CHAPTER 77: THE NEEDFUL

Naya’s POV

I spent the entire day avoiding Talon, even when we were in the same room. I couldn't stand being near him after what had happened between us. I knew that I needed space to clear my head and figure out what I wanted, even if I already knew what I wanted.

I wanted to be away from Talon and never show up again. In the bedroom, we gave each other the silent treatment, neither of us wanting to be the first to speak.

There was no way I was going to speak to him first. After all, he was the one who was wrong. He was the one who was supposed to apologize to me. I couldn't stop thinking about the pains he subjected me to.

How could he ever think of hitting me? And, worse off, it wasn’t the first time. I faced the other side of the room and away from Talon. But eventually, we were interrupted by a call from Eric, Talon's father.

“I called the both of you here to talk to you about something important,” he said.
