"Stop throwing that at me." He tried using his arms to protect his face, but I guessed I was attacking too fast. "Are you crazy?! Do you want to get arrested?"
"Just get out!" I continued my weirdness.
Due to my attack, he was turning around the bed, also, I continued to throw pillows at him. Soon, he was only a few steps away from the bed, moving close so he would stop me from throwing things at him. Of course, I wasn't just throwing pillows. I had thrown all the pillows, so I moved to scattering the room. I just had to go rid of him at all costs.
"Stop now!" He barked, almost reaching me.
"Come on, try to stop me."
I had said that, but hadn't expected it to reflect. But, well, it reflected. He moved close, grabbed my wrist. Sensing I was a bit hard to handle, he climbed on the bed as well, trying to stop me.
"Leave. Me. Alone!" I struggled so much, breathing hard, getting too angry.
As a result of the force I was using to try to get my wrist off his grip, my legs accidentally stumbled over one of the pillows on the bed. I gasped, almost fell, but he grabbed me. Though he had tried to prevent me from falling, my unstableness caused me to stumble over something again, and eventually, I fell to the bed.
I didn't just fall, he also did. And, like one of those weird movies, he was on top of me. A boy was on top of me. Like damn, I had never been this close to a man. As far as I knew, whenever this had to happen in movies, the dude and lady always kissed. So, was I to kiss him? Gross!
He widened his eyes, and I did the same. Just when I wanted to stand up, the door of the room jerked open, which made us flinch. Snapping my neck in the direction of the door, my heart jumped to my throat when I saw Leo, Neo, Rachel, Aaron, and even Erin!
How did they all get here? Until today, I hadn't seen Aaron in months. Until now, I hadn't seen Erin in days. This one time I had to see them, Seth was on top of me.
To aggravate this circumstance, a bunch of unknown people started rushing into the room. I didn't know who they were. But, since about two to three years ago, I had been seeing these people almost everyday.
Oh my Lord, they were journalists! I knew I shouldn't have patronized this hotel.
What would happen to my reputation now? Louella Warren and Seth Lee in a hotel room? Staying in bed together?
For some very stupid reason that was unknown to me, Seth pulled my waist, tugged me close to him. He did it so fast that I couldn't even struggle to pull myself off his grip. Quite alarmed, I turned to him with broadened eyes.
"Sh…" He whispered, frowning a little, seeming equally tense. "Let's flow with this. It's for our own good."
"H-huh?" I stuttered, blinking like a maniac.
Before my brain could take time to understand the commotion racing around us, and to understand the words he had just spat out, I felt something on my lips. Something was tugging my lips!
No, no. This couldn't be happening. Gosh, he was kissing me! I was doomed. He had finally ruined my reputation.
Uh-oh.
Lord, help me!

"Oh, sorry for interrupting you!" Someone cried from the crowd standing by the door.Seth and I flinched for a second time, and moved away from each other. Practically, we had both acted like criminals who had been caught committing a crime. I really didn't want to believe what was happening. I would never have expected the journalists to come into the room I had paid for, for the night. All I wanted was for the bed to swallow me at this moment.Erin walked to me with widened eyes. She glanced at Seth, turned to me, glanced back at Seth, turned back to me. She was totally dazed. Obviously."Louella? What's going on?" She whispered. I would rather say she was being dramatic. Why had she moved her eyes that way? And why in the world was she whispering as if I had been doing something with him?I sighed, quite worried. "How did the media get here? Nothing was
I was above being frustrated. Since morning, I hadn't even been able to work properly. I couldn't stop thinking about what had happened last night. I hardly let things affect me, but this time around, this was affecting me so bad! How could he have gone as far as lying to the media?"This is the reason I tell you to stop being so stubborn," Erin continued to scold me.I rolled my eyes. "Can you stop blaming me now? I didn't know the emergency button was connected to the other parts of the hotel. But wait, how did the reporters get in there?""Um…" she sucked her teeth, drummed my fingers against the table. "Well, there was this guy who came to announce that Seth and you were in a room."I glared. "What?! How did the guy know that?""Calm down, okay? I heard Seth's gotten him arrested," she informed me. Leaning her back against her seat, she sighed. "The guy's a
His body seemed to have frozen, as his eyes shot irateness and hatred at me. Though his dirty look was so threatening, not a bit did I feel the need to release his sister from my capture. He had been telling me how well this lie had helped him, so what happened to him now? His throat got cut?"How did you get my sister?" The way he glared at me, was as if I had murdered his entire family in the past. I wished I could do that.I sucked my teeth. "Since I'm kind of influential, I managed to get quick information about your family. I heard she owns a boutique, so I went there to get her.""Did you kidnap her?" He squeezed his face at me, seeming irritated, and snorted.I shrugged. "Maybe. But, not really. Kidnappers always ask for ransom, but all I need is for you to clarify all that's going on on social media."He clasped his teeth. "Is this a threat? Holdin
Definitely, I was so shocked. If it wasn't for the fact I paid some respect to old people, I'd have thrown this man off my body. But well, what if he was one of those old men who always had a memory swing, and maybe thought I was his daughter-in-law? It wouldn't be nice to shame him roughly. I could be mean, but there were certain people I respected."Um, sir, I understand you're not fine. So, in case you need to be told, well, I'm not your daughter-in-law," I said. At all costs, I had tried to be as nice as possible. In fact, I kind of forced a smile. For anyone who cared to know, I was that one person who hadn't smiled in almost a year, unless it was a fake one.He pulled away, held my arms as he smiled. "Nah, I'm not crazy. Aren't you Louella Warren? Oh, I'm sure you must have come to see him. Seriously, I can't wait to see you both have a baby!" He exclaimed."Huh?" I squinted my eye at him, trying
I wasn't making it obvious, but I was surely so excited to begin working with that ass. Erin and I had taken our time to plan our new working schedule. I had to stay up all night, had done a lot of research about the Chinese company Harold had said Seth and I were going to work with. At all costs, I didn't want to disappoint anyone.Inhaling hard, I stood up from the swivel chair, close to the tall glass window that was almost the size of a door, in my study room. Gulping in the last mug of cappuccino, I headed straight to my bedroom to get dressed, and get ready for work."Erin, hurry up. You don't want us to be late." I walked as fast I could. I slapped her butt as she laid on the couch in the living room, shook her legs as well."Oh, come on," she muffled under the blanket. "Just a few more minutes."I rolled my eyes, and slapped her butt harder. A few more minutes? What about me
I couldn't tell what I was to do. I knew I was a strong woman, but he was obviously physically stronger. I had tried to pull him from me, but nothing seemed to be working. He held me so tight, clinging my body to his, like he wanted to get something from me.No man, absolutely no man, had kissed me this hard, and even this long.I shook. To probably taste more of my lips, he stood up from the table, jerked my body to his torso, held me even tighter. All I could do was to struggle to leave his hold, literally infuriated to the extreme.Holding my arms, he turned me around, made me sit on his table. After a little longer, he stopped pulling my lips, and kind of gave me a sly smile."Sh…" He pulled a finger over my mouth. "Don't speak. I'll get back to you. Be right back."And then, he just turned to the lady who was behind him, leaving me to gape in s
I continued to weep on his chest, sweating profusely, although the air conditioner was turned on. I created a fist of his shirt, squeezed it in my palm, ensuring I was expressing my pain to the fullest. In years, I hadn't wept this much. That one kiss was what created this."Calm down." I was surprised to notice him patting my back. I didn't ever want anyone to see me cry, but I couldn't hold back the memory in my head. "I didn't know a kiss would hurt you this much. I think… I'm sorry. Well, hard to say, but, um, sorry. I'm sorry."After a while of weeping, I pulled away, sniffed, wiped my tears, not being able to look him in the eye. I was so embarrassed."You've soaked my shirt." He held his shirt up, stared down at the thing. Ah, shit, this man was maybe one person I wouldn't have ever wanted to see me cry.I rubbed my palm against my eyes, resumed wearing a stern look, a
She exhaled hard. I was pretty sure she wouldn't have behaved this way, if she was observant enough to know Jerome was here with me. She was upset, and probably wasn't aware of anything going on around her. She was hardly this way, but would only act like this when she couldn't control her emotions for too long.I caressed her arms, a bit worried. "Calm down, okay? Tell me what happened. Who kissed you?""It's that irritating man, Seth!" She blurted out, glaring hard, her teeth clasped too."Aha!" I turned to Jerome, walked to him. Standing in front of him, he was kind of smiling. "See? I told you your friend is an asshole. Believe me now?""Wh-What?" Louella bulged her eyes open, sauntered to us. "I-Is he… Seth's friend?""Best friend," I replied sharply. She obviously swallowed. For some reason, she cleared her throat, flared her no
The entire hall was silent. There was no doubt that everyone present in the great crowd in front of me, was in awe, feeling the intensity of the words I was speaking. I smiled a little, pacing around the stage. I stood behind the podium, and cleared my throat. "Now, this goes to the younger women in here." My hands settled on the podium, my shoulders raised proudly. "You see, people still tend to underestimate the power you have. But, I have good news for you. You're capable. What a man can do, you can also do. It's only about the mindset. Anyone can become successful. Don’t let anyone intimidate you." "Yeah," someone from the crowd agreed. I just smiled. They concentrated so much, as if their lives depended on my words. I continued, "Many ladies have lost
Seth laughed at me as I groaned and acted like a child. That was pretty annoying, but well, how could an adult be so scared to take an injection? I hated that thing so, so much. The doctor finally got rid of the syringe, and took care of the injected part of my skin. As soon as he was done with that, he arranged his box, and stood up. I kept squeezing my face like a crying child. He cleared his throat, and started, "Mrs. Lee, you're good to go for your trip. After all the tests we've done, I can confidently tell you that your body system is back to normal. The effects of the poison are completely diminished."I finally smiled. "That's good news. Thanks."Seth held my hand as he sat beside me. "Thanks, do
I sobbed. The pain I was feeling obviously wasn't as crazy as hers, but it felt like mine was worse. She gaped, groans leaving her mouth. Her lips quivered, quite obvious that she wanted to say something. Blood kept gushing out from the left side of her chest, as well as her mouth. Tears left her eyes, the gun dropping from her hand. Her body shook, seeming as if she'd lose her stability soon.I was shocked. Being shocked was an understatement. She was battling to live; battling to save herself.Alarmed, I cried, "Celina!" The moment I attempted to grip her arm, her body impelled backwards. Her legs tripped over each other, and like a weak mango tree, she fell off the cliff.Seeing that, my heart s
The beam of the rising sun shone against my eyes, making me blink slowly. I yawned, the sore pain in my head becoming quite worse. Trying to sit up, I noticed how uncomfortable I was, my hands and legs feeling stuck to something. It took a while for me to open my eyes, and to even notice all that was going on around me. The moment I realized where I was and what was happening, I gasped. I tried sitting straight on this old, dusty floor, and also tried moving away from the ray of the sun which was attacking my eyes. I looked down at my legs which were tied, struggling to help myself out of this bandage. This was already a new day, yet I was still not seen by the police. Were Becca and Celina stronger than them or what? But, I could not remain here, right? If they weren't going to come and get me, it seemed like I would have
I knew I was supposed to run over to him, and cuddled him crazily. Instead, all I was doing was to stare at him. I was really happy. To be honest, in the past few days, I had missed him a lot. There was really no point in denying that."Seth." Gently, I walked over to him, giving him a small smile. He was also smiling, but wasn't saying anything. He cupped my jaw when I reached him. "Sweetie, where have you been?" And pecked my cheek."Gosh, I've missed you." A tear left my eye. What was making me emotional? In such a terrifying situation? He leaned close, hugged me, pecked my forehead. "Oh yes, I've missed you too.""This is really hard for us." I returned his hug, weeping on his chest. "Becca and Celina are doing all this. They really want to have me killed. They're taking it too far.""I know it all. And, most of all, I'm glad you have no
Louella••••••••••I packed the last set of files into my backpack, ready to head out. Spotting a red file on my table, I narrowed my eyes at it, and grabbed it. The moment I skimmed through it, I couldn't help but gape. How in the world had I almost forgotten such an important file? This was the most needed file of all the files I had taken from here.I kept the file in my backpack, slung the backpack over my shoulder. I took a glance at my wrist watch, feeling a bit disturbed and puzzled. I had to leave here soon, before anyone would see me. If Seth had to come now, there was no doubt that he wouldn't want me to leave.First, I had to ensure that I was set to leave here. Once I got back to the beach house, since my phone was already turned on, I would book a flight online, and leave the country for a few months. In the meantime, I would ensure that I
Celina••••••••Becca's complaint was getting too annoying. Why was it so hard for her to understand that we only needed to be as patient as possible? It wasn't as if I wasn't trying my best. Here she was, complaining about her father's betrayal, while I was here, thinking of how to get Seth attracted to me.Days had passed, yet Seth wasn't willing to be close to me. I had gone to his office, and had apologized to me. Yes, he had said he forgave me, but how was I supposed to believe that if he hadn't even called or texted me? It just seemed like my effort to get him was nothing but a waste."Where the heck is Rita?!" Becca barked, smashed her phone against the floor, breathing hard like an insane dog.I rolled my eyes. "Girl, chill. She'll be back soon. I only asked her to grab some files from Louella's office. If we find Louella before
Seth••••••I wasn't feeling so well. Before Louella had come into my life, all I had been doing was to work. But, now that she had gone, it was really hard to work without her. This was so upsetting.Indeed, you only missed your lover when you let her go. To worsen all this, no one knew where she was. I had called her, had texted her, hard searched for her, but it was all to no avail. Maybe I had to file a missing report at the police station. This was too frustrating for me.Dayla walked into my office, a couple of files tugged to her chest. When she dropped the files on my table, she stood in front of the table like a mango tree, looking down.I wiggled a brow at her. "Hey, you need something? Why stand there?""Oh, sorry. I was a bit lost." She laughed weirdly. "Um, someone's here to see you. She says her name is Rita."
Louella••••••••••Staring up at the hazy sky of the evening, seated on the small stool on the porch of this old beach house, I sighed hard. I felt a heavy pain in my chest, feeling the need to cough hard. I knew I was supposed to begin my treatments, but how would I do that when I wasn't willing to go back home?It had been days since I saw anyone. After I had left Seth, I had decided to come to this beach house. This was a place Dad, mom and I used to have a vacation, just before Jan and Becca had come into our lives. Though the place gave me bad memories, I really still liked coming here. It was always filled with serenity.I stared down at my shaky fingers, felt really bad for myself. I didn't know the decision to make. Was I really going to let myself die?In a few days, I would run out of food. I had had some money in my
